Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 302
Chapter 302: You merely mistook me for a damsel in distress Chapter 302: You merely mistook me for a damsel in distress The door closed, leaving Eveline alone with Marco inside a room.
She held the helm of her dress tightly, forcing a smile as she stared at him.
Marco smiled smugly, his eyes dangerously focused on the girl in front of him.
The moment she compelled him to speak without hesitation, his passion was stirred, and all he wanted was this beauty underneath him shouting his name.
Marco approached Eveline with caution, as if he were a predator looking for food.
“Should we start?” he inquired, his gaze revealing her bare body, which made Eveline disgusted.
Marco removed every piece of clothing he wore with each step he took, until he was half naked when he stood in front of her.
Eveline averted her gaze, finding his eyes repulsive, but he tried to touch her again, this time placing his palm under her chin and forcing her to stare at him.
“You should not feel shy.
After all, you agreed with me.
Don’t you want the drug?” he inquired.
Eveline nodded, and his lips formed a smile.
“So do as I say,” he took a step back and looked at Eveline calmly.
“Undress,” he announced, taking Eveline by surprise, but she swiftly concealed her emotions, not letting Marco know what she was planning.
Her gaze roamed over his face, and his mind raced with ideas.
She lowered her gaze and held the bag in her hand.
“I feel shy.
Can you turn back?” she lied, and Marco chuckled.
“You’re shy, huh?
Impressive,” Marco said and gently turned around, his back now facing him.
Eveline bit her lip and searched around the room, finding a vase on the side table.
She tiptoed and grabbed the item before gradually approaching the man.
She sought to capture the man before asking him to disclose everything.
That was her initial motivation, but she wondered how she was going to hand him over to the cops when she couldn’t get in touch with Stefan.
‘Damn, why am I so lame when it comes to a solid narrative?’ she lamented, blaming herself for constantly getting into problems.
But she couldn’t let go of this opportunity.
She was convinced that Gracey had located Daniel by now and that they were already preparing to bring in the cops.
“Are you done or not?” She flinches at the sound of his impatient voice and immediately refutes.
“Just a minute,” she replied, softly tightening her grip on the vase before carefully and steadily approaching Marco.
Eveline kept her gaze fixated on the man; her mind determined her next step.

Eveline raised the vase, preparing to counter an attack, when the man quickly grabbed her arm and wrenched it behind her back, completely taking her by surprise.
THUD The vase shattered on the floor, and Eveline wailed loudly as the man threw her against the wall.
“You’re a bitch.
Did you think I was a fool to be seduced by your faux innocence?” Eveline wriggled when she heard his words.
“I already saw through your act, girl, and believe me, you’re not very good at it,” he muttered dangerously next to her ear, leaving Eveline absolutely stunned.
She mistook this man’s stupidity for a victory, but he was shrewd enough to see through her intentions.
“Aren’t you the daughter of the famous businessman Jonathan Miller?” he questioned, and she turned to face him in surprise.
“You are a well-known girl, but you are also foolish enough to believe that no one knows who you are.
And what did you say Stacy told you about me-that convicting since I know the girl was kept back by the cops and the reason you came along was to do so?” Marco knew everything about the lads he would deal substances with, and after being charged by the cops, their communication abruptly ceased.
“You thought getting here was easy, but trust me, girl, leaving this place would be quite difficult for you because you won’t survive by then.” Eveline gaped at his frightening comments and attempted to push him.
But the man suddenly took out his revolver and placed it on her temple.
“Move, and I’ll put all the bullets in your head,” Eveline said, stunned.
Marco smirked at her compliance.
“Who do you work for?” His face darkened at her daring statement.
He growled as he firmly pressed the gun’s head.
“Why do you care when you are not even going to make it alive?” Marco’s eyes were on fire since the girl did not appear to take his statements seriously.
“You wish,” she whispered, perplexing him, and in that brief instant, she brought out the pepper spray from her bag and sprayed it over Marco’s eyes.
“AH…” The man stumbled on his feet, his eyes burning from the spray.
“You know I’m not that fool.
You merely mistook me for a damsel in distress.” Eveline scoffed and sprayed the spray on his face again, making Marco unable to tolerate the impact for long.
This time, he dropped the revolver in his palm and closed his eyes, attempting to block out the searing pain.
Marco could barely see anything in front of his eyes, so Eveline used the opportunity to assault him with the vase right in his skull.
Thud Marco fell unconscious on the floor, leaving Eveline gasping and racing her brain for ideas on how to get him out of here.
Marco wasn’t an ordinary man, but he knew more than he let on, and knowing he had a lead for them to expose Jedrick’s illicit activities, she had to keep him by their side.
Eveline tossed the vase aside and marched across the room, evaluating every possible way to get them out of here, but it wasn’t as simple as it appeared.
She was alone, and given how well the men patrolled the area, it was difficult to get them out without being caught.
Eveline found herself helpless, and then someone knocked on the door, adding to her fears.
Her eyes swung in the direction of the sound, her heart practically contracting and her worries taking over her reasonable thinking.
Eveline’s eyelids fluttered at the notion of someone from his circle stopping by, and she was suddenly worried about how she would deal with them.
Her hands instinctively grabbed for the vase, and her legs moved steadily towards the door.
All she had to do was knock on whoever was outside to avoid being caught.
“Never mind if you have to hide two people inside the room, Eve,” she reminded herself before reaching for the knob and turning it open.
Just as she was about to strike, her hands came to a halt in the air, and her jaw dropped as she realized who was there in front of her.
“Gabriel” flowed out of her tongue like a never-ending spell, and her gaze remained fixed on him as if she were dreaming.
