**** One hour go…

After Stefan abruptly ended the call, Gabriel found himself landing into a deep delimma.

His mind was constantly consumed with Eveline planning on doing something reckless, he knew she was going to regret.

“Damn, why doesn’t this girl listen to me once” Gabriel voiced his disappointment out in frustration seizing Leon’s attention who was currently driving the car.

“Is something wrong Boss?” he asked staring at Gabriel through the rear view mirrow.

Gabriel shot a glance at Leon and scowl.

“Eveline, she decided to pull the plan without me” he stated running his hand through his hand in worry.

Despite being freaking out, Gabriel didn’t stop thinking about the man Eveline planned on dealing with.

Leon gave Gabriel an apologetic look and speeded the car understanding his concern.

Gabriel was brainstorming when suddenly an idea strike his mind and he looked at Leon.

“Leon, there is something I want you to do?” Gabriel voiced sharing a meaningful look with his assistant and he nodded without any doubt.

By the time Gabriel reached the location, he realized that everything was a mess and Eveline was taken by Marco.

Even Daniel and Gracey failed to get in there and Stefan he was cursing himself for failing really bad.

Gabriel looked at Leon and nodded.

“It’s time Leon, make the move” he said and Leon nodded compelling to his boss’s words and pulled out his calling the reception of the bar.  “Vacate the bar, the cops are soon going to put a raid” Leon’s words left Stefan shocked and he turned to look at Gabriel who prepared himself to walk toward the bar.

But before sharing a thoughtful look.

It was then everything clicked his mind and the corner of his lips curled into a proud smile.

“Get the car ready.

We will bring him along” Gabriel stated and in no time they already heard the commotion around the bar.

But that didn’t stop Gabriel stopped a particular someone to make his move.

While the guards were preparing to alarm the guest and vacating the place, Gabriel sneaked inside, walking past through the crowd and made his way to the first floor.

It didn’t take him time to reach the room where Eveline was supposed to be, however the longer she took to open the door, the more his heart pounded in his heart.

‘Just be safe’ was all he was chanting in his mind, until she finally opened the door ready to hit him.

Present Staring at Gabriel in disbelief, Eveline slowly let go of the vase in her hand and pounced on him the next second.

“Oh my goodness Gabriel.

Thank god you are here?” she almost cried hugging him like she had not expected to see him coming for her.  ‘But wait a second?

Was with this noise?’ Eveline furrowed and pulled back taking a look at the sound coming from outside, but before she could ask, Gabriel swiftly grabbed her hand and entered the room.

“We need to take him out from here?” he said, pulling Eveline out of her thoughts and she nodded confusingly.

In no time, Eveline and Gabriel managed to get Marco out of the bar, using another exit where Stefan was already waiting with his car ready.

Quickly shoving unconscious Marco on the backseat of the car, Gabriel motioned Stefan and Leon to drive while he and Eveline with Daniel and Gracey took his car and left the Retro bar without any trace.

**** “What did you do to him?

It’s been more than an hour since he is unconscious” Kaden inquired staring at Eveline who was now hiding her face like a scared kitten.

“I-I didn’t do anything.

I simply hit him with a vase and that too in my self defense” she exclaimed.

They were currently in one of Kaden’s hideout.

Stefan had already informed him about bringing Marco one of Jedrick’s worker, however he didn’t voice his query on the call and agreed to their arrangement by captivating him in one of their cells.

It’s been more than an hour since the man was out and now his lack on consciousness was bothering them.

“Is he still breathing?” Gabriel asked.

“Yes, he is but due to the shot he received on his head, I think he will only wake up after a few hours.

By the way Eveline you should join force.

You do have a good caliber to knock anyone down” Luke who walked out after checking Marco, couldn’t stop himself from appreciating Eveline.

He was surprised to hear how this petite women knock a bulky man like Marco and captivated him.

Kaden shot Luke a glare and his smile faltered.

“She doesn’t need to deal with any of this” he said and Luke nodded before Kaden turn his attention towards the kids.

“You all should leave.

I will inform you once he regains consciousness” he assured and soon everyone left from there.

Stefan and Leon along with Daniel and Gracey drove in one car, Gabriel and Eveline decided to drive in his car.

However he didn’t take Eveline home instead he stopped the car on the side of the road and searched for a first aid box he would always carry in his car.

“Gabriel you don’t need to-” Eveline words halted when he shot her a seething stare and she gulped.

“You don’t get to say anything when you never listen to me at all” Gabriel was clearly pissed, but more that that he was relief that nothing happened to her.

He had been accustomed with Eveline always risking her life without considering his feeling, it made him doubt if she truly loved him to even come up such heart shattering thoughts that would always leave him walking on the edge of the world.

He had already faced the punishment of watching her die in his past life.

However he do not wish to go through the same helplessness in this life too.

But who was going to make her understand, because she really doesn’t consider his emotions at all.  Ignoring her eyes, Gabriel put the ointment on his pad of his finger and applied on the bruise she recieved on her temple.

She also got a slight cut on her lips, however it wasn’t bleeding that much and had dried up.

But the thought of what conspired inside that room, Gabriel couldn’t help but feel a void in his chest.

If only he had not act on his instincts then maybe Eveline would’ve…

No he just couldn’t bring himself to think anything wrong happening to her, but she would always make him feel miserable by not listening to him.

Once he was done, he put the ointment back into the box and kept it on the backseat before turning to start the car.

“Gabriel don’t be upset.

Please” Eveline knew it was futile because she could sense the hostility in his demeanor but still she wanted to explain.

“I said you don’t get to say anything Eveline” this was after a long time did Gabriel called her by her name and that itself made her acknowledge the severity of the situation.

Pursing her lips she looked away.

She couldn’t bring to speak anything any further and soon he started the car and resume the driving.

Throughout the drive to home Gabriel didn’t speak a word, nor did Eveline because she knew she was at fault and really messed up this time.

Despite him warning her, she still decided t go again his words and this time she had badly upset him.

As the car stopped outside the house, Eveline slowly unclutched the seatbelt, however she contemplated stepping out.

Leaving without speak with Gabriel made her heart feel heavy.

She hated the silence between them, and when it became unbearable with every passing silence, she decided to break the ice.

Eveline opened her mouth to say something but Gabriel beat her to it.

“Good night Eveline” and that’s how he ended up leaving no rooms for any conversation between them and she silently got out of the car and he drove away just like that.

Eveline’s heart sank and her eyes well with tears.

She messed up really bad this time.

And she realised it.

Gabriel drove the car at the high speed and reached Kaden’s hideouts.

Both Kaden and Luke were surprised to see Gabriel back but before they could ask anything, he walked past them and barged into the room were Marco laid unconscious.

Before anyone could articulate, Gabriel grabbed the man by his collar and punched him on his face.

Gabriel entire being was fuming with rage and his outburst left everyone shocked.

“Gabriel what is wrong -” Kaden words died in his mouth when Gabriel continued to land punches after punches on that unconscious man and he feared at this rate he wouldn’t even wake up.

Gabriel was like that possesed beast who lost his cool the second he saw Eveline with those bruise on her face.

He was simply holding himself the entire time as he didn’t wanted to scare his girl with his anger.

But now she was no longer around and he was free to do whatever he wanted with this man.

“Gabriel stop it!

You will kill him” Kaden and Luke both rushed to pull Gabriel away, but as if he had suddenly gained immensed power then then, he wasn’t been shaken even a bit.

“Luke get him away” Kaden shouted and after a double force they were finally able to break Gabriel apart.

“I want him awake.

Now!

He dare touch her Uncle.

I want to kill this bastard!” Gabriel shouted his lungs out ready to lunge once again but he was quickly stopped by both the men and thwy dragged him out from the cell and locked the door this time.
