Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 32
Chapter 32: Announcement
Hearing Gabriel’s words, Tiffany swallowed hard. Her once-pleading expression became terrified when she saw the coldness in his eyes.
Tiffany failed to recognize that Gabriel would be watching closely for their subliminal cue, which implied that she was to blame for the fall.
“You have been friends with Eveline for some time now; do you not think your silence has hindered her value in your eyes?” Gabriel questioned, remembering how Tiffany stayed silent the entire time her new so-called friend was disparaging Eveline.
Tiffany was dumbfounded and desperately tried to conjure up a lie to convince Gabriel, but the more he scowled at her, the more her mind froze.
Gabriel, on the other hand, felt awful for Eveline because she made friends with someone who did not support her, and this made him question if what Tiffany had said about Eveline in the car was true.
Gabriel pulled away when Tiffany remained silent, taking her lack of response as confirmation of his suspicions.
Tiffany watched Gabriel leave, anger seeping into her heart while she balled her fist. She thought Gabriel being indifferent to Eveline was the biggest advantage of her ruining their relationship, but she was wrong. He was more than an observing person who kept every little detail about Eveline in his mind.

[Classroom]
Taking her usual seat, Eveline ignored the sharp gaze Gracey shot at her the moment she entered the class. Though she was not surprised by the students’ apparent dislike for her, Gracey’s abrupt change in attitude toward her intrigued her.
She acknowledged that, while they both competed to rank highly each semester, they had a harmonious relationship without ever putting anyone down.
Even though they both made equal contributions to class activities and consistently strived for excellence, Eveline’s opinion of Gracey began to wane after yesterday because Gracey was now closer to Tiffany than she was to anyone else.
All of this clarified why Gracey mocked her the other day, as Tiffany was the one who influenced her.
As the classroom began to fill with students, Gracey stood from her seat and walked towards the podium with an announcement in mind.
“Everyone pay attention; I have an announcement to make.” Gracey’s excited voice echoed through the noisy classroom, eventually quieting it down.
It was unexpected to see Gracey grinning, but she had been speaking up to everyone ever since she was chosen to be this year’s class representative. Despite her initial reserve, it was her way of interacting with the students, and that somewhat made her confident and recognizable in the class apart from Eveline.
Gracey confidently stood in front of the class and took in the silence before they stopped at Eveline and her smile faltered.
Had Eveline failed to appear on election day because of her scandal, she would not have been able to win.
Eveline’s loss turned out to be her victory and she ultimately became the class representative by taking over Eveline’s position.
Gracey gave Eveline a stern look and continued with her announcement about the sports day event that would be held in the same week.
Participation was encouraged by all students in each department since the final term score would be determined by their performance.
Every year, students looked forward to playing their favorite sport and winning points that improved their performance for the semester. Although it was labor-intensive and enjoyable at the same time, it helped them decompress from their everyday classes.
Eveline’s eyes sparkled as she looked forward to the sports day and winning matches she would be participating in.
Even though Eveline had lost every game she played the previous year, she was determined not to let anyone ruin her day now that she was back and in a better mood.
Eveline decided that since she had already severed her relationship with Tiffany, the only person responsible for her misfortune, she would not make the same error again and would not let her ruin it for her.

Additionally, the final-year class received the same announcement. While the majority of students were joyful, a few were upset because it was their last year to attend this kind of event.
“It is going to be fun this year. Gab, what games do you think we should play this time?” Stefan inquired, thrilled to hear the news.
In addition to their academic prowess, the boys demonstrated excellent sportsmanship. The two had always made Aspen College proud, having won every state championship and never losing a single match.

However, this was merely a sports day the college organized for the students, and they were all invited to take part in as many games as they wanted. They would not be receiving medals for winning.
“I will go with a tug of war. I am eager to see how strong I am,” Stefan muttered, flexing his bicep.
Stefan had been going to the gym to get in better shape, and the results were pretty satisfying—he gained a lot of muscles that he would occasionally show off.
“Are you certain that you can pull the rope? What about your palms getting scratched? Forget about scratching; what if you fall? Won’t you lose your face in front of all the girls?” Gabriel asked, giving Stefan a slack look as he quickly lost his enthusiasm.
Stefan was self-conscious about getting hurt while playing, so he quickly changed his mind.
“No, I can’t let that happen. “I will pick another sport,” he declared, causing Gabriel to chuckle at his conflicted feelings.
Even though he could not wait for sports day, he was more interested in finding out which games Eveline would be playing this time.
But shortly after, he was reminded of the sports day from the previous year, which instantly snatched away the smile on his face.
The thought of Eveline facing a malfunction that year turned his mood sour. Despite his best efforts to save her quickly, he was unable to prevent the students from seeing her in her underwear.
‘How can you be so careless, Eveline? Did you see how everyone was laughing at you?’
Those words instantly rang into his mind while he continued to recall Eveline telling him that she had been careful the entire time and it wasn’t her fault.
