Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 350
Chapter 350: Twins Chapter 350: Twins “If he is the real Bernard, then where is Leonard?” Eveline asked.
Kaden shook his head in despair.
“We don’t know,” he lamented.
Gabriel and Eveline shared a solemn expression.
There was something a miss, that raised questions in Gabriel’s mind.
“Then why would Jedrick monitor Bernard” he suddenly asked.
“If Leonard is not Bernard, then Jedrick has no point to keeping a tab on him, but still he has his men looking at him.
Why?” Eveline concurred with a nod.
“I doubt he knows something that we don’t,” she remarked, leading Kaden to think about her remarks.
He had his doubts as well, but the reality was that Leonard had not been located and that attempting to interrogate the genuine Bernard had been fruitless.
“You can be right, but for now we can’t get Bernard for interrogation since he holds a clear background and as far as Leonard is concerned, I will have my men looking for him,” said Kaden.
While Eveline consented immediately, Gabriel remained undecided.
“What’s bothering you?” Kaden sought Gabriel’s attention.
“H-How can you be certain that Leonard is missing and that this person is the actual Bernard?
I mean, you stated they were identical twins, which implies they had the same appearance and possibly the same blood group, but that still doesn’t prove they aren’t the same people.” Kaden furrowed his brow, perturbed by Gabriel’s remark, and asked, “Be clear?” He wanted to know what this kid had in his mind.
Based on what Leon told Gabriel, Leonard may have disguised himself as Bernard; in reality, it was his twin brother.
But it was still unclear where the real Leronard was and how Jedrick was obligated to monitor Bernard unless he knew him.
“I still think they are the same people or else there would’ve been any news about Leonard,” said Gabriel.
Kaden continued to wonder.
Gabriel had a point, but he also doubted it.
“Our doubts can only be confirmed if we find both twins.
If your suspicions are correct, then it’s safe to say that one of the twins is either gone or lost,” Kaden pointed out.
Gabriel agreed.
“Then I suppose we need to dig in more details,” Kaden suggested.
After the meeting, Kaden drove back to his base, while Gabriel and Eveline went back to their offices.
Just as they entered the elevator, Eveline grasped Gabriel’s wrist.
“You still think they are the same person and there is no Leonard?” Eveline inquired, her eyes querying him with curiosity.
“I doubt it, but I believe we should let Uncle Kaden find more.
There is no doubt that the information he discovered is not untrue.
They are twins, but we don’t know who the real Bernard is,” he said, pausing briefly in between.

“And if this person is the real Bernard, then why would Jedrick be interested in keeping tabs on him unless they know each other?” he questioned.
Eveline agreed with what Gabriel stated.
“It makes sense.
I think we should wait to hear from Uncle Kaden.
Surely he would discover some major piece of evidence that proves our suspicions.” Eveline was being cautious since she didn’t want to mess up anything having to do with her life’s reality.
So she trusted Gabriel and decided to let Kaden take the lead instead.
**** Kaden picked up Sherlyn from her clinic later that evening and they went to the beach to spend some alone time.
“I thought you had no work in the clinic.” Kaden inquired, directing his focus to Sherlyn.
Sherlyn stared out at the big sea as they sat next to each other on the sand.
Her eyes caught the glitter of the bright water.
But they weren’t really amused; she appeared to have zoned out until he initiated the conversation.
Sherlyn pulled away from her thoughts and smiled weakly.
“A patient arrived, so I had to run back to the clinic,” she replied, retaining that tiny smile for a while before darting her gaze back to the water.
Kaden nodded and followed her line of sight.
Even the silence between them seemed serene.
“Let’s hear your story.
How is your sister alive?
And what happened to her?” Sherlyn questioned, breaking the stillness.
She had asked Kaden the same question previously, but he refused to answer.
She asked the same question again since she was more interested in his life than ever before.
Kaden’s brow arched in surprise, a slight, amused smile staying on his face as he looked back at her.
She resembled that inquisitive medical student who wants to understand everything.
Kaden shook his head in amusement at his own idea, which caused Sherlyn to pout softly and he let out a laugh.
“Did I say anything funny?” she inquired.
“No” “Then why did you laugh?” she said, her demeanor serious.
Kaden shook his head, refuting her accusation.
“Nothing.
I just noticed how cute you look with that little pout,” he joked, deepening her scowl and making her huff.
“Is this a compliment or should I get offended?” “Take it how you like, but what I stated is true.
You are just adorable, and for that, I will answer all of your questions,” he added, tapping the tip of her nose, causing her to scrunch.
Sherlyn slowly relaxed as she watched Kaden speak.
“My sister never died.
In reality, her existence was suppressed in order to protect her and her family from the one who was pursuing their lives.” “You mean someone tried to kill her?” Sherlyn inquired, and he nodded in agreement.
“Erna survived a fatal gunshot that almost killed her.” As soon as Sherlyn heard the name, her jaw dropped and her gaze widened in horror.
“Erna?” she inquired doubtfully.
“Yes, Erna Miller, Jonathan Miller’s wife and my sister,” he replied, leaving her speechless.
She had her doubts, but now that Kaden has revealed everything, it seems to make sense to her.
“Do you have her photo?
I-I mean, your sister Erna’s photo.” Sherlyn faltered when she requested the photograph.
Kaden nodded and promptly took out his phone.
“Here” Sherlyn stood still as soon as Erna’s portrait appeared in front of her.
Everything became plain to her.
The familiar names in her story.
The way she described her life was both beautiful and heartbreaking.
Kaden observed Sherlyn’s face turning pale and the calmness on his altered.
“Is everything okay?
You’re staring at her photo as if you’ve seen a ghost,” he asked, breaking her silence.
Sherlyn shoved aside her fuzzy thoughts and looked directly into Kaden’s eyes.
“You remember I told you I have a patient visiting me home this morning?” Kaden nodded.
“Yes, what about them?” “The visitor was your sister.
She has been seeking therapy from me for quite some time.” Sherlyn’s remarks struck him like ton of bricks, utterly disorienting him.
