Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 352
Chapter 352: I had no idea Chapter 352: I had no idea Erna hurried to Sherlyn’s residence.
Despite the mild ache in her head, she smiled politely and greeted the doctor.
Sherlyn, on the other hand, was nervous but maintained a courteous veneer.
After discovering who Erna was, everything began to feel strange.
Despite being honest about Erna’s reason for visiting, she received a request to keep it a secret.
Kaden did not want to disrupt any of their therapy, so he asked Sherlyn to continue them without informing anyone.
“Should we start?” Sherlyn inquired as she watched Erna settle into the recliner.
Despite her discomfort, Erna nodded with a feeble smile and slowly closed her eyes.
Sherlyn began the process as usual, guiding Erna to the past, but as the session progressed, she discovered Erna was barely responding to her.
She had to ask her twice for an answer, and now she was completely silent; that started to bother her.
“Can you hear me, Mrs.
Erna?
What do you see?” She inquired a second time, but the scene she witnessed left her stunned.
“Mrs.
Miller, can you hear me?” Her voice trembled as she frantically reached out to shake her hand.
Erna was in a state of profound sweating, shaking, and heavy respiration prior to her complete loss of reaction.
Sherlyn became terrified by her warped state.Panicked, she grabbed her phone from the side table and called Kaden, who responded right away.
“Kaden, please come here.
Your sister, she-is… ” Even before Sherlyn could finish, Kaden was on his feet, making his way to her location.
**** Eveline, who had just entered the room with a bundle of printed paperwork in her hand, paused when her phone rang.
Her lips curled into a mischievous grin as she saw Kaden’s name flash on the screen, but when she answered the phone, everything fell silent.
Gabriel, who had his gaze fixed on her at all times, witnessed the smile on her face vanish in an instant, fully bathing her face in horror.
“What happened to Mom?
How is she?
What are you doing there?” She hurriedly bombarded Kaden with questions, but he simply requested that she come to the hospital.
Gabriel was already on his feet, grabbing his car key and rushing out of the cabin, while Eveline remained on the phone, pleading with Kaden to answer.
Eveline was on the edge of breaking down by the time they arrived, and she burst into tears when she saw her father absolutely still sitting on the bench near the emergency ward’s door.
No one knew what was wrong with Erna in the middle of the hypnosis session, but when Jonathan revealed that Erna had a moderate headache and also mild fever, things started to make sense.
Erna made a false effort, despite her discomfort, which resulted in a violent shock that knocked out all of her senses, including consciousness.
However, this sad situation involved risk, which worried Sherlyn.

“Do not worry.
She will be fine,” Kaden reassured her as he gently stroked her back, attempting to ease her burden of self-blame for the sad incident.
After a few stressful minutes, the doctor stepped out.
Sherlyn was the first to approach him.
“How is she doing, doctor?” she said, concerned.
The remainder followed suit and heard the doctor’s response.
Fortunately, Doctor Sherlyn quickly brought the patient to safety.
She passed out due to a false alarm.
There is nothing to worry about,” the doctor stated with a reassuring smile before walking away.
Everyone heaved a sigh of relief, but Eveline remembered something and moved closer to Kaden.
“I’d like to speak with you both,” Eveline stated, looking at Sherlyn and Kaden before the three, along with Gabriel, excused themselves.
Jonathan accompanied Erna to another ward while she settled into her bed.
Despite being on an IV drip and having her heart rate and oxygen level monitored, she remained motionless with her eyes closed.
Jonathan was upset, but the dread of losing her outweighed his disappointment with Erna.
Despite his objections, she persisted in choosing hypnotherapy.
Fortunately, the person overseeing her case was none other than Sherlyn, a well-known doctor from her batch.
“Why don’t you hear me, Erna?” “Why hurt yourself so much?” he muttered, caressing the back of her hand, a tear streaming down his cheek as he spoke with her.
But, to his dismay, she never replied.
Meanwhile, in a remote area of the hospital, the couple stood opposite one another.
While one resembled a terrified cat, the other couple was furious like a wolf.
“Are you two going to attack us?” Sherlyn broke the oppressive silence by casting her gaze back and forth between Eveline and Gabriel.
Gabriel, who had been emulating Eveline’s solemn attitude, instantly changed his expression and shook his head.
Kaden scoffed at Sherlyn’s remarks.
“She’s basically a puppy wagging her tail in wrath.
Don’t assume she’s a wolf,” he replied, disregarding Eveline’s piercing glare.
“Why didn’t you tell me anything?” Eveline dismissed his statement and immediately shifted her focus.
She was determined to reprimand her uncle until she was satisfied, but the man remained obstinate.
“I didn’t know anything until yesterday,” Kaden exclaimed, unaware of her brooding eyes, which gradually softened in confusion.
“Yesterday?” she mumbled.
“Yes, yesterday was the day when he found everything,” Sherlyn voluntarily said, lifting her hand to dispel the misunderstanding that forced Eveline to retreat completely from accusing Kaden.
Sherlyn relayed the entire narrative, putting an end to everyone’s concerns, her eyes welling up with tears.
“I had absolutely no indication she had a headache.
It is risky to perform hypnosis when the person is ill, and believe me, I never thought she was suffering.
I realize it’s my fault that I didn’t notice her properly.
Sherlyn continued to speak in her defense, her voice nearly quivering.
“Aunt, that’s okay.” “….” Kaden grimaced hopelessly.
“A-aunt,” Sherlyn muttered, still adjusting to her new status.
“Okay, enough of blaming yourself,” Kaden grumbled, dragging Sherlyn to his side and looking at Eveline.
“Are you convinced that I am not really hiding anything from you?” Kaden sighed.
“But I did,” Eveline whispered quietly, causing Kaden’s brow to furrow.
“You what?” He questioned, his hearing sharp enough not to miss a single word.
Eveline swallowed at the sight of his gloomy gaze and mumbled again, this time a little more loudly.
“I knew Mom was up to something, Gabriel told me but not entirely.
Everyone’s gaze shifted to Gabriel, who immediately felt anchored.
“I-I…
couldn’t, she told me.” “Mr.
Willow, Doctor Sherlyn, the patient is awake.”The nurse interrupted their conversation and led them all to Erna’s ward.
