Chapter 43: A new boy

“Mom you have been dealing with his shits for years and over the time he came to learn that no matter what he does, you are there as his backup. But not anymore more Mom. I can’t deal with this, it’s ruining our life” Tiffany was pissed after the whole incident that occured last night.

Her father was getting beaten by some thugs who asked him give money in exchange of his life and to spare himself he used all her mother’s savings she hide inside the closery as an escape.

Tiffany begged those people to stop harming Jacob, but after what he did in return she regretted her actions. It would’ve been better if the had killed him then and there. Atleast they would’ve been free from this daily misery.

Susan couldn’t believe what she heard. She was stressed over the fact that she lost some money from her wallet only to learn that Jaconb had stolen it only to get this lottery ticket.

Slowly darting her gaze towards Jacob she frown.

Tiffany waited for Susan to react but when she simply kept looking at her father she scoffed in disbelief.

“There you go again. This is going in loops for God knows how long and I don’t think there is ever going to be a change in your thoughts over him”

Susan looked back at her daughter and sighed,” He is your father Tiffany and no matter how he is, it our responsibility to look after him. But -” before Tiffany could misunderstand her words she paused giving her a let me speak look and said,

“But that doesn’t mean he would keep using us and get away with everything. I will find a way to talk with him when he is sober and if he still continues to behave the same then, then I have no choice but to warn him” she stated firmly

Tiffany was finally relaxed after Susan decided to give some thought to her advice and don’t keep forgiving her husband.

“By the way, where are you going so early. It’s still time for your college?” Susan inquired when she saw Tiffany getting ready to leave.

“Oh, I forgot to tell you. It’s for the sport day practice. I will be leaving home early for a few days” Tiffany said forgetting about her father and talked causally.

“Okay, that nice. I hope you win this year too” Susan cheered her and continued to work.

She quickly prepared the breakfast and served it for Tiffany.

“Eat everything and do not leave anything behind.” Susan warned as she joined her on their small dinning table.

Quickly eating her breakfast Tiffany left for college whereas Susan waited for sometime hoping to see Jacob wake up but when he did, she decided to head for work.

Tiffany reached the bus stop, feeling strange after whatever happened yesterday in the classroom. She was yet to get over with the humiliation she faced because of Eveline, however she promised not to let her win so easily.

Tiffany was plotting something to get even with Eveline when a smile crept on her face.

Last year you managed to escape a blow to your character Eveline because of Gabriel, however this year’s sport day would be memorable.

With a vicious intentions Tiffany turned her gaze towards the upcoming bus and quickly climb on riding off to the Aspen College.

Eveline got down the car when her eyes caught the sight of Alex standing before her.

She frown recalling about his lie however she decided to act innocent, and play along with the motive of finding his intentions behind this naive facade.

“Alex, why aren’t you in tne field yet? All participants were supposed to gather there” Eveline asked standing before him.

She remembered him as one of the participants in the same sport as hers, and being in one team they were asked to come for the practice a little earlier.

“I was waiting for you? You know I don’t talk to anyone else” Alex awkwardly responded staring at Eveline.

Though he wore those round specs,still Eveline couldn’t fail to ignore the impurity in them.

It was risky to be around Alex as she had no clue what he would do go her. But she had to be brave in order to find his intentions and why did he lie to her in the first place.

Eveline couldn’t just confront him as she didn’t wanted him to know about how she find it, so being closer to him was her only way to know the kind of person he was.

Gabriel told her Alex harbour ill intentions towards her and had been stalking her discreetly for a while now, but never once she got suspicious of him until this scandal happened.

Eveline forced a smile pretending to be surprised and said,” Oh, so doesn’t that mean we should both head now”

Alex smiled at her awkwardness however he agreed with her instantly and they both soon walked towards the field.

Eveline kept her distance however Alex, he was feeling giddy watching Eveline being nice go him. He had always desire of her attention, but he never thought she would agree to be friends with him, excluding all the eyes that gave them a strange look.

“Has Eveline’s taste in boys changed. What with her being with that dork?” Someone commented looking at the two.

“Serious what games is she planning to remain on the top. Such an attention seeker” another one said.

Alex sneered glancing at the girls who dare to pass comment on them, but more than that he was curious as to how come Eveline was still unbothered when,

“Don’t pay attention to them. Dogs bark, they are just enjoying for the lack of attention they recieve”

Alex gape at Eveline in shock, unable to comprehend that she caught his thoughts with her eyes ahead.

“Hmm” he simply nodded, however he made sure to get even with those girl who dared to bath mouth them.

As the two made their way towards their team members, someone from a distance stop Gabriel by pointing in the opposite direction.

“Dude, is this why Eveline is no more interested in you. Look she has a new boy”
