Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 47
Chapter 47: Little boy
Eveline walked into the classroom, her demeanor composed with no sigh of emotional breakdown.
Her gaze scanned the entire room before settling on Alex, who was seated normally at the end.
Giving up her seat, she moved in his direction and occupied the space beside him.
“Do you mind if I sit here?” she asked formally.
Alex shook his head, despite Eveline already sitting next to him, ignoring the dumbness marred on his face, and started taking out her books.
All eyes swiveled to focus on the two, and the muted conversation in the hallway soon became louder about them. First in the playground and now inside the class, Eveline didn’t see to leave the dorky boy Alex alone, suddenly raising questions about their closeness.
Someone who had not received much attention before became the talk of the college, and Eveline was the reason behind it—she began paying him more attention than usual.
Tiffany, who had just entered, observed the students as they were having a private conversation. She initially thought it was for her, but after a moment, she followed a line of sight and noticed Eveline and Alex seated together.
Tiffany had been doubtful about the sudden closeness of the two, but then she remembered Alex telling her that Eveline agreed to become his friend and they were great. That could, therefore, be the reason they were together.
She walked over to her seat and settled in, ignoring everyone else’s conversation.
“Tiffany, did you notice that?” Tiffany turned to face Gracey when she heard her whisper, grabbing her attention from behind.
Despite whatever happened yesterday, Gracey still maintained her friendship with Tiffany. It was surprising to see her talk with her normally, but then wasn’t she one like her hating over Eveline? Maybe that’s why it didn’t concern her much about what occurred in the classroom.
“Are they two dating?” she asked, gesturing to the two students seated at the last bench.
“I overheard some of our seniors talking about how they got together before practice.”
Although Gracey was not there to see the two walking together as the senior student had described, she now observes them conversing as though they have been friends from the start, or perhaps they stayed lowkey about their status.
“I am not sure, but do not you think her charming conversations are deceiving another helpless person?” Tiffany glared at Eveline and Alex, then shot a quick glance back at Gracey and grinned.
Gracey shuddered, finding Alex’s presence intimidating. “I know, but who is going to go and talk with Alex? His existence is as mysterious as his presence in the class. Have you seen him associating with anyone? That is strange how he is so comfortable around Eveline.”
The eerie-looking boy who spent the entire three years isolating himself finally struck up a conversation with Eveline. She recalled that the instructors were also growing weary of him since, despite their best efforts to elucidate, he was unable to comprehend what they were attempting to teach and yet completed the semester with an average grade.
However, when they were paired for an assignment, she had observed Eveline to be the one providing guidance. That was the only interaction she saw between them until now.
“I am sure he is intelligent enough to understand what is going on, so do not rank your brain so highly.” Tiffany brushed off her concern without letting much out and looked away.
‘If only she knew the one who needed warning wasn’t Alex but Eveline’

Prior to the business entrance, a black Rolls-Royce Phantom comes to a stop, and Stefan and Marcus exit at the same time.
As Stefan had previously been introduced to numerous business delegates during the annual party event, everyone knew he was the owner’s son, so when they saw him, they all simultaneously bowed to greet him.
Stefan was uncomfortable with the gesture, but he did not argue with them and gave them another nod.
The father-son pair then ascended to the fourteenth floor, where their main office was located.
Stefan scowled as he glanced over at his father, who was having a serious conversation with his current secretary.
Ella Stewart, an Aspen University postgraduate student, took over her father’s position after his untimely death, doing a beautiful job managing it for the final two years.
Marcus was not the only one impressed by her work ethic; the entire office was in awe of her perfection.

The elegant, astute, and stunning woman led his father like a devoted follower, functioning as no less than a human robot that programmed her memories with all of the private information regarding their business.
Her face would never show emotion, and her intimidating eyes would make anyone’s pants drop. He wondered if she ever smiled.
Stefan was getting bored hearing their discussion. Because of his tendencies toward workaholism, his father did take occasional breaks until they arrived at his office.
“Ella is your boss for the time being since this is your first day of work,” Marcus said. “She will mentor you throughout your internship.”
Stefan turned to face the woman, whose round spectacles were perched on her nose bridge, and nodded.
Ella gave off the impression of one of those bookish students who never had fun. He had to admit, though, that she had a stunning face and body that complemented her formal attire flawlessly.
“All right,” he replied after giving the secretary a thorough examination.
“From now on, Stefan is your responsibility,” Marcus told Ella and the two departed the office.
As Ella approached her office and greeted the staff members who passed by, Stefan was struck by her attractiveness. Although she had a somewhat uninteresting appearance, her eyes lit up when she nodded to each of her coworkers.
With a mysterious smile on his lips, he stated, “In this case, a lot of hard work would be required.”
“Excuse me? Did you say anything?” She asked, pausing in the middle, then turned to look at him.
“Did you hear me saying anything, Ella?” Stefan shrugged, his eyes glittering mischievously at her, reminding me of the same frown he had seen that day.
“Remember I am your boss. Don’t you dare flirt with me little boy” Ella warned however her words only made him smile further.
Taking a step closer Stefan whispered,” But I wasn’t a little guy when we have fun that night”
