Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 81
Chapter 81: I want to kiss you
The lecture was yet to begin, but Eveline’s thoughts were occupied with reliving the moment she had spent with Gabriel the previous evening. She still could not get rid of the sensation of Gabriel’s lips on her and the intense heat her body experienced at that mere moment.
Eveline told herself to forget it but no matter what she said, her memories wouldn’t erase the image of Gabriel’s pleading eyes begging her to stay.
Gabriel was showing her his feelings, which was unusual, but she could not help but notice that everything sounded genuine and authentic.
“Should I wait for Dad to get back?” Eveline was having second thoughts concerning Gabriel’s request. However, she was unable to allow herself to become weak since he was once again making her heart lean toward him.
She knew the consequences of being vulnerable and would never want to go with the same fate where she would be left alone with nothing to hold onto.
“Do you mind if I join you?” Eveline was startled out of her reverie by a voice, and she looked up to see Alex grinning amiably.
Eveline regained her composure quickly, smiling again, and moved to give him room beside her.
She recalled what Gabriel told her about him and Tiffany working together against her.
Eveline had this burning anger inside of her, but she had to keep it a secret from them for the time being.
Though, at the time, she was too innocent and blind to see through their lies, Eveline never realized that she was surrounded by people who had been lying to her for their own personal gain. Now, however, she would make sure to fight them back if they happened to think of ruining her life.
Tiffany was, of course, at the top of her list, followed by Alex; she just needed to pick one step at a time to get back on track.
With a smile, Alex took a seat and began to take the books off of his back. But in the process, a tiny bottle unintentionally fell to the ground, seizing Eveline’s attention.
She stooped to pick up the bottle, read the name on it, and then scowled.
Eveline quickly realized what that meant, but she chose to pretend not to know.
“Alex, do you take medication?” she inquired, restraining herself.
As soon as she said those words, Alex stopped abruptly, his eyes darting toward her before settling on the bottle she was holding.
Observing the blood drain from Alex’s face, Eveline smiled in her head.
Alex fumbled with his expression as he looked back and forth from the bottle to Eveline before snatching the bottle from her.
“It is merely an ordinary medication,” Alex lied hastily, stuffing the bottle into his bag and fastening the zipper.
Eveline fumed watching him lie right in her face.
“But they don’t seem like one.” She retorted, “I believe it mentioned usage for mental illness,” eliminating any possibility of disagreement.
“No, they are not” he stood firm on his words declining it again with his eyes barely meeting hers.
Eveline realized Alex’s refrain from accepting that he had a mental condition, so she decided to use another way to make him accept it.
“You know you can trust me, right? I will not tell anyone,” she said, quickly reaching her hand and resting it on the back of his palm, startling him with her actions right away.
His defenses crumbled as Alex glanced at Eveline, whose comforting gaze made his eyes flutter helplessly.
Tiffany, meanwhile, was observing Alex and Eveline intently from a different seat when she suddenly noticed them holding hands.
Her lips quivered at the sight of them staring into each other’s eyes, making her envy Eveline even more.
Her mother’s morning remarks soon begin to reverberate in her head. and her eyes got dark. She drew back right away and gritted her teeth in fury.
Her mother wanted her to forget Gabriel, but that would never happen. Eveline and Gabriel were meant to be married, but she could not let that happen.

Gabriel was all hers, and she refused to let go. Eveline cannot take him.
She swiftly took out her phone, secretly took their photos, and sent them along with a caption to Gabriel.
Do you still believe Eveline has feelings for you? Tiffany was tired of playing innocent in front of everyone, but from now on she would make sure Gabriel saw the true Eveline, the one who was controlling Alex as well as him.
She wanted him to know that Eveline was not really that innocent for them to take her carelessly and believe her blindly. She was that shady girl who enjoyed picking on their gullible hearts.
In the meantime, Gabriel’s eyes went from being calm to being enraged as the temperature inside Stefan’s room suddenly dropped.
Seeing something on his phone, he quickly withdrew it from his grasp to reveal an image of Eveline and Alex staring intently into each other’s eyes while holding hands.
“What the heck?” Stefan bit his tongue quickly enough to realize that Tiffany was the sender. To fan the flames even further, Tiffany included a doubt-inducing caption with the photo.
“Gabby, you don’t need to-” Stefan couldn’t finish his word when Gabriel suddenly got up, snatched the phone from him, and dashed out of his room carrying the same furious aura.
Stefan took a deep breath, prepared to follow his friend, but paused to answer his phone when it rang.
“A reminder that we have a meeting with the foreign delegate this afternoon, so make sure to be on time or prior if possible to have everything checked one last time” Ella’s voice reverberated through the phone instantly suppressing the worries from his face.
Hearing the sound of the retreating car from the window, he sighed and nodded in agreement.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be there on time” Stefan said gradually hanging up the call and returning to his room to get changed.

When lunchtime finally arrived, Eveline and Alex left the classroom together, planning to go to the cafeteria, but they were startled to see Gabriel waiting for them outside.
Gabriel took a long stride in the direction of Eveline as soon as their eyes met, ready to drag her away.
“What are you doing?” Gabriel turned to face Alex, who was restraining Eveline’s departure by holding her other hand.
Eveline gave the two boys a simultaneous look before turning to face their firm wrist grips, which made her appear like a rope that they were meant to pull from either side.
She squirmed a little, thinking that would be a sign for them to get over her, but these obstinate boys will not give up, which makes it difficult for her to bear the hurt.
“That is none of your business,” Gabriel shot back, his icy glare nearly puncturing Alex’s heart for even considering holding Eveline’s hand.
Refusing to release Eveline’s hand, Alex countered, “Yes, it is my business because she is having lunch with me. So let go of her hand. She isn’t going anywhere with you”
Gabriel eyes darkened hearing Alex’s firm words and in the spike of rage he pulled Eveline forcefully to his side.
“AH” Eveline whimper caused Alex to instantly let go of her hand.
“Eveline are you alright-” before Alex could inquire Gabriel dragged Eveline with him paying no heeds to whatsoever and left from there.
Alex’s gritted his teeth furious and was about to follow them when someone grabbed his hand stopping from taking a step.
“Come with me” Alex wasn’t given a chance and was taken away by Tiffany.

With an aura of pure rage, Gabriel continued dragging Eveline until he discovered an empty room, at which point he pulled her in and forcefully closed the door.
Before Eveline could even process the shock, Gabriel questioned, “What the hell was going on between you and Alex?”
“Why was he holding your hand?” he asked, approaching her cautiously.
The moment Gabriel laid eyes on the picture, he became so enraged that he could not help but pursue Alex and chop off any arm that ventured to come into contact with Eveline.
“Where else did he touch you?” Gabriel asked, causing Eveline to furrow in confusion.
“G-Gabriel, could you please let me explain?” She stumbled as she tried to absorb everything he said.
Eveline was not sure how Gabriel had found out that they were holding hands, but she had to tell him the whole truth to stop his insanity.
“No, first tell me why did he hold your hands?” Gabriel disregarded her statements and persisted in questioning her, striding angrily at every step until her back collided with the wall.
Gabriel stood an inch away, boring his deep grey eyes into her blue ones, demanding an answer. He would let Eveline do anything in her life as long as it made her happy, but getting along with any other guy except him was forbidden.
Despite knowing how much Gabriel despises Alex, she still lets him hold her hand. Why?
Thud!
Slamming his hand against the wall, Gabriel caged Eveline between them.
He moved his face closer to her and said, “You know what I feel like doing now?”
Knowing the depth of his rage that ran deep in his blood, she shuddered at every breath he took and nodded.
“I want to kiss you to the point where your mind and body only crave me and no one else.”
When Eveline noticed that he was staring down at her lips, she gulped. Then, out of the blue, he slammed her lips, surprising her.
