Chapter 95: I want to devour you

“I hope that everything I teach makes sense to you. Tell me if it is not the case.” Taking a small piece of stand away from her face and tucking it behind her ear, Gabriel muttered slowly.

At his abrupt gesture, Eveline paused and slowly turned to face him.

She had been watching him all along. He was giving her instructions, but he never took his eyes off of her. They persisted in putting all of her facial expressions into his head while boring him.

“Hm, I will,” After answering, she swiftly returned her focus to the text.

While he continued to divert her attention with his occasional startling gestures, Gabriel asked her to write down everything they had learned for this session.

His mind suddenly wandered to the question, “How long have you been dealing with lack of sleep?”

Eveline hesitated once more and pursed her lips due to anxiety.

With her eyes fixed on the book, she questioned, “Why do you want to know?”

Gabriel, though, continued to observe her hesitation as she continued to fiddle with the pen in her hand.

Eveline had slept soundly in his arms that night in his car, and even though it was getting late, he did not have the heart to wake her up and let her sleep for a while. Gabriel did not know when Eveline had this problem, but he wanted to know so he could help her.

He knew, though, that when she was back at him, that would not be the case. It would be difficult for someone who relied on herbal tea to obtain the much-needed sleep naturally.

Gabriel took Eveline’s hand and stopped her from playing with the pen when she remained silent. “I just want to help you, Eve,” he asked, forcing her to look at him. Are you having trouble falling asleep because of the stress or something else going on in your environment?

Eveline blinked a few times, her pupils gradually dilating from his intense stare.

Was she supposed to tell him that it was because of him that she got this disorder, or was it because she was unable to find peace that she began to rely on high doses of medication?

She wanted to hide a lot of things from him about her life since she knew that exposing the truth would only make her appear creepy to him.

Gazing downward, she nodded in agreement with his assertion, and a moment later, he embraced her tightly in his arms.

Taking her by surprise, Eveline felt him kiss her head a moment later.

He whispered, putting an immense amount of warmth in her heart, “I wish to take all the stress out of your life, Eve. Just trust me.”

Her eyes filled with tears, but she blinked them away and nodded, pressing her face against his chest.

Her favorite place to find calm was a Gabriel hug. That calm, though, was fleeting, as the following day he would forget everything.

That was how the couple lived for a while until they made the decision to move out.

His heart broke at the sudden thought of not being able to spend enough time with Eveline while teaching.

Soon, Professor Beckham would return, and she would go take lessons from him, taking away from his time spent with her.

“We need to schedule our meeting time. I can’t stay away from you so long” Gabriel suddenly spoke leaving Eveline stun.

This man wanted them to set a time for their meeting even though he was like glue, never really leaving her side and even claiming her before anyone else.

Eveline gave him a look that made it obvious she was not happy with his suggestion.

“What? Did you forget that starting next week, we will not be meeting as frequently as usual as you would start taking lessons from Professor Beckham?” He said with a straight face, “We should come up with a backup since our time together would be cut short.”

Even though Gabriel knew he was overreacting, he would not back down from her. In addition, he was unable to leave her by herself since he knew that Alex was trying to get close to her.

“I do not think that is possible. My schedule is packed and I do not think I can spend more time with you than this,” Eveline said quickly.

She needed to maintain her focus on the matters at hand because she had things to handle. She is unable to continue satisfying his request because he demands it.

He was cute at times, but overall, he was annoying.

Gabriel glare at her but Eveline continued to ignore him until they reached home.

As Eveline saw her father’s car parked beneath the shield, her eyes glistened with delight, and she swiftly swung to go.

“Where are you going without giving me a goodbye kiss”

“…”

As the driver heard his Young Master’s words, he coughed awkwardly. Gabriel, however, ignored his response and persisted in holding Eveline’s hand to prevent her from going.

Eveline glanced at Gabriel, then at the driver.

“A kiss?” she inquired, and he nodded before slowly bringing his face up to meet hers.

“Yes, a kiss,” he replied, leaving her stunned.

He is demanding another kiss, but have not they already shared one?

With a swallow, Eveline peered around. Even the driver activated the partition that blocked his view of the backseat and the car’s windows were tinted, making it impossible for anyone to see them.

“Just one kiss, okay?” He nodded in response to Eveline’s question, his lips curled into a triumphant smile.

Eveline closed her eyes and leaned forward to gently kiss his cheek, but instead, he cupped the back of her head and gave her a mouthful of passion that seemed to last forever.

Her head turned dizzy and she clutched onto his shirt for balance while his lips nibbled her earnestly.

Even though he frequently stole it, Gabriel could not get enough of her lips.

Eveline gasped for air as he devoured her with his mouth like a ravenous beast, but that only gave him an opportunity to slip his tongue into her cave.

“Eve, I want to devour you so badly.” he muttered leaving her breathless.
