Chapter 99: Accident

With a savage smile, Alex watched the video on his phone and then turned to leave the boy’s restroom.

His eyes gleam sinisterly as he remembered the moment he discovered Dr. Lilith was one of the camp’s doctors via Tiffany.

The video was only meant to serve as a warning alert before he sent it to her from the college.

He was aware that Lilith was in charge of him and that there would be no way for him to persuade her to reveal his medical history before anybody else besides threatening her.

A chilly glint flashed across his eyes as he realized it was none other than Gabriel who had convinced her to join him. It was he who proposed the medical as a reward to the dean in exchange for winning sport day.

Despite his previous lack of concern, Alex now feels compelled to take action.

It would be difficult for him to have Eveline with Gabriel’s shadow hovering over him all the time.

While she was aware of his illness, the girl was still attempting to understand him, and the boy was attempting to keep them apart.

No, it was not going to happen that quickly. True enough, he would see to it that Gabriel was removed from Eveline’s existence.

Alex entered the parking lot through the emergency exit door and found Gabriel’s vehicle.

He carefully slid beneath the vehicle and removed the brake wire while making sure no one saw him.

“I will see to it that you get home safely now,” he whispered, slipping out of the car and fleeing the scene.

After receiving the shocking news, Gabriel and Eveline hurried to see Dr. Lilith, who appeared to have left the college before they could get in contact with her.

“How is this even possible? You mentioned Lilith knew about Alex’s conditions, so why did not bring up his name?” Eveline yelled, irritated at Gabriel’s miscalculation.

Stefan was contacted by Gabriel right away to inquire about any potential foul play, which he denied right away.

Stefan had been keeping a close eye around the college, and he never saw any foul play.

“Damn!!!” Gabriel vented his annoyance by slamming his palm against the wall.

Eveline remained motionless on the hand, but she hurried over to him as soon as she noticed that his hand was bleeding.

“Gabriel, damn you! Who the hell does that kind of wall-punching?!” Glancing at the bleeding, Eveline yelled as she took his hand.

“Oh my god, it is bleeding,” she cried in terror, dragging him swiftly from the room and into the infirmary.

Despite Gabriel’s silence throughout, the darkness that pervaded his aura was unavoidable.

The idea made Eveline shudder as well.

She hurriedly entered, got him settled in the chair, and started looking for first aid supplies.

Gabriel’s heart, on the other hand, began to feel warm.

His anger somewhat subdued by Eveline’s concern, and his eyes soften when he sees her attractive but unhappy face.

“When did you start having problems with anger?” Eveline yanked cotton out of the box and helped him clean the wound.

“You were not this aggressive before,” she said.

As she helped him, she could not help but notice his serene face, which was devoid of any signs of discomfort.

Thankfully, nobody was in the vicinity, allowing her to chastise him until he acknowledged his error.

Gabriel paid no attention to what she said or how vehemently she spoke—he just listened. He wanted to enchant her because everything about her was inviting.

After Eveline finished bandaging, Gabriel grabbed her arm and forced her to fall onto his lap.

“How about you calm me with a kiss?” he said, wrapping his hand around her waist.

Eveline sat transfixed. Her eyes looked at him as if he had grown horns on his head.

Would you please stop being crazy? Eveline gawks and squirms free from his hold.

Despite her struggle, Gabriel stayed unfazed and held her in place, refusing to let go.

Eveline gave him a concerned look and resigned in defeat after failing in her attempts.

They were within the infirmary, and just because nobody was present does not imply that nobody would visit.

“Gabriel, let me go,” she pleaded.

“I want you to give me a kiss, and then you can leave.”

Eveline believed that giving this man a chance was a mistake. Because ever since she said yes, he had been behaving like a naive fool who was infatuated and insisted on kissing her.

Exasperated, Evline rolled her eyes and shoved him, saying, “No, you can not always demand a kiss, irrespective of where you were.” She declined the kiss immediately.

She was also stubborn if he was adamant.

Gabriel was unmoved by her remarks and allowed her to leave using her strength. When she grew weary, she would consent.

She said abruptly, “Gabriel, we need to find where Dr. Lilith is,” and his hands loosened right away.

She looked at him angrily and quickly jerked them away.

“We need to find her and know why she changed the results,” she said, soon making Gabriel understand the reality.

Gabriel’s eyes darkened at the memory of Dr. Lilith’s betrayal of the medical profession. How could a well-known physician like her deceive them?

“Do not worry; I will locate her. Simply keep out of this. I want to avoid making anyone suspicious of you, especially Alex,” he uttered.

Eveline exhaled in relief at last, but he kissed her right away.

Eveline gasped at the unexpected contact, but the kiss was only a quick kiss that lasted a few seconds.

With a sly smile, Gabriel took out his phone to call his driver, but when he answered, it was not him.

“I regret to notify you that your driver was involved in an accident and is being transported to the hospital.”

Gabriel’s eyes widened the instant the person on the other end revealed the details of the mishap.

Gabriel was left confused by the sudden revelation of the entire situation.

“Is he okay?” he worriedly enquired.

Gabriel talked with the person, inquiring about the necessary details, before ending the call.

Eveline, sensing the tension in Gabriel’s voice, hurried over to ask.

“What happened?”

“My driver got into an accident on the crossroads bridge,” he said, leaving Eveline uttered, stunned.
