Chapter 641: Azur’s alias.
“Damn girl! easy.” Maureen slowly pulled Rekha away from the white board before she could set it on break it all the way Phoebe had broken the table.

Even Ramiel raised his eyebrows. It looked like he had serious competition in his desire to be the one to end Azur’s existence.

They all forgot that there was a third competitor named Star who had been created for that very purpose. But it was safe to say that with all the anger in the room, Azur would not make it back to hell if they got their hands on him.

Not any hell he could escape from anyway.

Sinking into a nearby chair, Rufus let out a sound that was half a laugh and half a sob. “Are you serious? Are you sure that he is Azur because I know this man, many of us do. I suspected that perhaps he is one of the traitors that are working with demons but him being Azur is just unbelievable.” His voice trembled out the words.

Phoebe was curious to know who the man was because she did not know him. She guessed that aside from Rufus, nobody else in the room did.

“Who was he pretending to be? Please do not tell me that he had access to the academy.” Maureen lowered herself into a chair.

Moving his head from side to side, Rufus’ gaze lifted to stare at the picture. “His name is…was Pontius Christopher, he was so kind and humble, a weakling really. In fact, I should say pathetically weak that even if you stepped on him, he was the kind of person that would apologize to you. He was actually bullied by his co-workers a lot.

They practically turned him into their errand boy. Now that I think about it, they really had no idea that they were playing around with fire. Azur could have killed them all with a snap of the finger if he wanted to.” Rufus took his glasses off, rubbing his eyes.

“He could not do that for he needed to maintain his cover.” Maureen articulated her thoughts.

Phoebe lifted a hand desperately. “Cover where? We still do not know where he was working, Azur is not someone that does things aimlessly, there was a reason for his actions.” Her voice cut through the tension.

“At the Founding Council headquarters.” Rufus responded with composed air.

Phoebe’s heart sunk, she felt a kick in her stomach, one, two three and four which made her wince in pain. It seemed Star was as taken back as she was. “At the what now?” She choked out the words.

Puzzled, they all stared at Phoebe who seemed flustered, confusion crossing their eyes.

“At the Founding Council headquarters, he has worked there for as long as I can remember. Now that I think about it, he really aged slower than everyone else.” Rufus whispered. How did he not realize that the man looked the same as when he last saw him.

“Azur was working for the founding council!!” Rekha exclaimed loudly.

Rufus nodded, “He was the store manager, great at his job but very quiet and odd. He rarely associated with other unless it was to deliver supplies to their offices, something which was not part of his duties, but his co-workers bullied him into doing it.” Rufus answered, his voice tightening with creeping anxiety just like it was surging in all those that were listening.

“Oh God he knows.” Phoebe whispered, strength leaching from her limbs as she staggered backwards, luckily David who was walking in with Arrow caught her just in time.

His quizzical gaze traveled around the room. “What is wrong with her? Is it time?” David asked as he helped her sit in a chair, inspecting her body.

“I will get the car.” Arrow volunteered.

Maureen used her fan to smack David on top of his head and pull Arrow back using magic. “The gestation period is nine months you dummies.”

“Not for a supernatural baby, some are carried for twelve months, other three, some six.” Ramiel threw in, once he had everyone’s attention he continued to speak. “But the baby is not coming now, Phoebe here is just worried that Azur knows where Ravana has been locked up all this time.” He spelled it out plainly.

There were many frowns on the faces in the room. The one thing that was left out of every story on the supernatural war and Ravana was where the demon had been imprisoned.

Phoebes back stiffened. “Of course he knows. Why else would he be working there? It is because he was looking for a way to break her out. I don’t know how he found out but if I have to guess, Abraham Spellcaster had a hand in it. It seems like after being released from the magic prison Azur went straight to where Ravana was locked up.” She mumbled loudly.

“He is a clever one Azur; he blended in so easily.” Ramiel blew air out of his mouth, making the room colder.

“Can someone please explain to the rest of us. Where is Ravana locked up? And what do you mean by Azur found her or knows?” Maureen raised to her feet; her eyes remained in the angel. If anyone had answers other than Phoebe, it was him.

Ramiel raised a palm, commanding composure. “It is just like you have heard, beneath those buildings is the crypt or prison of the demon queen. The fact that Azur was there for years means that he is aware of this information. He probably tried to free her using his powers and failed. So, he started the search for the mystic keys, and it yielded no results.

Eventually he stumbled onto the sacrifice of the pure hearted one. This information was probably recent, knowing Azur, if he had known about the sacrifice long ago, he would not have bothered to search for the keys.” He elaborated slowly. “In a way, you are all lucky that he did not get the information in time.”

“To everything there is a time.” Rufus whispered.

Ramiel smiled. “You are quoting the holy book correctly. The information just happened to come at around the time when the parents of the grand guardian met. Not sooner, or later. Isn’t it great?”

Maureen, Rekha, Arrow, David, Rufus and Phoebe all glared at the angel. What was great about it? They were still facing a very dangerous situation. They did not know if they would survive, so what was great?

“This is terrible news but still there is some solace in the fact that he does not have the relics to go through with the sacrifice.” Rufus stated. “Our mission now is not to stop the war but rather to save that girl that he wants to sacrifice and banish him to hell.” He added.

Phoebe lunched up. “I must see this store that he was managing. Perhaps he was doing something there all these years.” She stormed out.
