The Ironback Centipede glanced warily at the frantic one-eyed, red-haired man. It suddenly felt relieved that this person hadn’t made a move earlier; otherwise, it might have already become jerky meat by now.

Quickly leaving the blacksmith’s shop, it saw Anastasia anxiously trying to break through the protective barrier.

“Lord Anastasia, the two people inside say they know you. Are they your friends? They weren’t lying, were they?”

Anastasia nodded repeatedly upon hearing this, although she didn’t know exactly what had happened inside. “Yes, that’s right. Victoria is my friend, and Master Ethan is an old friend of the Senate.”

According to the message from Ironback Centipede, what the muscular girl said earlier was true. There had indeed been a big misunderstanding.

The red-haired man had no idea what Velen had heard, but when it came to Velen’s orders, he couldn’t dare defy them and quickly left.

Once the terrifying presence of the red-haired man was gone, both Victoria and Ethan subconsciously let out a sigh of relief.

And wasn’t he working under Anastasia?

Victoria thought hard about the situation, and her expression grew even more strange.

“Anastasia, does that mean you have to call him ‘Senator’ now that you’ve seen him?”

Anastasia sighed and nodded. She was just as troubled by this situation as everyone else.
