Reincarnate as the Villainess's Husband - Chapter 51
Chapter 51: Decision
“Have you made your decision?” Neonidas asked softly as he approached.
“Yes… I agree to be a well-behaved concubine for you, but you must set my mother free… And… I want to raise my child on my own.”
Hearing Yuanna’s tired voice, Neonidas smiled faintly, standing directly behind her and starting to caress her shoulder. “A wise decision. After tonight, I’m sure you’ll realize that being with me might not be so bad.”
“You must free my mother first…” Yuanna said without turning around. It seemed as though she was afraid to even look at his face, but she knew she couldn’t escape her fate, and she understood that to suffer less, she had to accept it.
“I’ve already set your mother free. She’s probably crossed through the teleportation portal and reached her family’s home by now.”
“So, you already knew I would accept,” Yuanna’s voice trembled slightly. She seemed to be caught between anger and helplessness. “You’re a monster who controls everything…” she muttered, her voice almost sounding like a confession to herself.
Neonidas’s smile widened as his fingers slid down Yuanna’s shoulder. “A monster? Perhaps. But you shouldn’t forget that in this world, the strong set the rules. And I am the one who sets the rules.” His voice carried both a threat and a strange warmth.
Yuanna took a deep breath, her eyes filling with tears, though she didn’t cry. She could feel a part of her pride breaking. Yet there was a small comfort in knowing she had saved her mother. “No matter what you do, I won’t let you harm my child.”
Neonidas chuckled softly. “Harm him? Yuanna, your child will already carry my blood. I have no intention of harming him. On the contrary, I will raise him to be as strong as possible. Just as I will keep you by my side, strong and powerful.”
These words burned like a coal inside Yuanna. Every sentence from Neonidas was like a slap, reflecting her helplessness in her face. But resisting might push her into an even worse situation. “What do you want me to do tonight?” she asked finally, her voice almost a whisper.
Neonidas touched Yuanna’s hair, playing with the green curls that slipped through his fingers, and smiled again. “Tonight, I only want you to be mine. Over time, you’ll understand how natural and right it is to be with me.” Then, taking a step back, he continued calmly, “But first you can rest for a short while. It’s up to you to make me treat you like a queen, not a concubine.”
Yuanna lowered her head, biting her lips with a desperate surrender on her face. Yet, deep inside, her determination to protect herself from Neonidas grew stronger with every passing moment. ‘I must find a way… I must escape this man…’, she thought, silently staring into the darkness of the room, knowing deep down that this was an impossible dream. As she slowly walked towards the bed, a few tears fell from her eyes.
“Why…? As a duke, you could get whatever you want. You’re engaged to the most beautiful woman in the empire, so why me?”
Neonidas was silent for a few seconds when he heard Yuanna’s question. Slowly, he approached her and locked his gaze on hers in the dim light of the room. In his eyes, there were traces of both deep seriousness and a complex emotion. “Why you?” he repeated, his voice unusually softened. “Because you opposed me. Because, even though you were scared, you didn’t lose your will. While others bow down before me, I’ve always seen rebellion in your eyes.”
Yuanna furrowed her brows slightly. She tried to understand Neonidas’s response while also suppressing the fear and anger inside her. “That’s not a reason,” she said quietly. “I was just trying to protect myself and my mother. I didn’t do anything to affect you.”
Neonidas smiled faintly and moved closer to Yuanna’s face. “Maybe you don’t realize it. But it’s your stubborn spirit that fascinated me. Not just your beauty, but your courage. And to be honest, despite everything, the way you had to bow down to me… the taste of this victory is unparalleled.”
Actually, Neonidas’s words weren’t entirely true; he simply wanted Yuanna to feel special. Human psychology is incredibly complex, but there are certain gaps in it, things we could call voids. Right now, in the emotional gap Yuanna had fallen into, she felt a strange attraction to the words of the man she hated the most—words that were both degrading and flattering at the same time.
Yes, this might seem utterly illogical, but humans often act not with logic, but with feelings or emotions. The greatest and most powerful of these emotions and feelings is undoubtedly desire.
A single tear slipped from Yuanna’s eyes. “This victory, as you call it, ruins someone’s life, and that still makes you really proud?”
Neonidas paused for a moment, then took a deep breath. “Ruining a life? No. I’m giving you a new life, Yuanna. You’ll be stronger by my side. Your child, carrying my blood, will rise to the top of this world. We will both win. If I weren’t in your life, your father would have probably used you as a pawn to gain power. But in my case, I wanted you because I truly wanted you. I had no other goal.”
Yuanna froze for a moment when she heard Neonidas’ last words. Although she knew her father tried to use her, hearing it from Neonidas’s mouth pushed the hatred inside her to another level. Yet, at the same time, she couldn’t deny that there was some truth to it. Her father had always been a man willing to do anything for power and ambition. But Neonidas claiming that he “protected” her seemed disgustingly twisted.
“You wanted me?” Yuanna asked, her voice almost a whisper, but the bitterness in each word was clear. “Is this how you show love, Neonidas, by destroying someone’s life? How can you justify this?”
Neonidas didn’t answer right away. He took a few steps toward Yuanna, his gaze blank but filled with seriousness. “Life is not fair, Yuanna. It never has been,” he finally said, his voice low but firm. “I came here because I learned your father betrayed me, and I did what I had to do, but then… Then I met you,” Neonidas said, his voice carrying a strange softness. “And in that moment, I realized life doesn’t always go as planned. Your beauty, your courage, and the way you resisted me… These things changed me. I don’t want to destroy you or ruin you, Yuanna. I want you by my side. I want you to be mine and mine alone.”
Yuanna paused in shock at these words. She searched his eyes for sincerity, but all she found was complexity. The darkness within Neonidas overshadowed his words. Yuanna took a deep breath, trying to control the anger and helplessness inside her, and said, “Stop playing games with me,” her voice weak but steady. “You can have me, but you will never touch my heart.”
“I’m already in love with your body, not your heart. Now, get into bed.”
Yuanna flinched at these words from Neonidas. The words pierced her heart like a knife. Avoiding his gaze, she silently walked toward the bed. But her mind had become a battlefield. She was caught between her helplessness and Neonidas’s cruelty. She sat on the edge of the bed and clenched her hands tightly.
‘One day…’ she thought to herself. ‘One day, I’ll escape this. I’ll break free from this darkness. And then, even Neonidas will regret it.’
When Neonidas grabbed her delicate wrist and pulled her toward him, Yuanna let out a sharp scream. The white, full thighs hidden under her thin nightgown were exposed. Yuanna closed her eyes, stopped resisting, and surrendered completely. Her trembling body looked as if it would break at the slightest touch, but Neonidas knew exactly how to handle such a fragile woman.
Neonidas gently caressed Yuanna’s waist. No matter what she did, Yuanna would never forget the night when Neonidas had slaughtered her entire family. But now, the same man was treating her with such tenderness and love, as if he had become a completely different person.
“Mhm, no…”

Yuanna flinched when she felt Neonidas’s breath on her delicate neck, and her closed eyes involuntarily opened halfway. A strange sensation formed in her stomach and slowly began to spread throughout her body. As Neonidas slowly traced his tongue over her soft neck, he also inhaled her scent. Before Yuanna could even comprehend what was happening, Neonidas began to slowly remove her nightgown.
“N-No… Don’t look…”
Neonidas gently caressed one of her nipples with his tongue and stroked the other free breast with his hand. Yuanna tried to remain silent, but involuntary moans escaped her mouth, making her more embarrassed and even angry with herself, but at the same time increasing the heat in her body.
As Neonidas did his best to please her, Yuanna’s resistance was cut off. Now her only movement consisted of trembling from sudden pleasure.
