Chapter 182: Chapter 182- Demon Queen
“I’m not immature, I just act like it because I feel it’s fun for the moment,” Belial stated firmly, his eyes fixed on Malphas’s, looking intensely.
“Was that a voice recording?” Malphas, noticing the unfamiliar voice distinct from Belial’s usual tone, realized it was someone else’s recording, Since, there were just too many ‘m’ in the sentence for Belial to complete it in single breath.
Belial’s eyes widened briefly before relaxing, his grin breaking into laughter. “Kekeke.”
Malphas turned and moved forward for some time, eventually reaching a window.
His body leaned downward, defying gravity as he walked, entering the window from above, reminiscent of a bat hanging in flight.
“…Hey, didn’t you say your Baster wanted to beet be?” Belial stated with his eyes settled on the room inside the window filled with several books, not finding anyone inside of that oddly normal room.
“You expected me to meet you while seated on a throne?”
‘?!’
‘Borana,’ Hearing a voice, Belial turned towards the opposite side of the room where a woman sat while holding a book, appearing calm while serene eyes fixed on reading, having a small smile adorning her face.
In that dimly lit room, only rays of moonlight seemed to fall on her dark-toned body yet only accentuated her beautiful features.
Her face was a masterpiece of symmetry and grace, with high cheekbones and flawless skin that seemed to glow in the dim light.
Her lips, full and inviting, bore a natural rosy hue that held a touch of dew in that cold night.
But it was her eyes that truly mesmerized, a piercing shade of silver that sparkled with the same hued moonlight.
In conclusion, her eyes were the stars, her lips the galaxy’s edge—she was a lovely, broken universe all in herself.
SWISH
“Yes, sobewhat, but it’s also good to see sobeone studying in a while instead of killing,” Belial freed himself from the restriction before landing on the floor.
Creek Creek
“Oh, a wooden floor,” the sound produced after landing made Belial surprisingly turn towards Malphas who also landed beside him but very softly, without creating a sound.
“Yes, it was a gift from Dark Elves,” the woman’s soft voice reverted as her silver eyes slowly lifted before getting fixed on Belial’s, further continued, “which they provided as compensation for entering my land.”
‘…Pathetic robbers,’ Belial couldn’t help himself but feel saddened due to being surrounded by these cruel and barbarian people, who were devilish unlike his innocent self.
“fufu~ but isn’t this what makes it even more valuable?”
‘Oh, so it’s black wood,’ Belial, hearing words from Morana’s lips, glanced at the wooden floor which appeared black.
Initially, he took it as the property or paint of this wood, but now the problem wasn’t that both of them were talking about some random wood, but the issue was this wood was only present on the Elven Continent, and specially black wood was inside restricted zones of that continent where Dark Elves lived.
Bearing a completely different mindset from normal elves, it was impossible for them to just give compensation without getting enraged, making this all talk based on bloodshed instead of mere wood.
“So, why did you call be?” Belial, already noting the information just now, focused on the woman, directly getting to the point.
“….Who sent you here?” The woman finally closed her book before placing it on the table, her hands resting while her gaze remained fixed on Belial.
“By Baster,” Belial said as he approached the woman before taking a seat by jumping into the chair he pulled from the corner of the room and placed in front of the woman’s desk.
“And who might he be?” The woman inquired, leaning forward with her palm giving way for her chin to rest in them while her elbow took support of the desk, her eyes closed.
“Not he, she. By Baster is Drishti Devereaux,” Belial straightforwardly stated as he leaned forward to take a bite of the black apple placed on the desk—a natural fruit of Malevolia, infused with Demonic energy.
‘….’ Calmly supporting her body, the woman slightly gave narrow way for her silver pupils to glance at the devil who seemed busy while enjoying the fruit, a small smile forming on her face as she stated, “Your master is strong, isn’t he?”

“Yes, she is, and don’t tell be your tongue is broken too like bine,” Belial halted in his way while hiding a half apple in his hand, turning his eyes towards the woman before continuing, “Calling she as he.”
“Oh my, am I? Maybe a slip of the tongue,” the woman retreated her chin from her palm, feigning surprise before placing her folded hands on her chest, yet the moonlight still did its job well by not hiding the small mole present on her cleavage.
“And here I thought the Debon Queen was on the sbarter side, tch,” Belial shook his head in disappointment, folding his hands while trying to provoke her.
“Then isn’t it your brain that is at fault for assuming things without confirming them?” The woman wasn’t the one to retreat either, making Belial look back at her for a moment before standing.
“I will take by leave then,” Belial said as he tried to move from that place, already having accomplished whatever he wanted here.
“Belial, wasn’t that your name?” The woman inquired as she pulled a drawer from the desk, before her hand rested on something inside.
“Yes, and?” Belial, without completely turning back, only tilted his head to glance at the woman with a raised eyebrow.
“Ah, nothing, it’s just you don’t appear wicked, deceitful, and morally corrupt,” the woman referred to the Encyclopedia placed inside the Malevolia’s library, referring Belial to the meaning of his name, while her hand grabbed something inside the drawer.
“….Neither do you appear to be cold or harsh,” Belial also replied with the reference to the meaning of Morana’s name while observing her hand taking out a red box from her desk.
…..
“My Queen, what are your further orders?” Malphas inquired, looking towards the disappearing figure of Belial, his eyes narrowed while thinking something before turning towards the woman beside him.
“Did you notice that?” Woman said with her folded hands, while one held a red box, her eyes seemed to hold amusement.
“Yes, he was lying. Drishti Devereaux isn’t his master,” Malphas calmly stated as he softly bowed, before offering his hand towards her to receive the box, already aware of her intentions.
“Hmm, tell the troops to only send less than a hundred and keep the weakest ones,” Woman commanded as she gave the box to Malphas who received it, before she further ordered while her gaze softened, “Return this box to its original owner, it’s the least I could do.”
“I understand. Is there anything else, My Queen?” Malphas again inquired, finding himself in need to ask further yet met with only silence.
SWISH
“Then I will order the Army.” Malphas’s body turned into thin air before disappearing.
‘….’ Woman turned her gaze towards outside the window, her eyes looking towards the vast land expanse which was under her rule, yet penetrating this all, her gaze observed the ring-like structure surrounding her whole land expanse.
Clearly, it meant that she was being kept in check.
A glint passed through her silver eyes as she softly stated while turning towards her room’s wall, “So, where were we?”
CRIEEEK!
CRUMBLE!
As the walls grinded upward with a grating noise, the room’s hidden depths were gradually exposed, revealing a space cloaked in shadows.
“A..g..H…h..e..lp—”
With a composed demeanor, the woman moved toward the source of a faint, guttural groan that seemed to claw its way out from the hidden chamber.
RUMBLE!
With a final, ominous rumble, the walls reached their halfway point, allowing the moonlight to filter in, casting eerie beams that danced across the figure within.
In the beginning, the light revealed strands of flesh, almost like a spider’s web, desperately clinging to the walls and floor, blending with the darkness.
But as the moon rose higher, it uncovered the real horror in the room.
There lay a figure, contorted and twisted beyond recognition, hidden beneath layers of swollen, pulsating flesh, resembling a monstrous tumor oozing with pus.
“A….h…”
Every movement stirred the mass, as if it were alive, silently writhing in agony under the moonlight.
The woman looked towards that half-dead object, creature, or whatever one calls it, but it wasn’t human for sure. Remembering their last time conversation, she added,”So, Kermit, if I understand correctly, Ryuk Devereaux used a black liquid on you when he was just five years old?”
