Chapter 65: Chapter 65- Devereaux Family
Blue Star was home to several species and races, each holding advantages and disadvantages over the others while reigning over their respective lands known as Continents.
There were no restrictions for outsiders to enter the area of another Continent except for few, but travel between them was not very frequent due to the enormous distances between them.
This led to only huge ships belonging to stronger continents being able to travel long distances, or individuals with 〖ZENITH〗 Rank or above who held enough energy to cover such distances, even though they lost a significant amount of energy in the process.
A major part of Blue Star was under the control of a few races, among which humans were the third strongest, possessing different bloodlines that enabled them to stand toe-to-toe with other races like Dragons, Vampires, Dariants, etc.
Among all the human continents, Ardoros Continent reigned at the peak of its strength, supported by four pillars and enriched by a rich history.
Though Ardoros remained calm most of the time, two years ago, several beings of peak energy left the Continent bearing the marks of the Devereaux Bloodline.
It was the beginning of the old legacy followed by the Devereaux Family.
Several flagbearers, having met at least three criteria, left the Continent to engage in a life-and-death trial to claim the position which had remained unchanged for thirty years.
Previous flag bearers agreed to withdraw after one of the three attempted to leave the battle entirely.
It was a history-shaking event; half of Ardoros believed that among these three sisters, either the elder or the middle one had the strength to become the next head of the Devereaux family.
Indeed, other prominent families also closely monitored the heir battle and even manipulated it, as it was common to ally with one candidate to help eliminate the others using their resources.
Several Flagbearer even signed contracts with the other three powerful families to collaborate in eliminating other Devereaux members, since there were no rules prohibiting this.
After all, the main goal of leaving Ardoros was to kill their own bloodline without dirtying their own hands.
Deep within the Devereaux family’s territory, a vast land mass spanning more than a thousand miles, filled with various branch families, all resided on Ardoros.
Each branch family occupied a large territory, each with its advantages over the others.
The largest library of books in all of Ardoros and the largest automated training facility focusing on gravity manipulation were just some of the sights to behold.
The Devereaux bloodline allowed its bearers to grow; even within the branch families, their growth rate was tremendous, depending on the purity of their bloodline.
To support this growth, the Devereaux members had collected all the books carrying knowledge, from the outside world.
With their ability to learn and grow faster, acquiring knowledge about technology from different races was not difficult.
The Devereaux family’s domain was not just traditional in appearance; it was a hub of Ether reactors, battleship construction, mechanical engineering, and the world’s most advanced training grounds.
This land held much more than what met the eye.
Most Devereaux members had amber eyes, a sign of bloodline purity, with the most vivid amber eyes indicating direct descent, a trait that proved its worth in every heir battle.
At the center of this expanse stood a colossal architecture, a huge Palace colored black and filled with amber crystals shimmering in Gaia’s rays.
Surrounding it, dozens of cloud-piercing spires stretched over a mile, enhancing the grandeur of this architectural masterpiece.
A colossal building in the middle, with spires wide as a normal mansion, provided accommodation for flagbearers, reaching towards the sky with huge orange crystals on top and sharp lines adorned with runic designs covering the entire building.
From above, it appeared to be a fancy design meant to showcase the valor of the direct family, but it was much more.
Each crystal on top of the spires converted vast amounts of Gaia’s rays into Ether for creating reactors for battleships, weapons, and more.
Every piece of architecture was proof of the technology hidden behind the facade of mere sight, using both mastery of architecture and application of technology.
The whole Devereaux family domain shimmered with amber roads, radiating the pure energy transmitted from core crystals embedded on Flagbearer’s spires.
Crystal-like lines extended into several territories, serving as medium for energy transmission from the Main Family to its Branches.

The energy provided was sufficient for each Branch Family to meet the power needs of their battleships.
Due to their bloodline restrictions, Devereaux members were forced to trust each other.
No one could directly kill another, and until someone left Ardoros, the probability of betrayal fallen to nearly zero.
The Seterix law prohibited the Other Four Families from entering Devereaux territory— same for every other family.
Without any outside influence, this vast expanse was populated solely by members of the same bloodline.
Thus, the Direct Family acted as the heart of this place, overseeing permissions for leaving the continent, energy requirements, and even the sharing of technology.
There were no laws for crimes since none had ever occurred in this colossal part of the Ardoros Continent.
Every Branch Family owned at least ten Battleships, each capable of threatening small continents, showcasing the formidable strength of these branch families.
Among one of the Spires¹ piercing through the clouds and shimmering in Gaia’s rays, footsteps echoed in empty hallways.

“What will we refer to him?” inquired one of the women with whitish hair and light amber-hued eyes as she moved down a long hallway beside her twin.
“Technically, he is our Master, just like Mother Malika. So, we should call him Father,” replied her twin, a mirror image of Maya, carrying some clothes in her hands as they continued toward a staircase leading downward.
Krieeek
They arrived outside a large door and pushed it open to be greeted by a huge glass container.
Inside, a figure floated in a bluish liquid, wearing nothing.
Maya calmly observed the figure inside the container.
“Is that thing a parasite?” The figure’s silhouette was barely visible through the color and density of the solution, but her eyes detected something unusual.
The other Maya narrowed her eyes to observe the parasite her sister mentioned before responding in a calm tone, “No, according to the Kamasutra, that meat junk hanging between his legs is for reproduction.”
“…I see,” Maya nodded, their cold expression complemented by a small buzzing sound in the room filled with machines adorned with several runic inscriptions, enhancing the surrounding.
“But was the reference picture incorrect?” Maya pondered, recalling the book she had read, yet finding the actual sight before her not matching with the size mentioned in book.
“Should I bring a measuring tool?” Hearing her twin’s suggestion, Maya’s eyes slightly widened before relaxing, understanding that she still had much to learn.
“Give me those clothes and bring the measuring tape. I’ll wait for you here,” Maya instructed, turning to observe the slight movements in the fingers of the individual inside the container as her sister left to fetch the measuring tool.
Crackle
Suddenly, a sound reverberated throughout the space. The liquid in the container started to roil, boiling with bubbles forming before it drained away at a rapid pace, as if being absorbed by the individual standing within it.
