- Chapter 101 - Chapter 101 The Terror of Abyssal Warden
Chapter 101: The Terror of Abyssal Warden Chapter 101: The Terror of Abyssal Warden Abyssal Warden stood before us, a towering figure of darkness and malice.
His ethereal form shifted like a living shadow, and his piercing blue eyes glowed with an eerie light.
He radiated an overwhelming sense of dread, making even the most courageous among us hesitate.
The battlefield was already littered with fallen students-many from Class A and B had succumbed to the relentless mental assault of the Warden.
Their minds were shattered, their bodies trembling, and their spirits completely broken.
Some lay unconscious, their faces contorted in horror, while others screamed in agony, trapped in the endless torment of their worst nightmares.
The professors quickly intervened, gathering the wounded and preparing to transport them to the Holy Church of the Central Kingdom, where the Saint could heal even the most severe mental afflictions.
I took a deep breath, pushing down the rising fury inside me.
I turned to the professors.
“Take them and go.
Save as many as you can.” They nodded and hurriedly carried the fallen away.
Julius and Termina, both class leaders of the affected students, clenched their fists in anger.
Their eyes burned with determination.
This was personal for them now.
Marius, our tank, took the lead.
He slammed his shield into the ground, activating [Iron Will], boosting his mental resistance, and then let out a deafening [Warcry], forcing Abyssal Warden’s attention onto him.
His presence became an unshakable wall, a beacon of resilience amidst the chaos.
The Warden paused, then lunged at Marius with terrifying speed.
Marius activated [Unyielding Fortress], a skill that temporarily converted damage received into HP for 8 seconds.
He stood his ground, absorbing the dark assault while the rest of us prepared for a counterattack.
I, Julius, Luna, Leopold, Termina, along with the teams that followed us trying to attack this monster.
But the Abyssal Warden was too fast.
With a flicker of shadow, he disappeared, using [Dark Teleportation] to evade our coordinated strikes.
He reappeared behind us, his form warping unnaturally, and unleashed his signature abilities which hit all of us in this room.
Abyssal Warden’s Skills: [Abyssal Chains] €“ Shadowy chains shot out from his body, wrapping around multiple targets, including Julius and Luna.
Their movements slowed by 50%, and their attacks became sluggish.
[Nightmare Manifestation] €“ A pulse of abyssal energy spread across the battlefield.
Those caught in its radius were dragged into an illusion, forced to confront their worst fears for 7 agonizing seconds.
Anyone who failed to resist would fall into a deep confusion, making them easy prey.
Screams echoed across the battlefield.

We were all hit by his mental attack.
Lyra, with her remaining consciousness raised her staff, summoning [High Support Magic: Sanctuary], a magic field that dulled the effects of mental attacks.
But the Warden’s power was relentless.
Even Amelia, our holy magic user, struggled to keep up.
She countered the illusions with [Holy Sunlight], purging the darkness wherever she could, but Abyssal Warden kept spamming [Nightmare Manifestation].
The constant drain on her mana was overwhelming.
Finally, she collapsed to her knees, panting heavily.
Her mana was completely drained.
And then, before my very eyes-Amelia fell victim to [Nightmare Manifestation].
I saw the terror in her eyes as she clutched her head, her body shaking violently.
Then it hit me too.
…
I found myself in an abyss of shadows, cold and suffocating.
The battlefield was gone.
Instead, I stood amidst corpses.
My friends….Lyra, her body lifeless, her staff shattered.
Amelia, her eyes dull and empty, reaching out for help that would never come.
Julius, Luna, Marius, and Termina, lying in pools of blood, unmoving.
Everyone was dead.
I staggered back, my breathing ragged.
My hands trembled as I reached forward, but no matter how much I tried to call out to them, they would not respond.
Then, a voice whispered in my ear.
“You let them die.” “It’s your fault.” The weight of despair crushed me.
My vision blurred.
The illusion was pulling me deeper into its grip.
No.
This isn’t real.
I clenched my fists, “This is nothing!
I have already defeated Norx, The Demon Warlord Rank 5th, who has mental magic that is more deadly than this!” A pulse of Dark Magic surged through my veins.
I let it consume me, wrapping myself in its power, using it against itself.
My magic absorbed the lingering nightmare energy, suppressing its influence over me.
The illusions flickered, the abyssal whispers grew distant.
I saw Amelia lying on the cold dungeon floor, her face twisted in pain.
She was strong-her natural resistance to Dark Magic and mental attacks was among the highest in our group.
But even someone as powerful as her had a limit.
If she kept enduring [Nightmare Manifestation] over and over, her defenses would eventually crumble.
I didn’t hesitate.
I ran.
A desperate sprint across the battlefield, weaving between the lingering remnants of dark energy still pulsing through the air.
My lungs burned, but I didn’t slow down.
Dropping to my knees beside her, I gathered her fragile body into my arms, pressing my hand against her damp forehead.
Her breathing was shallow, her body shivering uncontrollably.
No.
No, no, no.
She wasn’t going to die here.
I wouldn’t let her.
With trembling hands, I yanked a Mana Potion from my pouch, my fingers fumbling with the glass bottle’s cap.
I gritted my teeth, desperately trying to uncork it, but my body was still recovering from the mental strain of Nightmare Manifestation.
My hands were shaking too hard-I could barely hold the potion steady, let alone tilt it toward Amelia’s lips.
“Damn it…!” A surge of frustration burned through me.
Amelia needed this now-every second wasted was another moment closer to losing her.
But no matter how hard I tried, my fingers wouldn’t obey me.
And then- Envi took over.
A forceful shift in control.
My body moved, but it wasn’t my doing anymore.
Without warning, Envi grabbed the Mana Potion from my hands-and drank it himself.
But he didn’t swallow.
He leaned forward….and kissed Amelia.
A shock rippled through my entire being.
The moment their lips met, I felt a shudder run down my spine.
A strange, foreign warmth spread through my chest, colliding with the remnants of my lingering adrenaline.
Amelia’s eyes snapped open-widening in pure shock.
Her exhausted body stiffened for a fraction of a second.
But instead of pushing him away, she… relaxed.
The pain etched into her delicate features melted away, replaced by something softer.
A quiet gasp escaped her, her shaking arms instinctively moving to wrap around Envi’s body.
And then….She kissed him back.
Her pained expression melted into one of pleasure, and her arms instinctively wrapped around Envi’s body.
The scene was so bizarre that I immediately snapped in my mind.
“WHAT THE HELL, ENVI?!” I roared internally.
“THIS IS THE ONLY WAY, YOU IDIOT, SO JUST SHUT UP AND WATCH!” Envi shot back, completely unbothered.
“WATCH YOU KISS AMELIA IN FRONT OF OUR HALF-DEAD ALLIES?!
WHAT KIND OF PERVERTED SYSTEM ARE YOU?!” But Envi ignored me completely.
Amelia’s mana reserves were replenishing rapidly, and she slowly regained her senses.
Her breathing steadied, and her expression turned from exhaustion to something much more dangerous-desire.
She blinked, her cheeks flushed red, as she touched her lips.
“I…
I want more…” she whispered breathlessly.
My mind nearly exploded.
“ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW, AMELIA?!” “Tch.
You can have more later,” Envi skillfully dodging Amelia’s attempt to pull him in for another kiss.
“For now, focus on neutralizing that damn mini-boss before it casts Nightmare Manifestation again!” Amelia pouted but quickly recovered her composure.
She turned toward the Abyssal Warden, her emerald eyes glowing with divine energy.
Her voice rang out like a celestial command.
“Take this, you cursed monster!
[Divine Magic: Holy Sunlight, Full Burst]!!” A massive pillar of golden light erupted from Amelia’s staff, illuminating the entire dungeon floor.
The pure, sacred energy erased all traces of [Nightmare Manifestation] for ten seconds, while the Warden itself howled in agony, its astral body writhing as the holy power seared its form.
Envi smirked.
“Now’s our chance.” With a burst of speed, he activated [Kasoseki], propelling himself forward like a black shadow.
At the same time, his katana hummed with lethal energy as he activated [Power of Incarnation], channeling every ounce of power into his blade.
I could feel it-the immense power welling up inside us.
“Envi…
Are you planning to use THAT skill?” I asked in shock.
“Damn right I am, Nao.
If we’re gonna take this bastard down for good, we need to go all out!” As Envi closed in for the kill, two figures suddenly reappeared at his side.
Julius and Termina had recovered from the mental assault.
Their expressions were twisted with rage, their eyes burning with revenge.
“DIE, YOU DAMNED MONSTER!” Julius roared as he unleashed his skill.
[Starlight Swordsmanship: Fifth Form-Nova Breaker] His blade slashed through the air, releasing a blinding supernova of pure light that exploded against Abyssal Warden, searing through its ethereal body.
“For the fallen students of Class B!
Take this!
[Stormheim Archery: Third Form-Lightning Spiral]” Termina fired an arrow crackling with high-voltage electricity.
The spinning projectile ripped through the air, slamming into the Abyssal Warden’s chest, sending waves of divine lightning coursing through its form.
The Warden shrieked, its form beginning to dissolve.
But Envi wasn’t done yet.
Seeing the perfect opening, he pushed his speed to the absolute limit.
His body vanished into a blur, his katana flashing with white-hot intensity.
His voice thundered across the battlefield.
“This bastard dared to show me illusions of my friends dying-Lyra, Amelia, all of them!
I WON’T FORGIVE YOU!” “TAKE THIS!
[Blackmore Katana Style: Yami Kiri no Seikatsu]” A single horizontal slash with flash of pure white light.
The atmosfer fell silent.
For a moment, Abyssal Warden remained frozen in place-its body perfectly divided into two halves.
Then, with a final, earsplitting howl, it disintegrated into pure light, vanishing completely.
The battle was over.
A deep silence filled the air.
Then, slowly-cheers erupted from our exhausted but victorious party.
