Chapter 102: Stay or Leave?
Chapter 102: Stay or Leave?
After winning against the Abyssal Warden, Envi still held control of my body.
Suddenly a notification appeared in front of Envi: [Congratulations, You Leveled Up!] Status: —- Name: Naoki von Blackmore Level: 71 Title: Hero Candidate of the Blackmore Family Trait: Shadow Conquers, Demon Slayer.

Goddess Points: 145 —- I commanded Envi to allocate my status points into AGI (Agility).
From now on, I would be focusing on AGI and STR (Strength) to enhance my physical prowess and aura control.
My magic was already covered, thanks to the Grimoire of Darkness that I had obtained.
However, an unexpected notification popped up-[Eclipse Eyes] had leveled up to 2.
This skill had become even sharper, allowing me to perceive aura with greater clarity and extend my vision even further.
Just as I was taking in this new development, I suddenly heard Envi chuckle mischievously in the back of my mind.
“…What are you up to?” Before I could react, [Eclipse Eyes] activated on its own!
Through my enhanced vision, my gaze drifted towards the female members of the party.
“Wait-No!
I won’t allow this!” I shouted, immediately fighting to regain control of my own body.
But Envi was persistent.
He stubbornly resisted, eyes still locked onto the unsuspecting girls.
Then, out of nowhere, Amelia stepped in front of us.
Envi froze.
A moment of silence.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
Then- BAM!
A sudden nosebleed.
A second later, my vision blurred, and my body collapsed to the ground.
Envi had fainted on the spot.
Just like that, I automatically regained control.
I groaned in frustration and scolded him in my mind, “You damn perverted system!
You never learn, do you?
How many times do I have to tell you to stop pulling this crap?!” Envi groaned weakly, “Ugh… I didn’t expect this… That was more mentally damaging than Abyssal Warden’s magic…” I raised an eyebrow.
“What the hell do you mean by that?” His voice was barely a whisper.
“It was… micro bra and G-string…” And with that final remark, he completely blacked out inside my consciousness.
… …A system can faint?
…What the hell did he see?!
“Naoki, are you okay?” I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up to see Amelia standing over me, concern in her eyes.
I swallowed hard.
[Eclipse Eyes] was still active.
Meaning… I was seeing exactly what Envi saw.
Beneath her armor, Amelia was… wearing nothing but a micro bra and a G-string.
It was less like a warrior heading into battle and more like a bride preparing for her honeymoon.
I immediately deactivated [Eclipse Eyes] and sat in stunned silence.
After a few awkward seconds, I hesitantly asked, “Uhm… Amelia… aren’t you cold?” She blinked in confusion.
“Hmm?
Not at all.
My armor keeps me warm.” Then she tilted her head with a sly smile.
“Why?
Do you want to warm me up, Naoki?” I immediately looked away.
“Forget I said anything!” …
After recovering from that incident, I turned my gaze towards my party members-Amelia, Lyra, Marius, and Luna.
Nearby, Julius’ team-Termina and Leopold-stood alongside the other remaining students from Class 3-C and 3-B.
A wave of exhaustion washed over me, but I smiled and raised my voice.
“The mini-boss of the 40th floor-Abyssal Warden-has been defeated!” Cheers erupted from the group.
Their exhaustion was momentarily replaced by overwhelming joy and relief.
This victory wasn’t just about defeating a monster-it was proof that we had surpassed the threshold for graduation from the Braveheart Knight Academy’s final exam.
After the celebrations settled, I took a deep breath and addressed everyone.
“Listen up!
My team and Julius’ team will be continuing onward, venturing deeper into the dungeon until we defeat the final boss.” I let my gaze sweep across the gathered students.
“For the rest of you-this is your choice.
You can take this opportunity to leave with the professors and safely graduate, or… you can follow us until the very end.” Silence fell.
Expressions of hesitation appeared on many faces.
Some whispered among their teams, carefully considering their decision.
To be honest, I wanted them to stop here.
The deeper we went, the greater the danger.
I didn’t want any unnecessary casualties.
But at the same time, I couldn’t deny the fire I saw in their eyes.
They still wanted to fight.
Julius and Termina stepped up beside me.
“Some of the Class 3-A teams have chosen to stop here,” Julius said quietly.
“They suffered heavy losses on this floor and need immediate medical attention at the church.” Termina sighed.
“The same goes for Class 3-B teams.
They don’t want to risk going further, and I don’t blame them.
I won’t force them just because I’m their class leader.” I nodded.
“That’s fine.
They’ve already proven themselves.” Then-Luna stepped forward, accompanied by two teams from Class 3-C.
“Naoki… these two teams want to continue the dungeon conquest with us,” Luna said with determination.
The two groups behind her stood tall, eyes filled with conviction.
The first team was led by Hendrik, a skilled swordsman, alongside Falken (Archer) and Linda (Assassin).
The second team was led by Erin, a magician, accompanied by Greg (Tank) and Val (Swordsman).
They were our classmates from 3-C.
The same people who had mocked and ridiculed me when I first entered the academy.
But now-their expressions were different.
They were smiling.
They looked happy to see me.
“Why…?” I muttered, barely able to find the words.
Hendrik smirked.
“Why are we following you?
Because we want to become stronger, just like you, Naoki.” Erin nodded.
“You used to be nothing but a loser… a troublemaker from Class 3-C.
But you changed.
You became stronger, braver, and a leader worth following.” Her eyes burned with ambition.
“We want to be like you, too.” I was… stunned.
I never expected them to look at me this way.
I exhaled and finally smiled.
Julius and Termina also chuckled.
“Looks like Class 3-C isn’t as weak as we thought,” Julius muttered, clearly impressed.
Luna-our class representative-grinned.
And for the first time, her usual blank expression softened into a genuine smile.
I looked at her and spoke with determination.
“We’ll get through this, Luna.
I’ll protect them all.” She shook her head.
“Not just you, Naoki.
We’ll protect each other.
So stop carrying all the burden alone, okay?” I stared at her for a moment… before chuckling.
“You’re right.” …
After some time, the teams from Class 3-A, 3-B, and several from Class 3-C decided to stop their expedition here.
They activated their teleportation stones, vanishing one by one as they returned directly to the Central Church for medical treatment.
Alongside them, the professors also departed, carrying the severely injured students with them.
I watched their departure with a gentle smile.
I had to stay strong-for them, for everyone.
If I showed even a hint of hesitation, they might worry about us instead of focusing on their own safety.
Once they were gone, we gathered ourselves and prepared to move forward.
…
Just as we were about to descend to the 41st floor, Lyra suddenly stepped closer, her voice trembling with concern.
“Naoki-sama…” she murmured, eyes filled with worry.
She hesitated before finally voicing her thoughts.
“I’m worried about Freya… Is she okay?
The mini-boss on this floor alone was tough, but Freya… she’s deeper inside, with Cain and Kael.
It must be even harder for them…” Her voice cracked slightly, and I could see tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
I gently patted her head, offering what little comfort I could.
“Lyra… believe in Freya,” I said firmly.
“She’s strong.
And besides, she’s with Cain, the battle-crazed hero, and Kael, that bald-headed beast.
If they weren’t held back on this floor, that means they tore through the mini-boss without much trouble.” Lyra sniffled, wiping away her tears.
Then she nodded, her usual determination returning.
“You’re right, Naoki-sama.
Freya is strong… I know she’s okay.
I just… I really want to see her again.” I smiled.
“I do too, Lyra.” I gently took her hand in mine.
“So let’s keep moving forward.
The faster we clear this dungeon, the sooner we’ll see Freya again.” With renewed resolve, we stepped forward, continuing our conquest of the dungeon.
…
From the 41st to the 49th floor, we encountered no new monsters.
Instead, we fought stronger versions of the creatures we had already faced on floors 1 through 39.
Though their levels were higher, we had already mastered our battle techniques.
Using the same strategies, we steadily pushed forward, defeating each foe with ease.
Now we are on 49th floor.
Yet, something felt off.
A strange uneasiness crept into my thoughts.
It wasn’t the battles-it was the dungeon itself.
And then, we noticed it.
The puzzles.
Each floor usually had a puzzle mechanism that needed to be solved in order to proceed.
But now… They were already destroyed.
Not only that, but they hadn’t reset.
The doors to the next floors were already wide open.
A deep, foreboding sense of dread filled my chest.
And then- RUMBLE-!!
The entire dungeon shook violently.
A deafening roar echoed through the halls as the ground trembled beneath us, like a massive earthquake had struck.
“-Wha!?” Cracks formed on the walls, and dust rained from the ceiling.
Panic spread instantly as everyone screamed in shock.
I gritted my teeth, trying to steady myself.
“What the hell is happening?!” I reached out through our mental link, calling out to Envi.
“Envi!
Wake up!
Check the dungeon’s status!” Still groggy from his earlier incident, Envi groaned but quickly assessed the situation.
Then, his voice shouted in alarm.
“Naoki, this is bad!!” My stomach dropped.
“The entire dungeon’s structure is shifting!
Something’s forcefully altering its layout!
And-” Envi’s voice suddenly turned grim.
“The entrance to the 40th -48th floor has been collapsed and sealed off by a powerful barrier!
The professors can’t re-enter the dungeon anymore!” My worst fears had just been confirmed.
Something-or someone-was manipulating this dungeon.
I clenched my fists.
“Is this… the work of the demon infiltrators Arsene warned me about?” If so-then Cain, Kael, and Freya are in serious danger.
We need to move.
Now.
“Everyone, hurry!
We have to get to the next floor before it’s too late!” With urgency burning in my veins, I led my team forward, deeper into the unknown abyss.
