- Chapter 110 - Chapter 110 Valg the Time-Cursed Emperor
Chapter 110: Valg the Time-Cursed Emperor Chapter 110: Valg the Time-Cursed Emperor Amelia’s POV: I have now taken on the role of leader, a position left to me by Naoki.
He entrusted me with the responsibility of commanding Lyra, Freya, Marius, Leopold, Luna, and Hendrik’s team.
We had all agreed on this plan-only Naoki could take on Volx in a one-on-one battle.
That left me with no choice but to lead this group in defeating Valg, the dungeon boss.
I recalled Naoki’s words, his unwavering confidence in me.
He believed I could defeat Valg because of my Divine Magic, the natural weakness of Cursed-type monsters.
Every time I remembered his words, I couldn’t help but smile.
But deep down, a question lingered in my heart-had I truly become strong?
Was I worthy of fighting by his side?
Just thinking about it made my heart race.
Naoki was always in my thoughts, whether I was happy or annoyed.
No matter what, he was the best.
But before I could get lost in those feelings, the imposing presence of Valg yanked me back to reality.
A towering statue-like creature with six ominous wings stretched behind it, as if a once-holy sage had been petrified and cursed.
Its crimson eyes glowed menacingly, a sign that it was under the control of the demon, Vorx.
I had already devised a strategy-not only to defeat Valg but also to free it from Vorx’s control.
This plan would also resolve the ridiculous bet between Naoki and Cain over Freya.
If I defeated the dungeon boss myself, neither of them would win, and Freya would be free to return to us.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded if Naoki had been the one to take down Valg, claim victory over Cain, and “win” Freya.
Knowing him, he was a complete pervert, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up with a harem of wives in the future.
But right now, I was the only one who could defeat Valg.
I was going to give it my all!
I wanted Naoki to praise me, to reward me with something special-hehe~.
For now, I needed to focus on this damn dungeon boss!
Then, I could return to my beloved Naoki~.
-I divided the team into three roles.
The Main Attackers were me, Freya, and Luna.
The Second Attackers consisted of Leopold and Hendrik’s team.
Lastly, the Supporters, Marius and Lyra, would provide essential assistance.
Our strategy was straightforward.

The Main Attackers would engage Valg head-on.
The Second Attackers would target any openings and disrupt the boss’s balance.
Meanwhile, the Supporters would strengthen our attacks, defend us, and create opportunities for counterattacks.
After Naoki separated Vorx from Valg, the dungeon boss immediately turned its aggression toward us.
It unleashed [Curse of Swamp], a spell that slowed our movements drastically.
Then, with its colossal foot-large enough to crush an entire clock tower-it attempted to stomp us into oblivion.
Lyra quickly responded, casting [Support Magic: Area Barrier], surrounding the team in a protective shield.
Without wasting a moment, she followed up with [Support Magic: Haste], restoring our speed to normal.
With Valg’s ability neutralized, it was our turn to strike!
Freya lunged first, her blade igniting as she unleashed [Flamemore Swordsmanship: Flare Strike], a fiery slash that tore through the air.
Leopold immediately followed, executing [Flamemore Swordsmanship: Blazing Tempest], summoning a raging inferno that engulfed the battlefield.
Their combined attacks struck Valg, forcing it to stagger backward.
That was our chance!
Hendrik and his team rushed in, unleashing a relentless barrage of strikes against Valg’s left leg.
At the same time, Luna dashed forward, her sword shimmering with radiant light as she performed [Solarblade Swordsmanship: Sunlight Strike], slicing cleanly through the monster’s ankle.
The sheer force of her attack caused Valg to buckle, dropping to one knee.
This was it!
Our plan was working!
Now was the perfect moment to land a decisive blow.
I gathered Divine Magic into both my arms, shaping it into a pair of gauntlets that shimmered with holy energy.
With all my strength, I leaped toward Valg’s face, my fists glowing brilliantly.
“[Divine Magic: Holy Strike!]” My uppercut connected with Valg’s chin, sending a shockwave through the battlefield.
The sheer force of my attack launched the towering monster backward.
Cracks spread across its once-intimidating face, the cursed stone weakening under the impact of my divine-infused punch.
This was it!
We had the advantage!
Without wasting a second, the team pushed forward to continue the assault.
But before we could land another hit, Valg suddenly spread its massive wings and used them to lift itself back up.
Its crimson eyes flickered ominously as it unleashed a new skill- “[Cursed of Fragile]” A dark aura pulsed outward, washing over us like an invisible tide.
I immediately felt its effects-our physical and magical defenses plummeted, and even our mental resilience took a hit.
A heavy pressure settled over me, making my limbs feel sluggish and my thoughts clouded.
Everyone else staggered as well, gasping as the curse drained our energy.
Before we could react- BAM!
A deafening impact shook the battlefield.
Valg’s enormous fist came crashing down on Hendrik, his team, and Luna, who had been positioned near its legs.
They were sent flying like ragdolls, slamming hard against the dungeon’s stone walls.
Dust and debris exploded from the impact.
My breath caught in my throat.
“Hendrik!
Luna!
Everyone!” I screamed, my voice filled with panic.
For a moment, I feared the worst.
Had they been crushed?
Were they even still alive?
But then-against all odds-they were still moving.
No major injuries, no broken bones.
It was a miracle.
That was when I noticed Marius.
Blood dripped from his mouth, his armor cracked and barely holding together.
He was the one who had taken the damage instead.
Realization struck me.
“Marius… did you…?” He had activated “[Tank Skill: Damage Absorb]” just before impact, redirecting all of Valg’s attack onto himself.
He had single-handedly shielded Hendrik’s team and Luna, sparing them from what should have been a fatal blow.
“Lyra, heal him!
Now!” I ordered, urgency lacing my voice.
Lyra wasted no time, casting a powerful healing spell on Marius.
At the same time, I spread my arms and summoned divine light.
“[Divine Magic: Purifying Area]” A large glowing magic circle formed beneath us, radiating warmth and cleansing energy.
The curse surrounding us dissipated instantly, restoring our weakened bodies and minds to normal.
With the cursed effects nullified, we were back in the fight.
I exchanged glances with Freya and Leopold.
No words were needed-we all understood what had to be done.
Without hesitation, Freya dashed forward, her fiery blade blazing with intensity.
Leopold followed right behind her.
Valg, now aware of their movements, raised its massive arm to strike.
But before it could- “[Flamemore Swordsmanship: Crimson Eruption!]” Flames erupted from the ground, engulfing Valg in a roaring inferno.
The searing heat wrapped around its body, causing it to flail in an attempt to extinguish the flames.
This was my chance!
I thrust my hands forward and activated my next spell.
“[Divine Magic: Holy Binding!]” Golden chains materialized in the air, wrapping tightly around Valg’s limbs and wings.
With a powerful pull, I forced the monster downward, slamming it into the ground with a thunderous crash.
Now for the finishing blow!
I clenched my fists and poured everything I had into my next attack.
“[High Divine Magic: Heaven Breaker!]” I lunged forward, my fist glowing with divine radiance.
This was a devastating holy-infused punch, one that shattered dark energy and curses upon impact.
Against a Cursed-type monster like Valg, the damage would be tripled!
My fist connected.
A blinding explosion of holy energy burst forth, obliterating the cracks on Valg’s face.
The monster let out a final, guttural cry before its massive body collapsed, crashing to the ground with a resounding tremor.
We did it.
We finally- But then- “[Cursed of Eternal Stagnation.]” A dark magic circle formed beneath Valg, pulsating with an eerie glow.
Suddenly, everything went black.
– When I opened my eyes, a strange sense of déjà vu washed over me.
I was standing in the exact same spot as before.
The air still carried the lingering heat of our previous attacks, but something was off.
Valg’s face-unbroken.
The cracks from my devastating punch were gone, as if they had never existed.
The battle… had reset.
And then- BAM!
A sickeningly familiar sound echoed through the dungeon.
My head snapped toward the source, my heart sinking.
Marius, once again, bore the full brunt of Valg’s colossal fist.
His armor cracked just as before, his body staggering backward under the sheer force of the blow.
Blood dripped from his mouth, his face twisted in pain.
No… It was happening again.
I clenched my fists, my breathing uneven.
This was the exact same moment.
The same attack.
The same scene playing out before me.
This wasn’t just an illusion.
This was real.
And then it hit me.
A chilling, dreadful realization clawed its way into my mind.
“[Cursed of Eternal Stagnation]” wasn’t just an ordinary spell.
It was a nightmare given form-a time curse.
It had reset everything within its area to exactly one minute ago.
Our damage to Valg… gone.
Our progress… erased.
The battle we had fought so hard to turn in our favor had been undone in an instant.
Panic spread through my team like wildfire.
“Did… did we just… go back in time?” Leopold muttered, his voice barely more than a whisper.
His wide, disbelieving eyes darted between Valg and Marius.
“No way… That can’t be…” Freya’s hands trembled as she tightened her grip on her sword.
Her usual fire was dimming, doubt creeping into her gaze.
I could see it in everyone-the slow realization, the fear, the despair sinking in.
All our efforts, all our strength, all our strategy- Meaningless.
We had been so close.
So close to victory.
So close to finally ending this fight.
And yet- We were back to square one.
