- Chapter 125 - Chapter 125 Awakening the Dark Shogun
Chapter 125: Awakening the Dark Shogun Chapter 125: Awakening the Dark Shogun Envi’s POV: “What the hell is this?!
You think you can just toy with Nao and kill him over and over again with that damn [Annihilation Loop]?!
Nao is mine to mess with-not yours!” I roared, my voice dripping with rage.
No matter how much I looked at it, Nao had done nothing wrong.
He was just some random kid from Earth, thrown into this world to replace that failure of a hero, Naoki.
Yet fate had been nothing but cruel to him.
Battle after battle, he kept getting crushed-his body shattered, his mind pushed to the brink of insanity, and worst of all, his very soul was breaking apart.
And yet… he never surrendered.
Even when [Power of Incarnation] wasn’t active, even when he was trapped in that endless loop of suffering, he still clung to hope.
He never let go.
I wanted to fight in his place.
I wanted to rip Vaelgorath apart with my own hands.
But I couldn’t.
Nao’s soul was breaking.
[Annihilation Loop] kept dragging him through endless cycles of torment, and all I could do was scream his name, powerless to stop it.
Then… in the 84th loop, something changed.
Nao’s eyes regained their light.
As if he remembered something.
And suddenly- [Power of Incarnation-Activated!] A surge of energy filled me.
The next thing I knew, I had taken over his body.
“Rest for a while, Nao.
I’ll hold him off.” I had full control now.
Nao said he would find a way to win.
I believed in him.
Now, it was my turn to show off.
The power of [Power of Incarnation] surged through me, and then- Kagegiri evolved.
A notification appeared: — [Kagegiri Ascending to Second Stage!] [New Skill Unlocked-Yami no ShÅgun!] A samurai’s black armor began forming over my body, forged from pure, condensed Dark Magic.
I could feel it-raw power surging through me.
VIT, STR, and AGI increased by 50%.Dark Magic damage doubled.
— The transformation was complete.

My new armor pulsed with ominous energy, the shadows coiling around me like a living entity.
I clenched my fist, testing my newfound strength.
A wicked grin spread across my face.
“Hahaha… This is amazing!” I laughed, my voice echoing through the battlefield.
“Get ready, you ugly bastard!
Don’t blame me when I slaughter you just as many times as you killed Nao!” I flashed Vaelgorath a predatory smirk, eyes gleaming with murderous intent.
He scoffed.
“Huh?
What nonsense are you spewing?
You talk as if I killed another version of you… Have you finally gone mad?!
Hahahaha!” I let out an even louder, more deranged laugh.
“HAHAHA!
Yes, I AM MAD!
The one you fought before was my good side!
But now… you’re facing my sadistic side.
I am NOT the same!” A dark aura erupted from my body.
My silver-white hair grew longer, flowing wildly.
My katana, Kagegiri, pulsed with even greater dark energy, exuding an aura of absolute terror.
Vaelgorath’s cocky grin faltered.
I activated [Shadow Steps], disappearing into the darkness.
I moved so fast that Vaelgorath struggled to track me, his head snapping in all directions.
Before he could react- [Dark Magic: Phantom Slash 10X]- Ten unpredictable slashes tore through him.
He barely managed to block some of them, but I was already moving again.
[Inazuma]- I struck with a lightning-fast iai slash.
His arm was severed.
“UGH!
W-What the hell is this power?!” Vaelgorath clutched his bleeding stump, eyes wide with pain and disbelief.
I smirked.
“Go ahead.
Heal yourself.” I taunted him.
I wanted him to feel everything Nao felt.
The helplessness.
The pain of [Annihilation Loop].
“You’ll regret this, human!
[Time Reverse]!” His body rewound, restoring him to perfect condition.
I expected that.
The moment he finished regenerating- [Inazuma 10X] + [Kasoseki 2X]- I unleashed a relentless chain of attacks, my katana flashing with deadly precision.
Vaelgorath had no chance to defend.
In an instant- I cleaved him in half.
He activated [Time Reverse] again- I sliced off his head.
He used [Time Reverse].
I cut his body into pieces.
He used [Time Reverse].
Again and again, the battle fell into a relentless cycle.
I struck him down-he reversed time.
I sliced through his limbs-he healed instantly.
At first, it seemed like an endless stalemate.
But then… I saw it.
Vaelgorath-the so-called Lord of Time-was beginning to struggle.
His breaths became ragged, his movements just a little less fluid.
The arrogance in his eyes was still there, but now, buried beneath it, I could see something else-a flicker of panic.
Until finally, he let out a sharp, frustrated growl.
“This is impossible…!” Blood dripped down his body, even as he constantly rewound time to heal his wounds.
His hands trembled, his teeth clenched.
“I am the ruler of time!” His voice cracked slightly.
“How is it that I cannot manipulate your time?!
How is it that I keep receiving your attacks without being able to stop them?!” His eyes darted toward Kagegiri, the katana in my hands that was now radiating a suffocating aura of darkness.
His expression hardened.
“Kagegiri… That damn sword… It granted you this power, didn’t it?!” I grinned, tightening my grip.
“That’s right.” For a moment, he was silent.
Then, unexpectedly, he chuckled.
“Hah… So Canis left behind something this troublesome for me…” I didn’t care about whatever he had just realized.
I only cared about one thing-killing him.
I lunged at him again, but this time, he retaliated differently.
He activated [Annihilation Loop], the cursed ability that had tortured Nao over and over again, breaking his mind, shattering his soul.
But unlike Nao, I was not caught in the loop.
I was too fast.
Before the skill could take effect, I had already struck him again.
“You’re too slow, you bastard.” I smirked.
His eyes twitched.
His confidence was wavering.
But I knew-I had to end this now.
I activated [Shogun’s Dominion].
At that moment, the world itself changed.
A deep, suffocating darkness spread across the battlefield, swallowing the surroundings.
The ground beneath us melted into a sea of black flames, crackling and shifting like the fires of the underworld.
This was no ordinary domain.
This was my domain.
Within this space: All of my Dark Magic was amplified by 300%.All enemy magic was weakened drastically.Visibility was near zero-except for me.
Here, in this realm of absolute night, I was the executioner.
I didn’t hesitate.
I launched at him, slashing relentlessly, every strike carving deep wounds into his flesh.
His once-pristine form was now drenched in blood, his body covered in brutal lacerations.
Yet… Something was wrong.
Even after suffering such fatal wounds, he was still standing.
Then I saw it-his form flickered, and I realized… He had stopped time.
A sickening, triumphant laugh echoed through the darkness.
“HAHAHAHA!
YOU THINK YOU’VE WON, YOU FOOL?!” Vaelgorath’s voice boomed.
“I AM THE LORD OF TIME!
YOU CAN NEVER DEFEAT ME!” In an instant, he shattered the constraints of my spell.
His entire body glowed with a strange, warped energy-he was accelerating his own time, moving at unimaginable speeds.
Suddenly, he was matching my speed.
His movements became a blur.
His attacks, which had once been sloppy and predictable, were now precise and overwhelming.
The battle had reset into an all-out clash.
Blade met blade.
Magic clashed against magic.
The battlefield trembled under our power.
Then-a voice rang in my mind.
“Envi!
Look closely!
There’s a small crack in his chest!
That might be his weakness!” It was Nao.
“If you can stab Kagegiri into that spot, I’ll use [Power of Incarnation] to enter his body and find his true weakness!” I clenched my teeth.
“That’s too dangerous, Nao!
If you go in there, you might not come back!” “Trust me, Envi.” His voice was steady.
Confident.
I hesitated… but only for a moment.
“Fine.
Don’t you dare die on me.” I charged forward with everything I had.
Vaelgorath roared, trying to counter, but I was faster.
I drove Kagegiri straight into the crack in his chest-piercing through his core.
A pulse of energy erupted from the wound.
Then-Nao activated [Power of Incarnation].
A blinding flash swallowed the battlefield-and suddenly, he was gone.
Nao had entered Vaelgorath’s inner realm.
…
Nao’s POV: The world around me was nothing but darkness.
I stood in a vast, empty space-an endless abyss that stretched infinitely in every direction.
And in the distance… I saw her.
A figure curled up in the shadows, it’s a girl.
She was trembling, her arms wrapped around himself.
Her shoulders shook with silent sobs.
Slowly, I walked toward her.
“…Vorx?” I called out.
The girl flinched, but didn’t look up.
I took another step forward.
“Why are you crying?” For a moment, there was no response.
Then, in a small, broken voice, she whispered, “Because…
I don’t want to fight anymore.” I stared at her.
This was…
the real Vorx.
Her body was used to awaken Vaelgorath’s true form.
Not a monster.
Not a god.
Just a lost demon soul.
I knelt beside her.
“Tell me your story.” And so, she did.
She spoke of her past.
How she and her brother, Zorx, were born into the world of demons.
How they had been taken by the Overlords-forced into battle, trained to be ruthless.
How they had no choice but to become murderers.
How, in time, they lost themselves… until all that remained was war and bloodshed.
Until they forgot who they once were.
I listened to every word.
Then, quietly, I reached out my hand.
“Help me end this.” …
