Chapter 195: The Day I Fought Outer God and Met an Angel
Envi’s POV:
There was no mistake.
The foul aura—this twisted, wretched magic—was unmistakably the same as what I had felt when facing Canis… when I stood against Vaelgorath… and when I passed through that cursed dimensional gate into this world.
This could only be the work of that being.
The Outer God.
The source of every anomaly infecting this world. The enemy of gods and mortals alike. The root of corruption.
“You… damn harbinger of misery!” I shouted, pure fury fueling my fist as I drove it into the face of the possessed man before me, sending him crashing to the floor with a sickening thud.
But in an instant, the voice of the Outer God leapt from that body… to another. This time, a woman lunged from behind, shrieking with inhuman rage.
“Misfortune?” she hissed, gripping my throat. “I am misfortune. I am despair. I am the calamity itself.”
I growled and slammed her down with a brutal counter, but it didn’t end there.
Again and again, the Outer God hopped from body to body, spreading like a plague through the crowd. Its laughter echoed with venom.
“Fall, Child of Fate,” the voices whispered in unison. “Struggle all you want, bleed all you wish… in the end, you will break.”
I fought them. All of them.Fists against flesh, fury against evil. Man or woman, it didn’t matter—they came at me like dolls, resurrected with unnatural strength, and I beat them down again and again.
But it was pointless. They kept getting up.
The rage swelled inside me.
“WHY?! Why do you do this?! Why do you make innocent people suffer?!”
“Such a naïve question,” the Outer God laughed through bloodied lips. “Because it amuses me. Because I can. And because I want to watch this world burn!”
Its laughter echoed like thunder—cold, unfeeling, otherworldly. And with it, the people it controlled grew more vicious, more deranged.
“You shouldn’t even be here!” I roared. “Your power should still be sealed!”
“Ahhh,” the voice purred, “blame the hatred festering in mankind’s hearts. It is the finest feast for me… and your pitiful Goddess’s strength? It’s waning. So, I decided to come out and… play.”
“How dare you call the Goddess of Benevolence like that!!” I screamed, summoning my dark magic and striking the possessed bodies down, one by one, until they lay unconscious.
“Good, Child of Fate. Let your rage rise! Let your fury consume you! Or… shall I make it worse?”
With a twisted grin, the Outer God made its move.
Suddenly, the fourteen bodies it had possessed sprang to life and without warning—they ran and leapt off the rooftop.
“What?! No!!” My heart stopped.
I didn’t expect this level of cruelty.
“COWARD!!”
Without hesitation, I sprinted and threw myself after them.
I couldn’t let them die—not only would it be a tragedy, but it would implicate Nana and Senior Kai. I couldn’t allow that.
Emotion flooded my body.

I had no choice.
I activated it—[Forbidden Dark Magic: Abyssal Wrath Mode]
My hair turned white. Dark magic surged through me like a poison, wrapping around my limbs, tearing at my flesh. But I endured it.
I was the bearer of the trait: [Heir of the Darkness]
That curse couldn’t break me anymore.
I extended my arms and released a massive field of dark energy that engulfed all of them mid-fall.
Then—
[Secret Dark Magic: Eternal Nightfall]
The skies around us shattered like glass.
In an instant, I dragged them all into my realm— a ruined kingdom beneath an endless moonlit night, wrapped in shadow and silence.
Within this dimension, my magic slowed them. Their limbs became heavy, their movements sluggish. The Outer God could not fully control them here.
And yet, its voice returned.
“You’re just as stubborn as that damned goddess…”
“Shut up!”
I clenched my fists, trembling. But I couldn’t lose control. Not here. Not now.
I needed to free them. There had to be a way.
Then—
a memory surfaced. A power not born of wrath, but of hope. The gift of the Goddess herself.
[Power of Incarnation]
A divine force that shines even in the deepest darkness.
I closed my eyes and prayed.
Not to be saved… But to strike back.
“Oh Goddess of Benevolence… lend me your strength. Allow me to shatter the evil before me.”
The prayer was answered.
[Power of Incarnation: Activated]
My fist began to glow—blinding and pure—shining through the darkness of this abyss.
With a cry of war, I launched myself at the possessed.
BAM!
The light pierced them. Their bodies convulsed and went limp. One by one…
they fell, unconscious. This time, they did not rise again.
Only one remained—the first one I’d struck. He grinned, defiant to the end.
“Tch… if only my power were fully awakened… I’d have killed you… destroyed this world… and reclaimed my true—”
SMASH!
Before he could even finish, my glowing fist shattered into his gut like a divine meteor.
I unleashed everything—my rage, my hope, my sorrow—into that single blow.
The light exploded from within him, rupturing the magic that bound him. My fist soared past the limits of my realm and into the heavens above.
A scream followed.
A cosmic, rage-filled wail from the Outer God himself.
I had hurt him.
Maybe not fatally… but enough to make him retreat.
At least, for now… Earth was safe.
…
I bound the 14 unconscious bodies with my magic and deactivated [Eternal Nightfall], returning to the real world—onto the rooftop once more.
The rain had ceased.
The moon now hung high and full, casting silver light upon the wet concrete.
I let the people lie where they were—soaked, cold, and weak. But they were alive.
“Let this be a lesson,” I whispered, sending my words directly into their subconscious with dark magic. “Jealousy and hatred will only make you prey. Be better. Or next time… I won’t hold back.”
They burst into tears, screaming, begging for forgiveness.
I gave a small, bitter smile.
Then I turned and leapt down, using [Shadow Steps] to vanish into the dark.
Waiting below was that same girl—still by Nana and Senior Kai’s side.
Still caring for them. Still keeping her word.
And for the first time in what felt like hours… I let myself breathe.
The woman ended the call, her eyes lifting slowly—realizing I had returned.
“You are back! suddenly everything went back to normal..and i able to call an ambulance. They will be here in five minutes,” she said, relief threading through her voice.
I exhaled in gratitude. Thank the gods…
She turned to me with concern shadowing her gaze. “What about the ones who hurt these two people??”
I shrugged with deliberate calm. “Oh… don’t worry. They’ve been thoroughly educated. They won’t be causing trouble again. But in the end, it’s up to these two—the injured—to decide if they want to report them to the police.”
She nodded in agreement. “That’s true…”
I looked down at Nana and Kai. Both unconscious, but alive. Their chests rising. Their hearts still beating.
A gentle smile touched my lips.
They’re safe… Thank the heavens. If I had arrived even a moment too late… Nao would’ve been shattered beyond repair.
A rising commotion broke the silence—sirens, rushing wind, city lights reflecting off the clouds. The ambulance was near.
I turned to her again. “Can I ask something? Will you take care of them… see them safely to the hospital?”
She looked at me and smiled warmly. “Of course. I was heading to that same hospital anyway, so I’ll go with them.”
I blinked. “Really? That’s… thank you. I owe you.”
She raised an eyebrow. “You owe me? You saved them. It was my request—you just answered it. So really, I should be the one thanking you.”
Then, a subtle shift in her tone—cautious, concerned. “By the way… about your earlier promise—what can I do to help you now?”
I gave a sheepish laugh. “Oh, that? Turns out… my problem’s been solved. Haha. So I guess I’m done here.”
The truth was, my mission had always been about Nana and Kai. Nothing more. And now that they were safe—and someone trustworthy was by their side—my time in this form was nearly up. The magic anchoring me to this world was beginning to fade. I had to return to Cosmoria… to Nao.
But before I left, I had one last request.
“If they wake up… tell them this for me: They’re going to be okay. They don’t have to carry this pain anymore. Just keep moving forward…”
She chuckled softly at that. “You sound like an old uncle giving life advice… But alright, I’ll tell them.”
Her laughter was warm, and for a brief second, I felt the weight of the world lift.
The ambulance arrived. I stayed by her side, helping as the medics carefully placed Nana and Kai on stretchers. Just as they were about to leave, she turned to me again.
“Um… really, thank you—for fulfilling my request. I’m sorry but… may I know your name?”
Caught off guard, I hesitated, then smiled. “It’s… Hiro. Nice to meet you, um…”
She stepped closer, and for the first time, I saw her face fully in the moonlight. She was… breathtaking. So much like Serena… My heart skipped a beat.
“Fujimaki Arisa. I’m Arisa. Nice to meet you too, Hiro-san.”
She smiled that gentle, radiant smile. “Until we meet again, Hiro-san. I hope fate brings us together once more.”
I nodded, a soft grin tugging at my lips. “Yeah, see you around…”
Fujimaki Arisa… Arisa-chan, huh? So she’s the one Nao loved when he still lived on Earth. I finally met her. Nao… when I tell you this, I know you’ll be overjoyed.
“Damn it, Nao…she is like an angel! your taste in women is incredible.”
And with that… we parted ways.
Then, a glowing notification flickered before me:
—
[MAIN QUEST – TRIAL OF HERO: FINAL PHASE]
-Save your sister, Nana (Completed!)
-Aid the gods in defeating the Unique Monsters Kraytheon and Gor’mundr in Cosmoria. (In Progress)
[Opening portal to return to your original body…]
…
I walked toward a quiet alley, away from the chaos, away from prying eyes.
My mission here is done. Now it’s your turn, Nao. Defeat those cursed monsters before I return to you.
If he succeeds, we’ll complete this trial and return to Aetheria. Then together… we’ll help our comrades. We’ll stop the demons. We’ll save Amelia.
Wait for us, Amelia. We’re coming.
I smirked, heart steady with belief.
“Haha… Nao can do this. I know he can. Because I’m his partner.”
The portal opened, swirling with light and darkness. I stepped through.
My body began to unravel—magic returning to its true form—as my consciousness prepared to merge with Nao’s again in Cosmoria.
Within the portal, I envisioned the Goddess of Benevolence. Her power was waning… but even weakened, she had guided me.
Are you alright…? My heart reached out to her.
When we finish this trial… I swear, we’ll ease your burden.
Wait for us… just a little longer.
And with that, I vanished into the light—returning to where I was needed most.
