Chapter 205: All-Out Attack!
Nao’s POV:
The air around me was thick with tension, reeking of blood and the oppressive aura of the Overlords. Every step I took felt like walking through a storm of pure malice. But I didn’t falter—not when lives depended on me. Not when my father had fallen to protect us all.
I clenched my fists and activated my traits with fierce resolve.
[Trait: Heir of the Darkness — Active!]Effect: Increases STR and AGI by 50% when in darkness.
[Trait: Phantom Executioner — Active!]Effect: Deals 50% more damage against demons and dark-element monsters.
As the darkness around the battlefield thickened, I felt it rush into my veins, empowering me with unnatural force. My muscles tightened, my stance steadied. I could feel my strength and speed nearly doubling in an instant. I wasn’t the same warrior I had been mere minutes ago.
I followed it up immediately with a surge of arcane power.
[Skill: Dark Integration — Armor of the Dark Hero: Active!]Effect: Extends duration of [Dark Shogun] and amplifies STR/AGI significantly.
My armor pulsed with dark energy, black lightning rippling across its surface as the runes etched into the plating began to glow. The shadows bent to my will now.
Finally, I activated one of the most crucial skills in my arsenal.
[Skill: Eclipse Foresight — Active!]Effect: Grants the user real-time perception of movement, attack trajectories, and even emotional fluctuations of enemies.
Time itself seemed to slow. I could now see their subtle movements—every twitch of their muscles, every flicker of rage in their aura, every faint shift in mana. My senses were on fire.
These buffs were more than just enhancements—they were the edge I needed to fight two Demon Overlords at once.
The blessings I had already been granted—the Blessing of Darkness and Blessing of Thunder—synchronized with my current abilities, creating a harmony of shadow and storm within me. My mana flared uncontrollably, coating my body in dark lightning.
Even though my body screamed from the exhaustion of two brutal battles before this, I refused to yield.
Not now. Not when it mattered most.
That’s when I heard her voice—calm, gentle, but concerned.
“Nao… you’re exhausted. Let me take over. Please,” Envi, the spirit of my system, spoke into my mind with sincere worry.
I closed my eyes for a brief second and smiled.
“It’s okay, Envi. This is my fight. I made you a promise—to protect everyone. I will see it through.”
There was silence. Then her voice returned, steady and trusting.
“…Alright. I believe in you.”
I charged forward without hesitation. My speed tore through the battlefield like thunder cracking the sky. Within seconds, I was in front of the two Overlords—Nosef, the blood mage, and Lucius, the corrupted Saint of Solis.
I slashed first.
[Skill: Blackmore Katana Style — Inazuma!]
The iai slash was a blur of light and darkness. My blade roared through the air and sliced off Nosef’s arm in a clean, brutal cut.
“AAAAARGHH!” he screamed, stumbling back in pain.
I didn’t stop. I pressed forward with relentless aggression, but he launched a wave of explosive blood magic to push me back, regaining distance.
Lucius joined the fray without a word. He dashed in with a blur of golden light—his holy blade clashing against mine in rapid succession.
Despite being a demon now, he still wielded the Sword of the Saint, a weapon of the Starlight Hero family. Its brilliance had now been corrupted with Dark Magic—a paradox in itself.

“You’re a demon wielding light. You twist the very nature of this world,” I said coldly between strikes.
He only sneered in reply.”I do what I must—for POWER!”
Lucius’s strikes came fast and sharp, but I parried and redirected each one using [Yanagi Uke], my counter-parry stance.
Then Nosef shouted angrily behind him, blood pouring from his wounds.
“Lucius! Stop stealing my prey! I’ll use 80% of my power—this old man’s brat dies here!”
The air trembled as Nosef unleashed a massive amount of blood magic into the surroundings, summoning grotesque weapons and shadowy beasts from pools of corrupted crimson.
But I kept calm.
I switched targets, and with [Shadow Steps], I vanished—only to reappear right in front of Nosef again.
“You’re going to use 80%? Why not go 100%? Don’t tell me… you can’t?” I said with a smirk.
His eyes widened in fury. I had hit a nerve.
Lucius immediately appeared behind me, using Shadow Steps as well.
“Nosef! Stop wasting time. We finish this now, together.”
Hearing that, I began to understand something important—they weren’t choosing to hold back.
They couldn’t use their full strength. Their strength hadn’t fully recovered since they had just been awakened from their seal.
That was our opening.
“Envi,” I said mentally, “They’re vulnerable.”
“Yes! This is our chance, Nao!”
With that, I launched into a flurry of attacks, splitting my attention and blades between the two Demon Overlords. The battle became a maelstrom of black lightning, shattered ground, and blood magic erupting like geysers.
Lucius tried to pierce my heart with his corrupted saint blade. I sidestepped at the last second, spun around, and slashed upward, cutting into his chest.
Nosef roared and hurled a massive spear of blood at me. I caught it mid-air with my katana and shattered it, sending a shockwave back toward him.
The battlefield shook under our power, but I refused to fall.
The fight had truly begun.
2 vs 1.
…
Lucius and Nosef came at me with their blades, moving in perfect sync—one a master of corrupted light, the other a tyrant of blood. Their deadly coordination could have overwhelmed any ordinary warrior.
But I was no ordinary warrior.
[Skill: Eclipse Foresight — Active!]Effect: Perceive movement, attack patterns, and emotional intent.
My vision sharpened. Every twitch of their muscles, every shift in their stances, every ounce of bloodlust in their auras—I could see it all.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Their blades met mine again and again, but I deflected each strike with precision, reading their intent like an open book.
“Is that all you’ve got?” I taunted, parrying a heavy blow from Lucius.
“Arrogant brat!” Nosef growled, retreating a few steps.
Then he raised his hands and roared:
[Blood Magic: Blood Spear Rain!]
Hundreds of crimson spears rained down from the sky, aiming to impale me from every direction.
“Tch.”
I blurred through the storm of blood using my enhanced speed and agility, each step deliberate, each breath measured. I evaded them all.
“Now it’s my turn!”
[Tensho Kousen!]
I unleashed a wave of compressed aura infused with Dark Magic. The blast tore through the battlefield, aimed directly at Nosef.
He snarled and conjured a Blood Shield, blocking most of the damage—but not all of it. The shockwave sent him stumbling back.
Lucius didn’t waste a second.
[Starlight Swordmanship: Radiant Strike!]
His blade lit up like a miniature sun, and he slashed down with divine fury.
I raised my hand and channeled a counter.
[Resonance — Active!]
As his holy energy collided with me, my body flared with pain, but I absorbed the magic with sheer willpower.
“You think your light can blind me? I’ll show you what I’ve become!”
I deactivated Blessing of the Thunder and activated Blessing of the Light for a while. It gave a clash inside me filled with Dark Magic.
But in a short time I was able to absorb light magic and return it better.
The absorbed energy surged into my blade, transforming into a blinding counterattack.
[Resonance: Hakuryuu no Issen / Flash of the White Dragon!]
A roaring dragon-shaped slash, radiant yet twisted by darkness, burst forth and engulfed them both.
BOOM!
The explosion ripped across the field.
Lucius barely managed to shield himself, his affinity with light granting him protection.
But Nosef? He was thrown like a ragdoll, crashing into the ground with a guttural cry.
Smoke curled from his broken form—he wasn’t moving.
I stepped toward Lucius, gripping my blade tighter.
“I remember now…” I said coldly. “You were the one during the Blackmore Trial. The one who stood beside me… then stabbed me in the back.”
Lucius let out a cruel laugh, his eyes gleaming with twisted joy.
“So you finally figured it out? Yes. I did it. I made it look like an accident, but I was the one who tried to kill you that day.”
“Why?” I asked, though a dark suspicion already brewed inside me.
His smirk widened. “Because I saw it… a vision from beyond. You—Naoki von Blackmore—would become the Child of Fate. A threat to the Demonkind. I couldn’t let that future come to pass.”
“A vision…?” I muttered. “Let me guess… from the Outer God?”
Lucius’s silence confirmed it.
“Coward,” I spat. “You betrayed your people, your brother, and me—because of a whisper in your head.”
“You still don’t get it, do you?” he sneered. “I checked your corpse. You were dead. How the hell are you alive now? Who—what—are you?”
“You don’t get to ask that,” I snapped. “You’re not my friend. You’re just a damn demon! Call me whatever you want—but know this: I’m the one who’ll bring Doomspire to ruin.”
“Then prove it!” he roared.
[Starlight Swordmanship: Nova Breaker!]
His blade exploded with celestial light, carving through the battlefield like a supernova.
I gritted my teeth and blocked it.
“I’ve seen that move before…” I said, panting. “Julius taught it to me.”
Lucius’s face twitched.
“Julius…” I continued. “He looked broken the last time I saw him. Do you even know what you’ve done to him? He idolized you. You were his brother. And now? You’re just a shadow of what you used to be.”
Lucius’s expression darkened. “I don’t need family. I don’t need love or friendship. All I need… is a strong vessel. And Lucius had the strongest one.”
He raised his blade, now glowing with both light and darkness.
[Light and Dark Swordmanship: Twilight Severance!]
A dual-element slash came at me, fast and brutal. It pierced my defense and slashed across my abdomen. Blood splattered.
He then wanted to use the skill again in succession, releasing projectiles of light and darkness. But I swiftly used a magic defense item: Ward of the Worldski, which i got after defeating Kray’mundr.
I managed to block his attack. He looked a little surprised by that.
I staggered, but I didn’t fall.
“You’re not the only one who can evolve!”
[Blackmore Katana Style: Inazuma Full Burst— Dark Magic Version]
I launched forward with more power, and my blade coated in shadow lightning. We clashed, and this time I carved into his arm. He grunted and leaped back.
Suddenly—BOOM!
Nosef returned, blood seeping from his wounds, eyes blazing with rage.
“You little bastard… I will use 90% of my power to kill you!”
His body expanded, muscle bulging unnaturally. He towered over us, a monstrous version of himself now clad in living blood armor.
Envi’s voice screamed in my mind.
“Nao! He’s transforming into his higher form. We can’t let this happen!”
“I know!” I yelled, energy crackling around me. “Then it’s time to end this!”
[Skill: Power of Incarnation — Active!]
[High Dark Magic: Nightmare Tempest — Hundred Shadows!]
Shadows burst forth from me, hundreds of them, attacking from every angle. The Overlords flailed, barely defending against the barrage of illusory clones.
“You coward!” Nosef shouted. “You hide behind tricks! Just a bit more and I’ll destroy you—AND EVERYONE ELSE HERE!”
I vanished into the mist.
[Shadow Steps!]
I reappeared right behind him, blade raised.
“You talk too much,” I said coldly. “Try saying that again—if you survive this.”
[High Dark Magic: Akumetsu — Demon Annihilation!]
I poured everything I had into that final strike. Dark energy erupted from my blade, cleaving through the battlefield in a colossal arc. It tore through barriers, shadows, even space itself.
Nosef screamed, raising layered blood shields to block me—but they shattered like glass.
My blade split him clean in half.
The energy wave surged forward, swallowing Lucius and hit the seal of Mount Archanis, but it didn’t break it.
For a moment, the world was silent.
