- Chapter 89 - Chapter 89 A Chaotic Celebration Party
Chapter 89: A Chaotic Celebration Party Chapter 89: A Chaotic Celebration Party The Blackmore mansion was in an uproar, especially in the kitchen, where I had planned to cook for a victory feast to celebrate our conquest of the dungeon we had just cleared.
I carefully arranged the cooking utensils on the countertop, my mind drifting back to the recipes and cooking techniques I had learned back on Earth as a Japanese man.
After some deliberation, I made my decision.
I had already sent Mark and Nyssa to buy the ingredients we needed.
My personal maids-Elan, Vivin, and Mia-were quick to voice their disapproval.
“It’s inappropriate for the eldest son and heir of the Blackmore family, not to mention the future hero of the Braveheart Kingdom, to cook with his own hands,” Elan said sternly.
“Especially if it’s for your friends and the maids, Master Naoki,” Vivin added, folding her arms.
I let out a small sigh and explained my reasoning.
“I’m not doing this as the heir of the Blackmore family, nor as the future hero of Braveheart.
I’m doing this as Naoki, just another human being like all of you.
I want to show my gratitude for the help you gave me in conquering the dungeon and defeating its boss, Garmr-a battle where we risked our lives together.” “But Master Naoki-” Mia started, but I raised my hand to stop her.
“Please, let me do this for all of you.
I don’t know when I’ll get another chance like this.
Soon, I’ll be graduating from the academy and preparing for the Hero Exam.
Once I become a hero, my life will likely be filled with battlefields, and I may not even return to this mansion.
So, let me do this, okay?” My words hung in the air, and though they eventually nodded, the sadness on their faces was unmistakable.
Suddenly, Milly, who had apparently been eavesdropping, stormed into the room, her face a mix of sorrow and anger.
“You’re such a hopeless brother!” she snapped.
“You can’t even cook!
When have you ever-” Ah, that’s right.
She didn’t know.
She didn’t know that I was a reincarnator from Earth who now inhabited this body.
Back on Earth, I used to cook for my family all the time, so I knew my way around the kitchen-especially Japanese dishes.
I smiled softly and began explaining what I was planning to cook.
Before I could finish, Mark and Nyssa returned, carrying bags filled with the ingredients I had requested.
Perfect timing.
“Great, now let me show you all something special!” I said, rolling up my sleeves.
“I’m going to make Yakitori and Yakiniku, dishes perfect for a celebration like this.” I started by explaining Yakiniku.
“It’s a grilled beef dish.
You slice the beef thinly, marinate it in yakiniku sauce-soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, garlic, and ginger-and let it sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
Then, you grill it on a flat pan or over an open flame.
Serve it with steamed white rice and grilled vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms.” As I prepared the dish, I guided my maids to help with some of the tasks, like chopping vegetables and managing the grill.
Milly, meanwhile, was practically drooling as she watched me cook, her excitement written all over her face.
Next, I moved on to Yakitori.
“This is grilled chicken skewers coated in tare sauce,” I explained.
“Cut the chicken into small pieces, skewer them along with green onions or bell peppers, and grill them.
You brush them with tare sauce-a mix of soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, and a little water-several times while grilling until they’re glossy and golden brown.
They’re perfect as snacks or a side dish.” As I demonstrated the techniques, everyone gathered around, watching me intently.
Their eyes sparkled with amazement, making me feel a bit self-conscious.
“Alright, enough staring!
Go do your tasks,” I said, shooing them away with a wave of my hand.
…
Once everything was ready, I served the dishes.
The dining room quickly filled with the aroma of grilled meat and spices, and everyone gathered to enjoy the feast.
Milly, Mark, Aisha, and Lilia looked ecstatic as they dug into the food.
Julius and Marius were eating with such vigor it was like they hadn’t had a proper meal in days.
Even Elan, Vivin, Mia, and Nyssa, who were usually reserved, were happily eating without any hint of hesitation.
Laughter and conversation filled the room as we celebrated together.
For a moment, it felt like we had no worries in the world-just the warmth of good food and good company.
As I was enjoying the meal, Envi suddenly took control of my body.
Without warning, he began devouring the food voraciously, dancing gleefully on the floor like a fool.
He even switched into his shameless scoundrel mode, dragging Vivin, Elan, and Mia into his wild dance.
His joy was palpable-especially when touching women.
“Envi, stop this right now!” I yelled internally, but he ignored me completely.
He then turned toward Nyssa, attempting to pull her into the dance.
However, Mark intercepted him with a sharp glare, swatting his hand away.
“Have some respect!” Mark scolded him, and instead, he took Nyssa’s hand himself.
The two began dancing, their movements harmonious and full of genuine joy.
Annoyed, Envi shifted his focus to Aisha.
He grabbed her hand and forced her to dance, showing off moves that were shockingly professional.
I didn’t know he could dance like this.
Aisha, to my surprise, matched him step for step, her movements graceful and effortless.
“Elves often celebrate with dances like this,” she said with a small smile, her voice carrying a nostalgic warmth.
“Beautiful!” Envi exclaimed, his voice dripping with admiration.
“Your dance is as stunning as you are.” The unexpected compliment turned Aisha’s face bright red.
Flustered, she nearly stumbled, but Envi caught her.
Their pose froze in a romantic frame-her body leaning into his, their faces mere inches apart.
Envi closed his eyes, tilting his head to kiss her.
Aisha’s eyes widened in surprise before shutting tightly, clearly unsure of how to react.
“Stop it, you damn system!” I bellowed in his mind, shattering his focus.
“Oi, Naoki!
Why are you interrupting my big moment?!” Envi snapped back, his irritation palpable.
Before he could argue further, Milly appeared out of nowhere, launching a flawless dropkick that landed squarely on Envi’s face.
He crashed to the floor, instantly knocked out.
With Envi unconscious, I regained control of my body.
Groaning internally, I cursed him for his antics.
“Serves you right, you lecherous system,” I muttered.
As I tried to stand, Milly loomed over me, her face contorted with rage.
“Brother!
How dare you act like that in front of Aisha!” she screamed, raining down punches on me.
“I’m sorry!
I’m sorry!” I pleaded, kneeling in defeat.
“I was drunk or something, okay?
I didn’t mean to flirt with your friend!” Of course, it wasn’t me.
It was Envi.
But how could I explain that?
The room erupted in laughter at my expense.
Resigned, I sighed.
My reputation as the eldest son of the Blackmore family was already in shambles, and Envi’s ridiculous behavior only made it worse.
After the feast, everyone was too full to do much else.
Slowly, we all began to drift off to sleep.
Elan painstakingly dragged Vivin, Mia, and Nyssa back to their quarters, while I carried Julius and Marius to their rooms.
They were heavy, but I couldn’t let my guests sleep in the dining room.
I found Milly and Aisha asleep, cuddled together.
Smiling at the sight, I carefully carried Milly to her bed.
Next, I attempted to lift Aisha.
“She’s heavier than I expected…” I mumbled, realizing her well-endowed figure likely contributed to her weight.
The thought made my nose tingle, and I quickly shook my head to dispel any inappropriate thoughts.
Placing her gently on Milly’s bed, I tucked them both in and fled the room, fearing anyone might misinterpret the situation.
Returning to the dining hall, I discovered Mark asleep on the sofa.
Lilia was there too, draping a blanket over him.
Her expression was soft, almost maternal.
“You care for Mark deeply, don’t you?” I asked quietly.
She nodded, her smile warm.
“I love Mark and Milly.
They’re my children, after all.” I hesitated, her words stirring something in me.
Of course, they were her children by blood.
Meanwhile, I was the stepson, the outsider.
No matter what I did, that truth wouldn’t change.
As I turned to leave, she called my name.
“Naoki, you’ve changed.
You’re more caring toward Mark and Milly.
Seeing the three of you getting along makes me happy.” I gave a small smile.
“I think Patriarch will be pleased to see this when he returns from the battlefield.” Lilia’s smile widened.
“He will.” I paused at the doorway, glancing back.
“I’ve come to like the Blackmore mansion.
I’ll protect this family from now on.” Her expression softened even further, and she simply nodded as I left to rest in my room.
…
A few days later, it was time to return to the Braveheart Knight Academy.
Our holiday was over, and our studies awaited.
I bid farewell to Elan, Vivin, Mia, Mark, and Nyssa.
Pulling Mark aside, I whispered, “Don’t hesitate to confess to Nyssa.
You’ll regret it if you don’t.” Blushing, he stammered, “Mind your own business, Brother!” Finally, I said goodbye to Lilia.
“I’ll return someday as a hero and make Patriarch proud.” “I look forward to it,” she replied, her voice filled with warmth.
With that, we left the Blackmore mansion, the place I now called home, and headed back to the Braveheart Knight Academy, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
