Chapter 343: Liya’s Scheme
Before these giant armoured men, the orcs found their sizes lacking! The hammers of the Templars crushed the bones of every part of the orcs’ body they happened to hit.
Omar brutally shattered the shoulder of an orc causing it to roar. It tried swinging the other arm but Omar lifted up the tail end of the hammer, which had a sharp tip and plunged it through the orc.
He slammed the orc with his foot, pulling out the hammer in the same motion.
Pulling out his crossbow, he aimed at an orc riding a wolf towards him. He calculated his aim, waiting for the orc to get closer.
When it reached his mark…
Swoosh!
Puchi!
Three bolts lodged into the orc’s chest. Omar swung the crossbow over his shoulder, and fired lightning at the wolf, charring its head.
The wolf crashed, skidding through the snow until it stopped before Omar’s feet.
An orc lunged at him from the right, only to receive a hammer to the head, taking it away from its path, tossing and tumbling on the ground.
“Hmm…”
Omar curled his fingers around the long shaft of the Warhammer like they were talons. Then, he removed his left hand, pulled out his dagger and tightened his grip while facing a greater wave of orcs.
Thud! Thud!
Other Templars lined up on his left and right side.
“They’re fierce.” A Templar stated softly.
Another turned toward him. “But our cause burns brighter. We are their bane!”
The moment his voice died down, Omar and the others burst forward, launching lightning blasts before their hammers came down, executing judgement on their foes.
“For the Duke! For his throne, for paradise!” Omar’s blood pumping voice rippled through the air like a sonic blast, causing the flames of purpose in his men to burn brighter than ever.
Their force poured out, cloaking them in blood red light!
Far on the left side of the battlefield, a group of individuals in black cloaks stood in a unique formation.
Six of them behind their leader.
Hidden by a cloaking spell, they were certain no one could spot them in the slightest.
“We did not expect this. This army is much stronger than 10,000 human saint knights in proper formation. The orcs can’t defeat them.”
One of them said solemnly.
“You forget, Uhtred, the flaming one is an ancient ranked being.” Another retorted.
“And so? There are 8,000 saints and 200 imperial-ranked soldiers in that battlefield. Uhtred might be able to kill a dozen imperial-ranked soldiers but he can’t turn the tides in his favour. Not with diamond-ranked orcs as his main troop!”
“You speak a lot…” the leader pulled down her hood, revealing her white hair and sapphire eyes.
“It doesn’t matter if he has miraculously assembled an army of elite knights with natural racial advantages beyond that of a human. Abyss force is a superior force. It would wear them down eventually and besides…”
Liya turned to the abyss mages.
“Our plan was to use the ancient-ranked spell to break this ice and have all of them sink into the depths of the snow lake. Those that survive the extreme cold will face the four century old winter dragon. It’s the only reason why we delayed the orcs after all.”

“But My Lady. The lives of our brothers and sisters were lost summoning this army. Are we going to dispose of them like this?”
Liya’s face distorted.
“You’re weak.”
Thud!
As the mage dropped to the ground, her hood fell off, revealing her frozen face to the others.
Yet their expressions remained unfazed by her death.
“We shall begin the spell.”
Liya waved her hand.
All of them lifted up their hands towards the sky, shut their eyes and began to whisper strange and unknown words.
Back on the battlefield, Nero pulled his swords off the corpse of an orc and expanded his senses to get a view of the battlefield.
His eyes, hidden behind his completely sealed helmet, widened upon spotting the mages. He could see the ripples caused by a large amount of force.
This kind of phenomenon wasn’t available to the physical eye.
At first, Nero tried teleporting to their midst but discovered there was no sand in sight. Turning, he faced Asher who was two meters away on Sirius’ back cutting down orcs.
“My Lord! There are abyss mages at the far left!”
Asher squinted his eyes as he turned toward the left. The ripples of the ancient ranked spell grew too powerful that the cloaking spell wore off, revealing the mages to Asher.
Before then, he could feel the vile force but seeing Liya’s face made his face darken.
“My Lord!!”
Just then, Moses’ alarmed yell shook him. Asher snapped toward the front only to see a javelin made of flames had arrived.
Sirius tilted his body upward, consumed the flames and as he landed on all fours again, smoke left the gaps of his teeth.
Sirius’ eyes narrowed, accompanied by a low, ominous growl that sent shivers down the spine.
In the reflection of his and Asher’s eyes was Uhtred, the flaming one, forming another javelin.
“Eleazar, Levi. Aid Nero and bring me that orc’s head.”
Both were the most fearsome amongst his paladins, stronger than most but a bit weaker than Moses, the one eyed and Simon the fearless.
All three of them ran toward Uhtred, cutting down their foes like they were nothing. Eleazar swung his glaive, launching 100 orcs into the air.
Nero swung his sword, unleashing a scorching wave that incinerated all of them while Levi moved through the horde through sheer strength.
His strength was simply unmatched. Swinging his glaive, he could cut through an orc and even cleave the land open!
Seeing this, Asher made Sirius face the direction of the mages. As Sirius ran, he grew in size until he was 10 feet tall!
In mere seconds, he traversed the battlefield, closing the gap between him and them.
Six orcs clad from head to toe in black armour and large axes stood beyond the bloody battlefield, guardians of the mages.
“You shall not cross!”
One roared.
