Chapter 680: Don’t Heal Me Chapter 680: Don’t Heal Me Indeed, from the very beginning, Xu Feng’s intention of using his devastating spells to kill and injure some of them was all for this moment.

There was a limit to how much he could deal with so many players grouping together to siege the city with the monster waves.  Not even Carmen would be able to handle this much pressure despite being a Summoner herself who could summon numerous creatures.  After all, even if one had the stamina and motivation to persevere through, the mana that one player could have wouldn’t be able to receive a massive boost.

Even if one had mana reduction or recovery potion, sooner or later, the mana would run out.

And that was precisely the obstacle Xu Feng faced when he was finished using Absolute Undoing, Sanctuary Light, Wrathful Restoration, and Origin’s Wrath.  The combination of all these skills consumed most of his mana, which resulted in him having to play a passive yet pretentious role.

By remaining idle and seemingly carefree about his enemies reviving and healing themselves was a way to deceive the public.

Most of the time, the simpler a thing was, the more complicated that humans tend to overthink.

The answer might be very clear, but because it was so crystal clear that they doubted the answer was that easy to be figured out.

Thanks to that, PotionHoarder made the decision that was subtly manipulated by him.

Rather than using the time to immediately advance, PotionHoarder decided to have his allies healed to full and advanced together just in case there were more traps.  With the time he wasted, it allowed Xu Feng to pinpoint the players who were healed to max and target using Overheal Detonation.  Upon activation, any overhealing applied to an ally or enemy within 10 seconds triggers a large explosion, dealing AoE damage proportional to the excess healing.

And the greatest part about this skill was that the more hits it dealt, the lower the cooldown would become.

‘I bet PotionHoarder would have never ordered for his people to be fully healed if he knew I have such a skill.’ Xu Feng sneered inwardly.

As numerous explosions continued to occur from the effect of the Overheal Detonation, the players began to panic further and cast heal or drank healing potions.

Their train of logic was to quickly recover their lost health points to prevent themselves from being killed.

However, what they failed to realize was that by trying their best to recover their lost health points, they inadvertently made themselves the new available target for Xu Feng to cast Overheal Detonation from.

And with that scene happening concurrently, PotionHoarder also seemed to come to a realization.  ‘Those who were detonated…’ PotionHoarder felt a cold chill running down his spine upon having a conjecture.

It was a fearsome conjecture that he wished it wasn’t the truth.

‘It can’t be that whoever got healed would receive the backlashes, right?

Isn’t the whole point of healing to recover and be on the safe side?’ His mouth twitched uncontrollably amidst the devastating scene.

Just as he was about to warn his fellow comrades to stop healing, he suddenly sensed danger.

Without hesitation, PotionHoarder cast a barrier.

CLANK!

A loud impact was created and PotionHoarder was forcefully repelled backward.  “Not bad for an Arcane Mage.

I rate your reaction time to be 8/10.

But your overall leadership skill is at 2/10.” Xu Feng commented.  “To repeatedly ignore my presence and become distracted.

That’s your first mistake.” He continued and proceeded to launch consecutive spells directed at PotionHoarder.  In the meantime, PotionHoarder realized the situation was grim and could not afford to be distracted any further.  To counter the spells that were launched at him, he started to retaliate with his own set of spells.

However, he failed to notice that most of the spells Xu Feng launched were Tier 0 and barely had much destructive power.

Thus, for him to use Tier 1 spells to counter Xu Feng’s Tier 0 spells was considered a massive waste.

Such an action would be similar to a player using their ultimate move on a monster who could be one-shot by any of your lowest spells.  By the time PotionHoarder noticed this big mistake, Xu Feng’s commentary continued.

“Second mistake, wasting higher level spells unnecessarily when you should have used lower tier ones.” Xu Feng said and began to unleash his Tier 1 spells.  “Grr, Light Barrier!” PotionHoarder gnashed his teeth and activated his second barrier.  Unlike the previous barrier though, this one would take a chunk of his mana to defend against the attacks.  Sure enough, having been bombarded by higher-tier spells, his mana instantly got cut in half to resist the damage.

Additionally, his health points also decreased by 7% from the excess damage.  When that occurred, PotionHoarder’s fellow teammates in the front finally came back to their senses.  Previously, they were also alarmed and distracted by the prolonged detonation.

They were forced to open their team voice chat and instruct the rest on how to deal with the situation.  With that being said, PotionHoarder became the sole person to confront Xu Feng temporarily until now.

“Hmph, this sly bastard dares to sneak attack when we are busy commanding the rest.” Watcher Skye clenched his fist and turned to a healer who had followed them.

“What are you waiting for, healer?

Quickly heal PotionHoarder.” He shouted furiously when he noticed the healer seemed to be in a daze.  They were at battle and this healer dared to be lost?  Stricken with fear, the healer swallowed a mouthful of saliva and was about to heal PotionHoarder.

“STOP!” Horrified, PotionHoarder almost crapped his pants from the healing that he was about to receive.

“Don’t heal me!” He screamed at the top of his lungs.  His shout was so unexpected that the healer stumbled in place.  However, the healing cast was done already so rather than healing PotionHoarder, the heal went to Watcher Skye instead, who was nearby.

‘Fuck…’ PotionHoarder, who saw that, wanted to escape as far away from him as possible.
