Chapter 685: Impacts Chapter 685: Impacts After Eclipse Nova had secretly exited from the scene, the command of the battle naturally went toward Carmen.

“Shall we finish things off now?” Carmen asked Veronica with a cheeky tone.  “I’ve been waiting to hear that.” Veronica quickly got over the emotional part and was ready to unleash her fury upon the enemies.  Sometime later, Carmen made a post in the guild, stating that the members could now rush outside and kill the enemies.  Their kill counts would be recorded on the board and those with double digits would earn 50 Merit Points.  And any more additional digits would be counted as 5 Merit Points.

Sure enough, once the post was made, those who had been frustrated for a long time, started to grab their weapons and cheered loudly.

“Finally, my time to regain my rank is here!” Lightning Blade roared, his eyes glinted in a cold light.

“Don’t any of you dare to kill steal me.

Otherwise, you’re going to get it.” He then warned his companion.

Both Skyfire Mist and FreeLancer could only smile bitterly.

They glanced at each other and sighed.  “Ugh, who told Blade to get his dumbass demoted.” Skyfire Mist shook his head.  “Well, the Merit Points aside, we can also make Blade owe us dinner and more,” FreeLancer said, taking full advantage of the situation.

“That’s right.

You better treat us well, Blade.” Skyfire Mist demanded.

“So long as I can get my rank back.

You can all feast like kings.” Lightning Blade was not one to shy away.  Despite their banter and seemingly insidious intention, they all got along well ever since the large-scale raid.

Not to mention, these two didn’t treat him any differently after learning of his demotion and even went to assist him in trying to gain it back.

It was also a coincidence that FreeLancer also resided in the same city, so they all met up in the real world, becoming great buddies.

Skyfire Mist was already his buddy, but that didn’t change the fact that FreeLancer was now considered the same group as them.

Just like that, the trio, along with the many guild members who stayed behind, rushed outside the city and slain as many enemies as they could.  As for the enemies, having lost all their supposed leaders.

The second-in-command players were also frightened by Eclipse Nova’s action and failed to react and command properly in battle.

What made it worse was that their number counts were too high to actually effectively communicate.  In the past VRMMORPG, having high number counts meant a victory guarantee.

However, that was not the case for the Divine World.  High number counts?  More like high numbers of fireworks being displayed!

With the high numbers, Eclipse Nova’s mysterious skills in making them explode were extremely devastating.  Nowhere was safe and anyone caught in the detonation would be blasted.

The unlucky ones would even be blasted into a trajectory of another detonation.  And with so many covering the field, even fleeing would cause a stampede among them.  This was just one of the many impacts that had occurred due to Eclipse Nova.  Outskirts of Star Falls City “Unbelievable… that’s how the siege war got resolved?” Blake twitched his mouth in disbelief.  As a Guild Commander, even he would find it difficult to resist the monster waves and the players numbered more than 20,000.

That was on top of another 1000 hired NPCs as their opponents.  “I doubt MIST would ever expect their surefire siege to fail so horrendously.” Gentle Wind commented, finding the Vanguard Guild to be more fearsome by the day.

If it wasn’t for MIST’s siege war, then she would have never known about the person behind the guild.  ‘No wonder Guild Leader Lin Feng constantly mentioned about his mysterious boss.

The difference between the two is really large.’ She sighed and realized the missed opportunity.  Had she joined the fray early and taken a heavy risk to support the Vanguard Guild, then she would have gained herself a great ally.

Unfortunately, that was no longer viable.

The timing was wrong and joining in now would only make her look cheap.  “I suppose I should leave now.” Herald Fist suddenly said.  “Although the chances were lost to be close with the guild, the truth was that the world now would be wary of them.” He added, stating that being overly powerful isn’t exactly ideal.

Almost everyone in the group agreed with Herald Fist’s statement.

Unless one had a strong foundation like those Super Guilds, it would actually be a misfortune rather than a blessing to be so dazzling.

However, Iceheart had a different opinion.  “I don’t know about what others think, but I refuse to believe Guild Leader Lin Feng’s Boss hadn’t thought of that possibility.” She said and pointed at the field.

“Look at how much loot they are plundering.

With that much loot, I’m sure the Vanguard Guild would retaliate sooner or later.”  “Are you saying the Vanguard Guild would siege against Skyland City?” Moon Arrow questioned.

Iceheart shook her head in response.  Before she could input her thoughts, RavenKnight suddenly intervened.  “Based on the situation, the Vanguard Guild would most likely siege all the participating guilds and Adventure Teams.”  Although having been interrupted, Iceheart didn’t care much and merely agreed with his words.

“That’s correct, and I just received a message from Guild Leader Lin Feng,” Iceheart revealed and informed them.

“Guild Leader Lin Feng asked if I’m interested in some of the lands that were occupied by Riverbane.”  Lanester, who represented Riverbane Guild, had one of their branch guilds relatively close to the Phoenix Guild’s operation.

Therefore, Iceheart wasn’t surprised when Lin Feng contacted her if she was interested in swallowing their branch guild.

Despite Iceheart suddenly dropping such a bomb-like revelation, everyone was too startled and distracted to react in time to the information.

Clearly, all of them realized the impact of not assisting Vanguard Guild in their supposed times of crisis had come back to bite them in full force.
