No matter what, he didn’t want a complete fallout in their relationship.

Just like how Magnus needed him, it was vice versa.

Xu Feng required someone like Magnus to shield the opposing NPCs from acting against him and allow him to develop with more laidback condition.

“Didn’t you just arrive here after that fabulous war you have won?

I haven’t even complimented or praised you yet.” He continued.  Amused, Xu Feng nodded his head and flashed a friendly smile.  “Haha, the war clouded my mindset.

I was still thinking about the conversation I had with the opposing guild leader and haven’t gotten over it yet.” He then said and scratched his head shyly.  “Ah, should I send some people to get you some calming tea to relax?” Magnus asked in concern and was about to call for an employee.

However, Xu Feng rejected the gesture and instead asked, “It’s alright.

I believe something else would be more calming.”  “The formation and runes required to construct an arena combat, right?” Magnus quickly cut him off and proceeded to retrieve a few items out and place them on the desk.

“These are extremely scarce and rare, but for you, I’ll make an exception.

Is this very calming?”  Astonished, Xu Feng’s eyes widened as he quickly stood up and gave a 90-degree bow to Magnus.

“How could I ever thank you for this generosity, Magnus.” Xu Feng exclaimed, seemingly overwhelmed with emotion.  “I feel like I’m going to cry now.

How could you just drop a sudden bomb on me like that?” He said and smoothly took the items to his inventory in a lightning-fast manner.  Meanwhile, Magnus, who saw the action, nearly had the urge to punch Xu Feng in the face for such shamelessness.  “Okay, you’ve been rewarded for your effort so you may leave now,” Magnus said, clearly telling him to scram in a roundabout manner.

Now that both parties had understood each other, it was best to keep the pretenses and truly forget about the previous conversation.  “Yes, I shall excuse myself now, Magnus.” Xu Feng stood up and bowed politely.  Shortly after Xu Feng made his exit, Magnus finally released some of his steam.

Why are there suddenly so many players?” He raised an eyebrow in confusion.

The shop might have become a stable and very efficient place for players, but it had been a long time since it was this overcrowded.

“Oi, are you new here?” Suddenly, a player who was in front of him, overheard his question, asked in a prideful tone.

Since Xu Feng wasn’t wearing a mask or a guild emblem, he was easily perceived as a regular player.  Thus, he nodded his head and answered, “I came to this city after hearing about the guild war happening, but it was already over by the time I finished the teleportation.”  “Heh, you’re in luck then.” The player laughed heartily.

“That guild war was beyond pathetic for MIST.

The Vanguard Guild absolutely steamrolled them.”  “Oh, no wonder it was that quick.” Xu Feng rubbed his chin, feigning ignorance of the war.  “Anyway, I’m Ghostly Ranger and we’re all lining up here to purchase a membership.” The player identified as Ghostly Ranger said and proceeded to give advice to Xu Feng.

“A membership for the Training Hall might not seem much at a glance, but based on my analysis.

There had to be more to it, so we just need to purchase a membership now and wait.”  “What could there be more of?

Isn’t it just a Training Hall?”  “Aiyah, you really are ignorant.” Ghostly Ranger shook his head but still chose to explain.  “If you pay attention to the things that the Vanguard Guild had pulled off, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they are the pioneers of development.

He then flashed his tag which showed the number 095.  However, his eyes widened in utter shock when he spotted the fierce NPCs actually sidestepped and allowed him to enter.
