Wherever the NPC walked, the others began to make way for them.

After all, there had been incidents in which some players were unruly and attempted to skip the queue.

As the NPC paused their steps in front of a player, the crowd began to gossip and snicker among themselves.

“Y-Yes, Sir.” Ghostly Ranger replied, not daring to lie.  As everyone thought Ghostly Ranger was about to meet his demise, the NPC’s next statement stunned them all.

“Good, give me your tag and you may enter.”  “My tag?” Startled, Ghostly Ranger had yet to understand the situation when his tag was taken and practically dragged inside.

Soon after, the NPC also returned to the shop, rendering everyone speechless.

It took them all a few seconds to finally react.

“Holy crap, that player actually skipped the queue?”  “No, it has to be that other player who was conversing with him.

There’s no way that the NPC suddenly had a change of heart.”  “Yeah, but who is that player?”  Alas, the moment this question was raised.

There was no one responding to it, mainly because they were all occupied in their own space to pay attention.  Meanwhile, within the shop, Ghostly Ranger still found it baffling that he was actually skipping the queue.

He was on the first floor and was being guided by a receptionist- a treatment that no other players were receiving.

“Please follow me here to register your membership.” “Ahh, thank you.” Ghostly Ranger snapped out of his daze and promptly followed the receptionist, unaware that he was being overlooked from the top floor.

“So he’s the player that you mention has the potential of being a strategist?” Carmen commented, her eyes scanning at Ghostly Ranger who was nervously following the receptionist.  “Mhmm, his analysis and foresight aren’t bad.” Xu Feng nodded and explained what he had just gone through.  A few minutes later, Carmen became amused.

“If some people paid attention to the guild’s miracles, then they could easily come up with that conjecture.

That can’t be the only thing that garners your attention.”  Chuckling, Xu Feng merely kept a smile on his face without explaining further.

His action left Carmen pouting, but she knew there was no way she could get the answer to her question when this happened.

“Anyway, you should start preparing.” Xu Feng suggested and returned to the office.  After returning to the office, Xu Feng jotted down a few notes regarding Ghostly Ranger.

‘The willingness to help others without expecting a return.

This trait is rare and if managed properly, it would prove beneficial.’  Such a trait could easily be taken advantage of, and the mere fact that he had no recollection of this name.  Xu Feng was somewhat positive Ghostly Ranger was one of those people who disappeared from the scene or became an extra, in a sense.  “Since he shows potential as a strategist, I might as well nurture him.” He muttered, feeling that it was about time that he started handpicking a selected few to rope into the guild.  The only reason he hadn’t done so in the beginning, was out of fear that they might be wary or even distance themselves from him for the sudden approach.

Carmen was an exception because he truly met her by coincidence and the same thing happened with Crimson Heart.  He got lucky encountering them both, but ever since, his luck had dwindled.  He hadn’t met anyone famous or someone he knew was going to be the top rankers.

The only people he met were enemies in his past timeline, and he wasn’t going to take some petty revenge on them.  Aside from the Reaver Guild and those behind them, Xu Feng wouldn’t bother himself with those who only went against him because circumstances created it.  With everything afresh, unless they happened to cross paths again, he would choose to ignore them and focus on his development and the guild.  Having pondered many things and finished reading the reports from Veronica and Zhao Kai, he received a system prompt.
