Chapter 728: Auction House Chapter 728: Auction House Time seemed to have slowed down immensely for Floral Witch, who now assumed the role of a student in a classroom.  Xu Feng was acting as a lecturer, and scolding Floral Witch repeatedly for her foolish actions.

In a slow motion, she pointed at herself and said, “If that player’s name is called Floral Witch.”  Nodding, Xu Feng was satisfied that she answered honestly.

She clasped her hands and said, “We should enjoy food when it’s hot.”  Seeing her shifting the topic and starting shoving some food into her mouth, Xu Feng shook his head in response.

‘Whatever, I gave her enough scolding as an acquaintance already.’ He thought.

It was due to her similarity with Zhao Kai that he decided to be generous for once and advise her.  Sometime later, the two officially agreed to enter a simple contract.  “Great, then here’s the two slots and make sure to be on time.” Floral Witch said and transferred partial rights to Xu Feng.  These slots were necessary to enter the Hall of Resonance.  And since Floral Witch only had her maid who was also a player as a candidate, she directly gave out the other two to Xu Feng.

Firstly, one was for him, and another one was for him to choose.  Naturally, Xu Feng wouldn’t refuse the gesture and gladly accept it.  The Hall of Resonance was a chance to get a Hidden Class but unlike his Hidden Class change.

It was clear that she was not pleased one bit about Xu Feng judging her maid.  “Well, people change, and don’t be mistaken.” Xu Feng tapped his fingers on the table and said, “I never work with people who I have doubts against.

I can’t leave my back vulnerable.”  Silent, Floral Witch furrowed her brows before taking a deep breath.

“I’ll do some investigation, but if there’s nothing.

I hope you can apologize to my maid.”  “No need for that.” Xu Feng flat-out rejected her suggestion.

“I do my own judgment when we begin.

I’m only telling you this now because you showed me your sincerity, so I’m repaying the favor.

During the Hall of Resonance, I will place her in mind while you stay out of it.”  “I invited you to assist me.” Floral Witch hissed coldly.  “And I’m assisting you by vetting the people around you.

If you can’t even see it that way, then after the Hall of Resonance, we can unfriend and never meet again.” He coolly responded.  Had it not been for her sincerity, then Xu Feng would have ignored her.

The mere fact that he had basically zero recollection was evident enough that she had been consumed whole on her own plane.  How could someone who got eliminated in their own plane be recognized elsewhere?  The atmosphere was quite heated, but in the end, Floral Witch managed to compose herself.  “I guess when that day happens, it’ll prove you wrong.” She said softly.  “I do hope that I’m wrong.” Xu Feng smiled in response.  Naturally, he wished his speculation to be completely wrong.

But it was in his nature to be suspicious.

Caution ensured a high possibility of success because there would be no visible crack opening that could be breached.  A few minutes later, the two exited their private room and began heading to the main venue.  With more gold coins on hand due to the transaction, Xu Feng was more confident in being able to win some of the items.

Items that would be beneficial for his town or his guild members.  As the two put on the mask granted to them by the employees to protect their identity, they soon found themselves seated on an upper floor.

Given that Floral Witch was such a spendthrift, she managed to snag a decent room that oversaw the whole auction venue.  “Although we are now in a cooperation, don’t be depressed if you can’t outbid me.” Floral Witch turned to him and said cheekily.

It was clear that she seemed to hold some grudges from the previous lecture.

“If you wish to outbid me on an item, then so be it.” Xu Feng shrugged in response.

He was not one to fall for such a low provocation trick.

Not to mention, an auction was meant to have the highest bidders win.  As for trying to throw your status or weight in the auction to win an item?  Xu Feng surely wished to encounter some players who would be brazen enough to commit such acts.
