Chapter 745: Mysterious Player Chapter 745: Mysterious Player The Colossus was unable to regenerate anymore, and when faced against an enemy who received unlimited healing and support.  It was impossible for the Colossus to not want to end its life sooner.

As the Colossus died and a massive loot showered the field, Zhao Kai erupted into cheer.  “Hahaha, I fake solo kill an elite boss type!” He exclaimed loudly.

“Fake solo?” Right when Xu Feng unmuted the video call, he was dumbfounded when he overheard Zhao Kai.  Zhao Kai didn’t know about the muting part as he was concentrated on the battle.  Thus, he didn’t think much and answered honestly.

“Well yeah.

I didn’t actually solo him when I received your assistance.”  Nodding, Xu Feng was glad that Zhao Kai understood that the accomplishment wasn’t done alone.

“You’re right with that mindset.

Never become complacent and always make sure to do many preparations before taking an action.” Xu Feng gently advised.  In the next moment though, he changed his tone.

“Anyway, you are to forget about my assistance and claim that you soloed a Colossus.

I even have the video recording of the call.

I will have OneManMedia edit out the sound later on.”  Astonished, Zhao Kai was rendered speechless.

He scratched his head and seemed to be in a predicament.  After taking a deep breath, Zhao Kai finally mustered up his courage.

“Feng, I’m grateful that you want to boost my popularity and fame.

But I feel like it’s cheating.

I know I couldn’t have made it this far without your arrangement.”  Although it hurts to admit his shortcomings, Zhao Kai didn’t want to deceive himself.

He knew that anyone else who got the position with Xu Feng’s help would have easily accomplished the feat.  As if that wasn’t enough, he had a feeling that Carmen could easily solo the Colossus without any assistance.

That was just how massive the difference in skills between them was.

“Kai, you might think that my support is what got you the win, but the truth is.

Without your action, it wouldn’t have succeeded.” Xu Feng explained.  “Did you think just any nobodies could remain airborne for a prolonged time while consistently dealing damage?

You underestimate yourself too much.” He added.  Zhao Kai was so self-conscious of his ability that he failed to realize the talent he had displayed.

It was the equivalent of trying to compare a car with an airplane.

The car would never be like an airplane, so a comparison between the two was ridiculous to begin with.

And that was precisely what Zhao Kai was doing.  He might have never voiced it out, but with his years of experience, Xu Feng could easily tell Zhao Kai was comparing himself with Carmen.  But the problem was Carmen’s class was that of a Summoner while he was a Gun Knight.

A Summoner was meant to be superior in DPS as opposed to a Gun Knight.  “Are you not lying to me?” Zhao Kai pursed his lips and asked softly.  “Does it look like you’re some beautiful woman or a toddler?” Xu Feng rolled his eyes.

“Why would I bother coaxing you?”  Instantly, Zhao Kai faked a cough to avoid the embarrassment.

He feigned ignorance and proceeded to loot everything that was dropped by the Colossus.  “Anyway, what should I do now?” Zhao Kai questioned.

Honestly, he was exhausted from this battle alone.

But there were still two Colossus remaining and many monsters as well.

“Stay there and wait till you’re out of combat to use a Return Scroll.” Xu Feng responded.

“You’re incapable of fighting another Colossus.”  Although the truth hurts, Zhao Kai understood he was done.

Thus, he plopped to the ground and glanced at his surroundings.  Previously, he didn’t pay much attention because of the mega-large Colossus and the looming danger.

However, now that everything was over, he realized there was no presence of monsters in the vicinity.

It was as if they had unanimously agreed to allow the Colossus and him to have a one versus one brawl.

This would have made sense if the enemy was a player, but the enemy was an Elite Boss Type- one that had high intelligence.  How could it be possible for the Colossus to not cheat and call for reinforcement?

There was no way its pride was more important than its life!  Just at this moment, Zhao Kai caught a glimpse of something shiny from afar.  It appeared to be a small stone at first glance, but upon closer inspection, Zhao Kai noticed some engraving on it.  ‘It can’t be that, right?’ Startled, Zhao Kai’s mouth twitched as he turned to Xu Feng.

Having recalled that this place was practically led by Xu Feng, he doubted it was some sort of coincidence.  As Zhao Kai pointed at the small rock “Feng, did you-?” He got cut off before he could even finish his question.

“Yeah, you’re in an isolated formation through the runes.” Xu Feng answered.

“But fret not, the fight has been recorded, and once you return.

The formation will automatically deactivate and the others will only see that the fight is over.”  “Hah, tell me… are you really not omnipotent?” Feeling astonished, Zhao Kai was utterly speechless by the calculation made.  Sometime later, he activated a Return Scroll, and the isolated formation subsequently disappeared.  As soon as that happened, the other players were only able to capture the scene of the last pivotal moment.  The scene of Zhao Kai knocking down Colossus!  “A-A player actually soloed an Elite Boss Type monster all alone?” “What did I just witness?”  “Is that even possible?”  Almost immediately, a large commotion and ruckus were created, with some unlucky individuals being killed in the process for getting distracted.

The devastating impact and scene were so vivid that they failed to comprehend the situation.  All they recalled was that the intense battle was reaching its height and then they vanished.

By the time the battle re-emerged, it was already over and the victor was a mysterious player.

Who wouldn’t be shocked and frustrated by such a scene?  It was the equivalent of watching a movie and then having the minutes skipped over, completely missing the entire process.
