“Are you having cold feet now that we have to help defend Dawnshire City?”  Without even needing to turn around, Xu Feng already knew who the person was.  “It seems like you have a lot of free time, Shadow Blade.” Xu Feng commented.  And he continued, “I wonder where the previous self-deprecating and low spirit person went.”  “…”  Instantly, Zhao Kai was displeased about his counter.  “Oh come on, did you have to go that far?” He screamed and rushed toward him.  “Yes, keep running, and if you accidentally fall from this height.

I won’t heal you.” Hearing that, Zhao Kai hurriedly controlled his pace to prevent the possibility of tripping and falling over.

They were currently at the highest watchtower point that could oversee the North side-the side where the monster waves were going to come from.

I can tell they’re quite impatient, and my eldest sister is constantly glaring at me.”  He purposely spoke of the last part in hopes that Xu Feng could help resolve his crisis.

Gaming with your siblings was never a fun thing to do, especially when one of them was equivalent to a parent figure to you.  “Suck it up.” Xu Feng calmly said.  “Our Vanguard Guild’s rescue is going to become the main highlight of this major event.

Almost all resources and manpower have been allocated to the cities with potential revenue.”  With that being said, Zhao Kai’s hopes of trying to transfer to another city were shattered completely.

His expression turned sour.  “You really are ruthless.” He pursed his lips and complained.

He realized how foolish it was to try and gain Xu Feng’s sympathy.  The person in front of him had changed completely ever since that dorm incident in which his face received a deadly punch.  “Anyway, where did you allocate the other remaining members to?” Zhao Kai asked.

Based on his recollection, he recalled that their guild didn’t have much higher-ranked members.  Besides the two Guild Commanders, Xu Feng had only promoted another one to be a Guild Captain: Veronica aka Vortex Viper.  The remaining ones were only Elite Members at best.

And these Elite Members weren’t capable of soloing a Colossus.  It wasn’t that he wanted to undermine their skill or capability, but it was the truth.

Even he would have failed had it not been for Xu Feng’s secret support.  Therefore, he found it hard to believe Xu Feng would split up the members of the guild and accept commissions.

Money was indeed nice, but that was under the premise they could accomplish the task.

As he had personally dealt with the Colossus first-hand, Zhao Kai knew how dangerous and powerful they were.  However, knowing Xu Feng was the stubborn type who insisted on acting after making his decision, Zhao Kai could only input his opinion on the allocation of manpower.  “Hoh, and here I thought you were just a casual player.” Xu Feng glanced at him with an amused expression.

“When have you started to care about the guild’s function or even anything else at all?”  Besides the task that Xu Feng personally assigned to him, Zhao Kai never did more than or less.

It was to the point that Zhao Kai behaved no different than a programmed robot who only completed what was coded for him.  Yet at this very moment, it appeared that this supposed program robot had broken out of its shell and finally began to care about the world outside of the code.

“I’m lazy, but not stupid.” Zhao Kai crossed his arms.

“I know you’ve been shouldering a lot of things and your chuckling is always so fake.

So why don’t you just spill the beans and let me help as well?”  Although being called fake was somewhat awkward, Xu Feng decided to ignore that remark.  “I’m glad you want to offer your help, but there’s really no need.” He then explained and sent him a detailed layout of his allocation.  A few minutes later, Zhao Kai’s eyes widened in disbelief.  As expected, the allocation only had two or three Elite Members in command overseeing a bunch of lower-ranked players.  “If it’s the regular monsters, then they definitely can suppress it.

But I’m sure we were commissioned to deal with the Colossus.

They are not just some weak mob that you can slice and dice.” Zhao Kai twitched his mouth and explained.  He was filled with utter disbelief that Xu Feng would entrust these people.  Meanwhile, Xu Feng was honestly a bit tempted to smack him in the head.  No, even better was to have Zhao Kai spar a bit with the lower-ranked players.  ‘Their levels only seemed low because these bunch of people haven’t been grinding.’ Xu Feng sneered inwardly.

Level was not the main factor of victory, but rather it was the combat experience and how well they coordinated it with their spells.  And these people whom Zhao Kai looked down upon were the selected few who had been trained in the Training Hall.
