Chapter 778: Different Plane
Zyron’s plan of waiting for the formation to run out of effect wasn’t bad.
After all, it was only Xu Feng who could confront them whereas the other tank was occupied in dealing with the Colossus.
And on the off-chance, Zhao Kai finished the battle early and joined Xu Feng. It still wouldn’t change much, given Zhao Kai’s skills would be in cooldown and his mana should have been expended.
With that being in the factor, only Xu Feng who was a healer could possibly damage them.
‘Hmph, just stay arrogant and continue yapping.’ Zyron sneered inwardly.
The reason why he even made his threat was not to spout a third-rate villain’s line. But it was to distract Xu Feng and force him to respond to him. Thus, allowing them to continue to stall for time.
After all, by stalling, it would only be advantageous to them. Even if it only stalled for a bit, it wouldn’t matter much anyway. With their equipment and sustainability, they could easily survive against a healer even with this many restrictions.
As the atmosphere became somewhat intense and gloomy, Xu Feng suddenly laughed.
“Your companion called you Zyron, right. I supposed you came from a different plane.” Xu Feng said.
“The Siege of the Colossus is a major event, so your plane should have been busy with the siege as well. Yet rather than defending your own plane, you came here to mess with us. Why is that?” He then questioned.
“I just wanted to mess with you,” Zyron smirked and responded. “I’ve been constantly hearing a lot about some upstart guild making waves, so I might as well come here and teach them a lesson.”
“Oh, so a lesson to lecture the upstart guilds to not act arrogant while making a name for yourself, right?”
“That’s right!”
When Xu Feng heard that, he nearly laughed uncontrollably.
After all, he was positive about what Zyron was thinking. His attempts to provoke him through verbal argument were quite decent—for a simpleton.
“Ah, let’s stop the nonsense and tell me which guild you are from. If you do, then I might just willingly hand over the slots for the Hall of Resonance.” Xu Feng clasped his hands and offered generously.
“Hmph, as if we’d believe your words.” Before Zyron could respond, one of his subordinates sneered and raised his middle finger with much difficulty.
Meanwhile, Zyron’s expression frowned, and nearly wanted to kill his subordinate.
“Nobody would think you’re a mute if you don’t talk.” Zyron scolded harshly.
Instantly, the subordinate panicked and failed to understand why he was scolded, to begin with. He didn’t even reveal anything.
When Zyron saw his retarded subordinate expression, he clicked his tongue. “You didn’t expose our affiliation, but thanks to you, the other party knows why we came after them. Just that point alone is enough for them to have an area to investigate. When we return, you’re demoted to a rookie and will remain there until you learn to shut your mouth.”
A few seconds later, Zyron no longer beat around the bushes and said, “You’re quite clever. But clever isn’t enough to salvage your guild’s current predicament. Our plane never messed or dabbled with yours, so why must you provoke us?”
As soon as Zyron said that, Xu Feng confirmed that the issue was indeed related to the deal he made with Floral Witch.
However, this was the confusing part. The deal they made was a private one, so the information behind it should have been a secret.
‘Floral isn’t stupid enough to reveal the matter to others.’ Xu Feng thought to himself. Having been deceived by her once, he highly doubted she would inform anyone else about their secret deal.
After all, it wouldn’t do her any good if their relationship turned sour because of this issue. Nevertheless, this was still a suspicious point, and Xu Feng couldn’t just negate the possibility of Floral Witch leaking the news on purpose.
Suddenly, Xu Feng paused for a moment as he recalled something: Carmen.
The fact that Carmen knew about the deal and even requested to be one of the participants in the slot.
Back then, he was somewhat exhausted mentally by the merged Colossus to take notice of it. Although he did ask how she came to know about it, Carmen avoided the question and he subsequently dropped the matter out of respect for her privacy.
‘Damn it… looks like I need to confirm things with her.’ Xu Feng narrowed his eyes and realized he had to go against his principles this time.

As he stepped forward and began to wield his staff, Zyron smirked coldly in response.
“Haha, what are you trying to do? Heal us or debuff us? You should stop wasting your effort if you are thinking about that.” Zyron jeered. “Our resistance is high and we can still move despite the restriction.”
“You’re right about one thing.” Xu Feng calmly said. “You can still move, but can you dodge?”
“What?”
Before Zyron could fully comprehend his meaning, Xu Feng unleashed his ultimate skill and consumed his entire Origin to nuke the crap out of Zyron and his team.
A glaring illumination shone toward them and their health bar quickly went from one hundred percent to zero percent.
“The formation doesn’t just restrict your movement, but it drains your resistance the more you’re inside the zone. I allowed you to stall because I didn’t want you to get away from the zone.” He muttered, and coldly watched all of them plopped to the ground, their loots scattered across.
With his equipment utilized in drop gear, Xu Feng made sure that these people would drop more items than the average numbers.
Sure enough, he received a lot of good gear, but while looting, he realized something.
“Hoh, they were really that confident huh.” He was amused and baffled by their confidence to not turn off the option of being revived by the enemies.
In other words, they never anticipated dying when they came to this plane.
