Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer - Chapter 908
Chapter 908: Fallen
As Carmen summoned numerous voidlings far from the center of the battlefield, Xu Feng activated Dark Pact twice to summon two Abyssal Phantoms.
The taunt skill wouldn’t work anymore, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t send anything to the front to distract the Slaughter Chainsaw.
Even though the Slaughter Chainsaw could ignore the summons, it was equivalent to being constantly pestered by mere pests. And in such a situation, one would usually choose to eliminate the pests first.
Unfortunately, Xu Feng was rather unlucky.
Almost as soon as he sent the Abyssal Phantoms forward, the Slaughter Chainsaw unleashed a Void Rejection Pulse.
With the pulse rejecting the Abyssal Phantoms, Xu Feng found himself to be silenced. Nevertheless, he wasn’t dejected or anything as he simply commanded the Abyssal Phantoms to rush to the front again.
After all, the pulse didn’t do damage, but merely pushed them away.
However, his eyes twitched when the Abyssal Phantoms had barely made a small advance when 4 phantom chainsaws emerged and sliced them apart.
If it had been only 2 phantom chainsaws maxed, Xu Feng could still heal the Abyssal Phantoms to remain on the battlefield.
But a whopping 4 random phantom chainsaws appeared and attacked precisely at where the Abyssal Phantoms were in?
What kind of chances was that?
He never won a lottery, but whenever it was something of misfortune, he was always the first to win it.
Like who was the one or people cursing him?
“Pfft,” Amidst Xu Feng’s dismay, Carmen couldn’t hold back her laughter and let out a small giggle. The scene was too tragic yet very comical in her eyes.
Just how unlucky could her Guild Leader get?
“Guild Leader,” she tried to call out to him and mention how her voidlings were just idle because there were no phantom chainsaws near it.
But before she could do so, Xu Feng raised his hand to halt her.
“Don’t even,” he declared, stating that he didn’t want to hear her teasing him at this moment. Frustration was an understatement at this point.
What kind of nonsense was the system prompt yapping about?
Targeting Lunar Wraith?
Was it positive that it didn’t misspell the name and it was supposed to be Lin Feng?
A few seconds later, Xu Feng snapped out of his frustration. He wasn’t going to be drowned in misfortune or complain or whine like a little kid.
“Carmen, you can proceed to chip it down. I’ll gather the aggro and keep it busy.” He declared and rushed ahead, choosing to face the Slaughter Chainsaw at melee range.
It wasn’t that he truly believed he was superior at melee range, but that he required the plant-like construct he had cast to grow even faster.
The path to victory was dependent on how much the plant would grow up to.
Moreover, by forgoing the summoned creates, the Slaughter Chainsaw’s Void Rejection Pulse would be useless toward him.
What could its pulse do to him alone?
Nothing!
Without the summoned creatures, the Slaughter Chainsaw could only dream on if it wanted to silence his skills.
Naturally, that didn’t mean things would become easier for Xu Feng as he now needed to constantly use Phantom Step stacked on top of Shadow Veil to be granted enough movement speed to dodge the Slaughter Chainsaw’s attack.

Shadow Veil was a Tier 1 skill that enveloped Xu Feng in shadows, increasing his evasion and movement speed by 20% for 10 seconds.
In other words, during these 10 seconds, Xu Feng needed to maximize his time to force the Slaughter Chainsaw to damage the plant.
While he continuously dodged, the Slaughter Chainsaw didn’t stop its wild swinging saw action in hopes of decapitating him in half.
Thankfully, Carmen wasn’t idle either and made sure to bring its health bar down to around 27%.
10 seconds quickly went by, and Xu Feng was caught off-guard by its sudden increase in attack speed.
‘Crap…’ Xu Feng gritted his teeth and cast a barrier right as the saw came at him horizontally.
CLANK!
The impact alone nearly caused him to shake heavily as he staggered a few steps backward.
“Guild Leader, are you alright?” Carmen quickly called out in concern. Nevertheless, she still continued to bombard the Slaughter Chainsaw. She managed to rotate her skills perfectly to constantly output damage.
However, the consequence was that her mana reserve was running quite low, even with all the buffs and recovery potions.
The fight had turned shabby, especially when the 6 phantom chainsaw appeared in front of Xu Feng.
“Now this is just unfair.” Xu Feng frowned and knew he was going to be a goner.
SLASH!
Sure enough, the 6 phantom chainsaw cut him down, causing his health point to drop to 0. Not even the Ultimate Will was able to save him, given that the 6 phantom chainsaws didn’t attack him simultaneously, but rather in a rhythmic manner.
When Carmen noticed Xu Feng had fallen to battle, she gnashed her teeth and unleashed her fury upon the Slaughter Chainsaw.
“The Guild Leader isn’t really dead, but I need to drop the boss’s health to 10%.” Carmen was determined. She wasn’t affected by Xu Feng’s death because she knew he had a self-revival spell as the last hidden trump card.
With only Carmen remaining, her damage seemed to have amplified from the absence of her teammate.
Soon, the Slaughter Chainsaw’s target had swapped to Carmen, but before it could charge ahead, its defenses faltered from the corrosion of the void energy that had long been embedded in its body.
THUD!
The Slaughter Chainsaw went down on one knee, feeling the brunt of the force raining down at it.
“Just in time!” Carmen sneered as she watched the Slaughter Chainsaw being stumped. She had long noticed its attack pattern and launched her spell perfectly to disrupt its attack, stunning him in the process.
She then canceled her Void Field, creating one more collapse and effectively bringing the Slaughter Chainsaw health bar to 10%.
At the same time, she glanced upward to check the time.
