Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer - Chapter 916
Chapter 916: Uproar
A pin-drop silence was released at the Braum Tavern. Everyone’s mouths were left agape as their eyes widened in complete disbelief. They had all come here, thinking it was a real emergency.
After all, OneManMedia had sent them an urgent message to gather immediately.
Thus, they were mentally prepared for something big.
However, they never mentally prepared for a piece of mind-boggling news like Xu Feng coming in and saying he would open the town for certain people in advance.
Although Xu Feng did mention that it would still be open after 3 days, all of them were at the top or management level. The things one could do receiving a 3-day advancement were enough to widen the gap.
Xu Feng saw all their dazed expressions and kept a calm smile on his face.
He was going to let them soak in on the news before continuing. After all, he doubted they would be able to listen based on their current state.
‘Those pests who still wanted to mess with us will now regret their actions.’ He thought to himself. As a petty person, he would never forget about the humiliation that he received from Green Life Corp.
Their Vegan Life Guild might have been disbanded, but most of the members who still had the traitor label went to the Bounty Tag Players’ side, most commonly known as Red Players.
Red Players were identified as criminals who operated beyond the city’s regulation and had their own set of forces. Since there were righteous NPCs, then there would naturally be evil NPCs lurking around.
Evil NPCs gladly welcome more Red Players into their faction. They stay hidden from the law enforcement NPCs but also function in many regions.
More importantly, the Green Life Corp had decided to create another guild called Green Life. It was as if they were afraid this guild wasn’t operated by them.
Now, with both players on the righteous and evil side, the Green Life Corp’s situation was actually very decent, prompting others to begin to sneer at Vanguard Guild’s action.
After all, Vanguard Guild had sworn to eradicate Green Life Corp, but now that the latter was flourishing even better. Xu Feng needed to do something, lest others might really take him for a joke.
“Where is the town located, Guild Leader Lin Feng?” Gentle Wind finally recollected her thoughts and raised the question. “Also, I’m certain that there must be some sort of fee if we want to enter in advance, right?”
Having interacted with him for a long time, Gentle Wind was positive that Xu Feng was never the type to hand out free lunches. He was the type to operate on equivalent exchange.
“A fee?” Xu Feng raised an eyebrow before chuckling. “Am I that much of a money grubber in your eyes, Guild Leader Gentle Wind?”
“Yes.” Gentle Wind responded almost immediately with a straight face. There was not even an ounce of doubt or skepticism contained in her eyes.
“…”
Speechless, Xu Feng tried to redeem himself as he turned to his fellow members. Upon being gazed at by him, all of them turned their heads around, except for Carmen.
Satisfied, he was pleased that at least there was one sensible member in his guild.
“I knew you wouldn’t look at me like that.” He smiled at Carmen.
“Oh,” Startled, Carmen quickly shook her head and explained, “I just don’t think you’re a money grubber. I think you are a butcher.”
“Butcher?” The others tilted their heads slightly when they heard Carmen’s words.
Only Xu Feng and Veronica understood the implication. Veronica naturally feigned deaf and glanced around.
As for Xu Feng, he cleared his throat and clasped his hands. “Anyway, all you need to do is join the Vanguard Chamber of Commerce for a small fee. Of course, the small fee could be waived if you agreed to sell half of the resources you gained while using our town’s facility.”
Gentle Wind and the others quickly twitched their mouths in disbelief.
No wonder his own guild member called him a butcher!
If this wasn’t trying to butcher them, then there were no butchers in the Divine World.
“How much is the small fee?” gentle Wind inquired. By now, the rest had seemed to unanimously appoint her as their representative in the conversation. After all, Gentle Wind had the closest business relationship with him, with only the Phoenix Guild falling slightly behind.

“Not much… just a thousand gold coins.” Xu Feng flashed a warm smile.
THUD!
The cup that Gentle Wind was holding dropped to the floor. She had lost her grip strength upon hearing that outrageous asking price.
“A thousand gold coins? Guild Leader Lin Feng sure knows how to joke.” She suppressed her anger and said jokingly. Naturally, she was on the verge of cursing him for being so black-hearted.
The money they lost from recruiting him in the previous Colossus siege had taken a big toll on them. Now, they were just barely back on the green, and Xu Feng wanted to swoop in and take another big chunk again?
How could he do that!
“Ah, right, I forgot to mention this. Silly me.” Xu Feng chuckled and scratched his head embarrassingly.
A few seconds later, his expression turned solemn as he revealed, “The town of our guild is located in Twilight Glades.”
“T-T-Twilight Glades?” Feeling extremely shocked, Gentle Wind had to perk her ears up and asked again to confirm.
“Yes, it’s that Twilight Glades you’re thinking about. There’s only one place that’s called Twilight Glades after all.” He spread his arms wide.
Besides Gentle Wind, the rest also became stunned before going into an uproar.
This kind of explosive information was definitely not something one should just casually reveal without giving them ample preparation.
“So, what will it be? Join my guild’s chamber of commerce or pay a thousand gold coins upfront. But keep in mind, those who aren’t a part of my chamber of commerce would receive zero discounts in the Haven Wind Town. They must pay full price, and I must say, the price isn’t exactly fair.” He grinned and gave them an ultimatum.
