Chapter 919: News Spread
While Xu Feng gave Gentle Wind and Flame Bird ample time to prepare for their visit to the rumored town, the others could only excuse themselves.

The Garak Forest’s situation remained unchanged, but it was clear that the affiliations were starting to differentiate.

Moreover, they found it awkward to remain in the tavern when the conversation was shifting to the town which they couldn’t partake in.

What the eyes and ears couldn’t see or hear, their heart wouldn’t bleed.

Xu Feng also understood their thought process and didn’t bother to say much as they all gave their own set of excuses to leave.

However, he made sure that before their foot left the tavern, he told Gentle Wind and Flame Bird.

“As Silver Rank members, you can request to purchase a Forsaken Set from us immediately. Of course, the price would be higher by 10% of the market price that we determined.”

Gentle Wind and Flame Bird were stunned by the sudden generosity. Without hesitation, they naturally placed the order immediately.

The others could only frown and feel a great rush of enviousness toward them.

Although Gentle Wind and Flame Bird knew that it was deliberate of Xu Feng to make the others regret their choices, they gladly welcome such deliberation in the future.

They had already signed the contract!

“How much is the Forsaken Set?” Gentle Wind asked. “Also, is it possible to borrow a few more on a loan?”

When Xu Feng heard that Gentle Wind wanted to rent some of the Forsaken Set aside from the purchasable one, his expression revealed a look of amusement.

‘Did she set her eyes on another dungeon?’ He wondered. Despite not knowing her intention, Xu Feng could only answer the first question.

“The Forsaken Set would be valued at 200 gold coins, but with your Silver Rank membership, the total cost would be 180 gold coins.” He revealed.

Naturally, this was a price unrelated to any auction bidding event. If it were to be auctioned, the set could easily go above 200 gold coins.

“Here’s 180 gold coins.” Gentle Wind hurriedly retrieved her fund and gave it to Xu Feng, clearly afraid of him reneging the words. Even though it was impossible for Xu Feng to suddenly change his mind, it was better to be safe than sorry.

Flame Bird also did the same after receiving the money transfer from Iceheart. As if she would pay later and risk having to pay a higher fee.

Both of them knew the Forsaken Set was destined to be of crazy value if auctioned off.

“I’ll have someone deliver it to you in a while.” Xu Feng said. The Forsaken Set was stored in their Guild Warehouse, but only certain people had access to it.

Just when Xu Feng was about to notify Crimson Heart, he realized Carmen was no longer at the tavern. He turned to Veronica for a response, only to see her spreading her arms. Her expression also indicated to him that she had left to probably retrieve the Forsaken Set.

It made sense though.

There was an unspoken rivalry clash between Carmen and Crimson Heart, so the former definitely didn’t want to see her coming to Garak City.

As this was happening, OneManMedia who was in charge of the media and news outlet for the Vanguard Guild, had already released the details of the Town’s Opening.

Attached to the Town’s Opening was the upcoming news of the Forsaken Set that would be auctioned for those who could make it to the town’s grand opening.

The news spread like wildfire and wherever it went, uproar and chaos consumed the scene.

To add to their astonishment, the post had a list of affiliations that were outright blacklisted and barred from even being eligible to join the new town.

Without much surprise, most of the listed affiliations were those who had clashed with the Vanguard Guild whether it was in the past or present.

Lethal Corp, Reaver Guild. MIST, Green Life, Malefic Order Guild, Astral Guild, and Sky Hunters Adventure Team were among those listed.

There were also a few additional names who made it to the list, and many knew they were the ones contesting with Vanguard Guild regarding the Garak Forest’s Qualification Profession.

“Ruthless! The Vanguard Guild is extremely brutal in their mannerism, but somehow I like it and approve of it!”

“But why is Malefic Order Guild listed in the Vanguard Guild’s blacklist? I thought they operated in a different plane.”

“Hah, were you living under a rock or something? This happened during the first major event, Siege of the Colossus.”

Some who were too busy with their real-life activity or too far in the activity around Dawnshire City remained unaware that the Malefic Order Guild had snuck into the Vanguard Guild’s operating plane and ambushed their Guild Commander.

No one knew where the news leaked, but it was said that the Malefic Order Guild was in cahoots with the Vegan Life Guild, now known as Green Life Guild.

However, many soon began to rush over to the Star Falls City to be the first to access the town that Vanguard Guild had constructed.

…

Garak City, Braum Tavern

As Xu Feng browsed through the Game Forum, he was looking at the trending post that was all about the Forsaken Set auction and the town’s grand opening.

“OneManMedia.” He suddenly called out.

“Yes, Guild Leader?” OneManMedia straightened his back and responded to his call.

“Have you discussed things with DataSeer?”

“DataSeer?” Initially confused, OneManMedia soon recalled the familiar name. Previously, DataSeer had gathered enough data and made a post regarding their Guild Commander Shadow Blade during the events of the major event.

After so much time had gone by, DataSeer entered their guild and quickly rose in rank through merit points of analysis.

DataSeer became a unique entity within the guild because he became an Elite Member through another method, which enticed many to start figuring out ways to prove their worth.

“What about DataSeer, Guild Leader?” OneManMedia scratched his head and was rather confused by the sudden mention of DataSeer.

“Seems like you haven’t discussed it with him. Otherwise, you would have spread the town’s location as well.” Xu Feng shook his head and commented.
