Chapter 115: Nice And Carefree

“I am trying my best, mom. But Nora is being..” she did not continue, but waited for her mother when she heard a sigh.

“Do not worry, I have a plan. You just wait and watch.” Penny felt much better after the phone call. But her eyes dimmed when Benard had still not replied. But then her eyes fell on the ten notifications she had received. They belonged to the posts she had made for Nora. it was not her real id but a hoax one she had made to slander Nora.

Surprisingly, it was getting more and more support. Especially from a strange girl in section D.

“Ha! She must be a back door student with no achievement in her name that is why she enjoyed slandering so much.” Penny’s lips curled up. As she opened the notifications. Many were notified of only the thumbs up and like people had offered. But she easily found the girl among them.

“Yes! Nora is only doing this to slander her sister!”

“Ha! If I had a sister like that, I would have disciplined her and locked her in my house.”

“She is so shameless not at all caring about the family who had taken her when she had no one to rely on.”

There was so much insult and harsh words that Penny’s mood improved a lot. Then she noticed the friend request the girl had sent to her. Penny hesitated for a second. But thinking that it was just her fake id, she accepted it.

“If a pawn wanted to walk toward me so that I could use her, how could I refuse as a kind girl!” Penny laughed. Many had sent her friend requests these days. All of them wanted to slander Nora and she had taken all of them under her wings.

“I have to accept, Nora had a heaven defying luck when it comes to making enemies.” Penny giggled when the number of her friends on fake Id rose to seventy two. Seventy two people were standing against Nora with her. Now she had a large army to slander Nora.

Finally she received a message and her eyes glimmered.

“Meet me at the Four Seasons on Saturday night, 6pm.” The message was short but she did not care. Now that she knew her mistake, she would soon convince this man to love her.

When she returned to the class. Many were already sitting and studying. The teacher was absent so they were doing self study. Penny packed her bags to leave for her room. She had asked her mother to have a background check of that girl too.

But before she could leave, she noticed Penny talking to Victor again and her lips curled.

She walked straight toward Victor and extended her hands.

“Hey! My mother called me just now. She told me that you are coming to our house for dinner.” The class went silent. Everyone looked at Nora who went silent at once. It should have been her house too. But everyone knew that Nora had left her house. She had nowhere to go except this dorm.

Yet she was missing last weekend. There was a rumor that she was with Victor. And now, Victor has been invited to the family?

“I am not going anywhere.” Victor announced with a frown. Penny blinked but did not seem to be offended by his actions. She gently smiled at Nora and gave her a knowing look.

“That is alright. My mother asked me to be friendly to you.” Penny shrugged and left, holding her bags tightly in her hands.

Her humiliation had turned into hatred for Nora. Victor had always been neutral to the whole class. That was why he was the idol of everyone. But now he had chosen Nora to such lengths that he was being rude to others. Many stared at Nora with hatred.

“That was..”

“Forget her! You should pay more attention to your studies. Now that you are leading our school in the pretest, I want you to rank first in the inter school competition too. Can you do that for me?” The last two words were useless! Nora was only doing this for herself. And she knew important topics already. Though she did not remember all the questions, she barely remember what was asked and she had already done post graduation so this level of study was too easy for her.

“Now go study, do not waste your time over foolish quibbles.” he patted her shoulders where her eyes narrowed. But she nodded and left too.

She heard noises behind her. But she did not care. Her friend request was finally accepted. She could not be any happier.

Just as Nora reached her room, she heard noises from inside and frowned. A girl with her hair colored red and golden was jumping on her bed with loud music in the background.

Her dress was a strange rustic red color and her ears were pierced thrice. She did not pause when she saw Nora walking toward her.

“You are my new roommate?” Nora knew the girl. She was Emma from section D. A backdoor student with rebellious nature. If only she had any goodness in her. She was known for creating troubles and making a scene all over the school. Megan must have chosen her intentionally to share a room with her.

The girl sneered at Nora thinking she would be angry. But Emma was surprised to see Nora was still smiling. She had placed her books down and was sitting on her bed now with a book in her hand. She did not seem to mind the loud music in the background that stunned Emma.

She jumped from her bed and walked toward Nora. there was no way that the girl did not care at all. But she noticed earplugs in Nora’s ears and sneered. She went to the speaker and increased its volume to the highest.

“Even I want to see how long you can act nice and carefree.”
