Chapter 131: The Viral Video

“Why did we accept the request? What if Mr Summers realizes our trick? I do not want to ruin my impression in the class.” Penny hissed with narrowed eyes.

Emma looked around. She had been in the school for two years, yet she did not know that there was a secret closet on the third floor. She should be ashamed of her skills. Penny’s continuous complaints were not helping her mood at all.

“That is enough!” Three words and Penny went silent at once. Yet she glared more viciously.

“You wanted a stage to perform a show. I only thought more spectators would be better. You can blame the mistake on the computer operator or so.

If the teacher asks, tell them an anonymous person sent you the footage and blackmailed you. You paid a hefty sum to cover your sister’s mistake or something like that. You have only kept a copy so that you could explain to your parents later where you have spent the money.

Or you have accidentally forgotten to delete the video.” Emma shrugged as she checked the door. It did not open my eyes. She nodded with a look of satisfaction in her eyes.

Penny bit her lips on the other side. As long as it works, Nora would fall in a ditch. And then there would be no recovery.

“If you are so scared, you should not do it.” Emma but Penny Viciously. “Let Nora participate and win again. She would go to nationals then and win the glory for our country. Then you would never be able to reach her. She and you.. Would be in a different realm. While she would be interviewed by famous news channels, you would sit and curse her from your home.” Emma whispered softly as she noticed Penny’;s eyes going red.

It was so easy to play with the girl. As long as it is about hurting Nora, she would be ready. If only she had worked so hard in improving her marks. Emma shook her head. Penny was talented. But not even once she thought of defeating Nora by her hard work. This kind of vicious mind would never let Penny achieve success. But what if she was motivated? Emma frowned and then added,

“Or… you can work hard and get that position for yourself. If your sister can work hard, you can too.” Penny frowned at her once as if the spell was broken. She scowled at Emma.

“What do you know! I work hard everyday and I will get in the top ten this time too. But Nora.. she could not be there. How could an orphan and leech who had lived all her life depending on us dare to defeat me?

If my family would not have been there, she would have starved herself to death a long time ago. And now.. She was trying to snatch my future. And you want me to work hard and ignore her? Her eyes widening for a second before going normal.

“I will not give up until I ruin her completely so that she knows where she belongs and will stay there forever.” Penny’s eyes were glowing with pure hatred.

Emma only sneered looking at her righteous speech.

“Then you should be brave enough to take the risk.” she whispered in her ears and this time Penny nodded with determination.

“Yes, I will take the risk.” she nodded and then glared at Emma again, “but the success depends on you. Are you sure you have the clip? Why don’t you show me now?” She had asked Emma twice but the girl was making excuses.

What if it was all a prank prepared by Emma and nothing happened at that time. Then she would have no time left to stop Nora from participating.

“Tch! You do not trust me.” Emma clicked her tongue but she still took out her mobile and played a video.

In the video, Nora was writing a test paper while sitting in the class. But since the video was made stealthily, no other person could be seen in the class including the teacher. So they could not guess which test it was.

Nora looked around and when she noticed no one was there, she played with the nail attached on her bench and slowly took it out. The nail came out easily. A paper slip was folded around it neatly.

Nora bit her lips and looked around. After taking a few breaths, she slowly opened the slip and started writing the test paper again. Her eyes wandered on the slip in between. Penny held the phone tightly but Emma paused the video and pulled the mobile from Penny’s hands.

“Are you sure now?” Penny was! But she was not going to accept it. She frowned and shook her head.

“It is too vague. We did not even have the teacher scolding others or any other student in the class. What if they did not believe it?” Emma nodded seriously, making Penny ecstatic. If the girl brought more proof, Nora would be ruined forever.

“Then we can decide not to use it. I am not gaining from this deal anyway. I will not hear scolding for doing charity.” Emma placed the mobile back in her pocket and held the knob for leaving.

Penny bit her lips. She held Emma’s shoulders.

“No, we will make it work. I will think of something.” she did not notice how Emma’s lips curled into a sneer.

“Good!” Emma pushed her palm away from her shoulders, ready to leave again. Penny frowned at the arrogance of the girl, but endured it.

“Then, send me the video. I will copy it on my laptop later.” Penny asked for the phone again but Emma shook her head.

“No, I will manage that. I do not trust you enough to give the video to you.”
