Chapter 136: Last Minute Changes

Penny held Kate’s arm as they walked into the room. A few students had come in advance to get a better place. After all, the whole school is talking about it. They have heard that Penny had contacted a renowned teacher hired by the principal. He had been introduced to the top ten students to help them in studying.

“Then she solved those exams by herself and asked for more. Other students were only able to get one test series because they could not solve other test series. But Penny had solved all of them. She must have worked day and night.” a girl expressed with fawning expressions when Penny passed them.

Penny turned and smiled at the girl, making the girl giddy.

A few of them frowned and thought that it was too exaggerated. But exams were coming and Penny had guaranteed that they could be part of the merit list if they followed these questions so they had no choice but to endure.

Most of the room was filled by either too studious students who wanted to earn extra marks or weak students who wanted notes to get pass in all the exams.

But they were the most popular ones. Penny’s eyes gleamed just by looking at them. Two young girls had filled a table with various snacks already.

Penny stood in the center of the room.

“I have never thought that many of you would come. I was only expecting a dozen students who did not want me to feel bad. But thank you, all of you who have come so far to support me. My mother had sent some snacks she had cooked personally for all of you. Please enjoy them while I make final arrangements. We will start with a language subject.” The two girls brought the snacks on the trolley and passed the snacks so that students would not waste time.

Many nodded and looked at the penny with appreciation. She had taken care of everything so well.

The door was opened and many students were entering the room one by one. But Penny’s eyes widened when she noticed a particular girl entering the class.

Nora walked forward while EMma followed her like her guard. They scanned the room and took the two empty seats in the fourth line. Everyone turned to look at Nora with a frown. Who did not know that Nora had accused Penny of hurting her. Since then sisters have never been spotted together.

“Nora..” Penny had finally asked her shock and smiled at Nora. “I never thought that you would come too. If you needed notes, you could have come to my room anytime. After all, we are sisters.” Penny left the podium and ran to Nora as if she could not wait to hug her. But she was stopped by Kate.

“Penny you do not know that she was insulting you just this morning. She could not have any good intentions for coming here.” Kate looked at Penny with a worried face and then glared at Nora. Nora queried a brow and laughed. She looked at so much ease as if she was here for a good show.

“Right! She had accused you so many times. How could you still be kind to her?” a girl asked many questions. Soon the room was full of whispers and comments.

“Relax everyone!” It was Emma who stood up. She was wearing a tight black dress that ended up on her thighs and used red lipstick. Her hair was open and falling on her shoulders. She looked seductive like always.

Though she was famous for being a bad girl. Her looks had always earned her stares whenever she went.

“I thought that everyone in the class was invited. So i have brought my roommate too. She is only sitting here like others. Could you please ignore her and concentrate on your own study?” Her words earned a frown from many.

As if they have been accused of being noisy. They all started rebuking. But Penny walked closer and stood in front of Nora.

“Why are you all making a noise? She is my sister and I want her to attend. If anyone had issues with her, they could leave.” she glared at all of them. “Although she had accused me of injuring her last time. But since she had taken a step to reconcile, I could not ignore her. After her parents death, she had only us to rely on. Past days, I was so worried for her. I am so happy that you have come back.” she finally turned to Nora and smiled at her. She took a step closer to hug Nora. But Nora took a step back.

She was there to act but just with the thought of hugging Penny made her nauseated.

“I..”

“I am only here to see what special notes you have since I have also made some. There is nothing personal in it. If you want me to leave, I will. I did not know so many were interested in me to create such a fuss!” Nora especially eyed Kate with a chuckle. Kate fumed, she wanted to rebuke but Penny held her hands and shook her heads.

“They all are my friends and are worried about me, Nora. I am lucky that I have all of them in my life.” her eyes glistened but she blinked and stared at the ceiling. Many felt bad for her even when she had scolded them and took Nora’s side. They did not feel bad. They knew that Penny was caring. If not, she would not have been crying.

“Alright!” Penny’s voice choked. “Let’s get started. It would take hours to finish all those notes.” she lowered her head as she walked toward the podium. Kate glared at Nora and followed Penny closely.

Emma grinned and pulled Nora back on her seat. Everyone only glared at her before taking out their notebooks or adjusting their mobile cameras.

“Why did you insist on coming? I was even surprised with the last minute change.”
