Penny had dragged Ethan behind the stage. She did not care what others would think as she locked the door and then glared at the man.

“Though I am relieved that they did not pursue the matter of the footage. How did it change to mine?” Penny glared at Ethan with hatred. “And what kind of reaction was that! What if it had been Nora’s video? Would they have brushed it aside too? I have paid so much for all this just to end up in this mess. What should I do, not Ethan?” she cried and leaned on the man. Her eyes were hot with tears.

The man stiffened under her touch and she smirked. She knew what effect she had on this young boy. She felt his fingers on her waist and her smirk grew wider.

Ethan sighed!

“This is not the time to discuss all this. If you hide in this room for a long time, they will doubt you. It would be better if you return and explain the notes.” though he said so, he did not let go of her waist.

Penny bit her lips. She looked so vulnerable that he felt bad for her.

“Penny!” he almost growled when the girl shuddered and rubbed herself against his body.

“I do not know. There were so many notes. You have solved all of them. And this humanities part is done by you. Even if I go on stage, I would not be able to explain them.” she sniffled and covered her face with her hands. Her shoulders quivered making him sigh.

“You mean.. Penny! I thought you read the notes thoroughly today! How were you going to explain them in the first place?” He tried so hard to suppress his anger. If the plan failed, then Mr Stone would not make him a permanent staff member. His future depends on today’s plan.

Even if he had a thing for Penny, he would not let her ruin his future.

“I have prepared the first two files. I thought then Nora’s video would play on the screen and we will not continue notes. I will create a scene and then disperse all of them so that they do not gossip. While in reality I want them to accuse Nora too and gossip about her all the way to their dorms or houses.

But who would have thought!” Penny felt her chest heaving with anger. “Who could do it? Only you and Kate had access to my computer except me. I have saved the video myself and adjusted it between the files. Then how did this happen Ethan?” The girl stared at him with doubt and he felt a headache building in.

How was he supposed to know the answer? But he knew he could not shout at Penny or she would create a scene.

“Penny, we can talk about all these matters later. But it is very important that you return to the state and complete this project. Not only that will show you are confident and have nothing to hide. But it will also show your intellect. You need that kind of image. I..” he looked at her hair and pulled the pin out of them.

Her eyes narrowed and she raised a brow but she did not stop him when he played with her hair. Then he took out a bluetooth and attached it to her ears. It was so small that it was completely hidden by her hair.

“There, I will call you and whisper all the notes while sitting here and looking at your screen. You can repeat my words and everyone would believe that you are explaining them. Can you do that?”

Penny looked at him with her hands clenched into a fist. She knew he was right. If she did not return, the gossip would soon start and it would not be Nora receiving it.

Nora! It was strange that the girl had come. It must have been planned by her! Hatred burnt her chest. She could not let Nora win. She could not let her go unscathed.

“I will do that. But I want you to do something about Nora too. If she left the room with a smile, I would not be able to bear it.” the man frowned. What could he do? But looking at Penny, he knew that she would not go if he refused.

“Yes, I will think of a way for you.” Only then did Penny smile and adjust the bluetooth in her ears and leave the room with confidence.

When the door opened, she heard many voices.

“If she was innocent, why did she run away?” her grip on the door tightened. These ungrateful students.

They are all here because of her. They have eaten the food given by her and now they are reading the notes she had paid for! Yet they all dared to badmouth her. How she wanted to burn all of them to teach a lesson. But she forced a smile on her face as she walked into the room.

“Penny!” Kate was standing at the podium and trying to explain but she was not good at this job. When she found Penny walking toward the Podium, she felt so relieved and hugged the girl.

“Later, Kate. we have a job to complete.” Penny forced the girl away. Ethan could not betray her. Then it only meant that Kate was… how she wanted to question kate. But she could not ruin her image further.

Kate felt that Penny’s grip was too tight. But she shook her head. It must be anxiety. Penny still had the courage to return. Others might have run away already.

Penny smiled at the crowd even when she could hear insults. She could not let others win. Not at all!
