“Ah!” Emma had covered her face already with a mask and her hair had hid behind the cap. “Who are you and what are you doing here?” She shouted hard, startling Ethan further and ran to him. “So you are the one who changed the video. You want to soil her image!” she charged at him.

Ethan took a step back. He was a scholar and computer expert. He never trained in combat. He took a step back to avoid the attack but in the end Emma tilted and placed her hand on his pocket.

He frowned and pushed her away. But she took a step back before he could touch her. But this time, she had taken his phone with her.

Her eyes gleamed when she noticed the on going call. And without any hesitation. She cut the call.

“What the hell! Return my mobile right now.” he screamed and lunged at her. “I do not hurt girls but I will not spare you if you test my patience.” Emma wanted to laugh. Even Damon thought twice before challenging her when she was in the mood to break something. Yet this lean, hero looking boy was threatening her. Good, very good! She would teach him a lesson for free.

“Come, who is stopping you?” she cracked her knuckles and grinned. Even though her vicious grin was hidden by the mask, Ethan could feel the danger.

He looked around, not knowing what to do.

“Penny, are you alright?” Penny drank the whole glass in one gulp but her coughing did not stop. Because if it did, she had to speak again but the call was already cut. What could she speak? They were on the last page of this file. But even if she changed it somehow, she did not know what was in the second one or the one after that! She was doomed.

“I.. am alright. I think I need to go to the restroom.” she blushed announcing it on the stage but covered her stomach with her hands.

Something was off. She was speaking so perfectly before. Then she sprouted something strange and started coughing. Now she wanted to leave the stage?

A few frowned but others just nodded as they did not notice anything.

Penny slightly bowed toward them and walked toward the back door where the office was but Nora stood up.

“Penny! Do not go there. The flush is not working.” Everyone stared at her strangely. They did not know what Nora was doing? Had she come here to reconcile with Penny and was using reasons to get her attention?

“The one in the adjacent room is fine. I went there earlier. Come, I will accompany you.” Kate stood up and held Penny’s shoulder while glaring at Nora.

“It is fine. This one is working too. I went there earlier.” Penny said with unease. Nora had done something. She wanted to burn this girl alive. But in front of so many people, she could not lose her patience. “If we leave the room, it would waste everyone’s time and I am in a hurry too.” her voice was soft, embarrassed and nervous.

“Yes, of course. I will come with you.” Kate nodded but Penny paused.

“No, no! I am not a kid. How could I ask someone to come with me to the restroom? ” She elbowed Kate to let her go but Kate was reluctant.

She was sure Nora had planned something. She was feeling uneasy for a long time as if something was wrong but she could not point out what it was.

“Penny, i have gone there too. It was full of a nasty smell. I am sure no one will mind if you take one more minute or so.” Nora repeated like a caring girl. “You can go anywhere else and take as many people as you want if you think I am trapping you.” Nora’s voice trembled in the last sentence.

Everyone looked at her oddly. It would be wise if she apologized to Penny. After all, she was dependent on her family. Many were sure that she was putting a kind act to reconcile.

“It is fine! You came late. How did you even get the chance to use this washroom.” Penny gritted her teeth and glared at Nora. “I do not know why you are stopping me. But as I said, it is urgent.” Penny pushed Kate and ran to the backdoor. Her actions stunned everyone for a second.

Kate blinked too.

“Haha! She had been speaking for a long time and drinking a lot of water. She must be in a hurry.” Kate laughed softly and many started whispering to each other.

About notes, about Nora’s weird behavior and about Penny.

“Of course, she could not trust Nora. the girl had betrayed Penny twice already.” someone spoke out loud and everyone nodded.

But Nora did not mind. She only sighed and shook her head slightly and sat back on her seat. It left everyone in confusion.

Soon, Emma walked inside from the main door. She walked beside Nora and sat down.

“It was a phone call!?” Emma laughed as it was not even a question but when she noticed that Penny was not in the room, she frowned.

“What if they used Penny’s phone to make another call? Why did you let her go?” then all her hard work would be a waste.

“I have not knocked out the guy. I have just broken his mobile and even took the sim out when i came. And when he tried to chase me, I jumped out of the window and came back.” She sound worried now,. “What if Penny..”

“I don’t believe you.” Nora tilted her head lazily. “You did not hurt the man at all?” Okay, she did! But how did Nora know about it.

Emma cleared the throat and her guilty conscience. She had twisted his arm enough to hurt. But she had not harmed him seriously in case it was used as an excuse letter.

“And Penny did not have her phone with her. She had no phone at all.”
