Chapter 147: Who Is Your Lover?

Everyone stared at Penny with unease! They have the same thought in their minds. If they could get both notes, they could compare. But there was no way they could take both boats at once.

But when Mike left, a few eyes sparkled.

“Do you think Nora has notes! She had cheated in those exams. She knows nothing.” Penny spat with venom in her voice. “Has Alex asked you to do this with me? Had he lost his mind to support Nora so much.” Her grip on her notebook was so tight that the pages started to crumble under her pressure.

Mike looked amused. When he turned to look at her again, his hostility was gone and his lips curled into a lopsided grin.

“Think whatever you want! Who does not know how Alex is! Do you think your words are valuable now?” He rolled his eyes and went to Nora’s seat.

The girl was writing notes with earbuds in her ears. As if the class had nothing to do with her. Mike tapped her seat. Only then did she raise her head and took out earbuds from her ears.

“I heard that you have notes for the upcoming exam? My friend got selected too. Can you help us?” Though he was still demanding, his voice was not vicious like before. Nora’s eyes went red as Nora turned to look at her.

Those eyes had mockery in them.

“Of course, give me your email, I will send them to you.” she took out her mobile instantly. Many stared at the scene with anticipation. As long as Nora shared with one of them, they did not need to ask her again.

“Ding!” a tone announcing that new emails had been received. Mike checked his phone and opened the email from Nora.

“Thank you, Nora. I owe you one.” he smiled at her before passing his mobile to his girlfriend. The girl bit her lips. She had been in the training ground today and refused to team up with Nora but now she was getting her notes.

“I.. Thank you.” Nora nodded at them and placed her earbuds back in her ears. She started writing something. Only then did they realize she was studying in the class when they were wasting time.

Their eyes moved to the girl again. She was still scrolling her notes but her eyes had lit up and she looked like she wanted to jump and dance.

“Thank you. Thank you Nora.” The girl screamed with joy and bowed her head, startling everyone. They have seen and copied Penny’s notes. And most of them know that questions are important. But most of the teachers in the class had already given many of those questions and solved them on the board already.

They did not feel so lucky. They just felt they did not need to work and compile those notes themselves.

That girl, Alisha, was a topper. For her to express so much appreciation, they all felt green with envy and greed. Those notes! They must be better than what Penny was providing.

If they could come to this conclusion, how could Penny not. She bit her lips hard enough to bleed. Her eyes were filled with hatred.

“Since I have promised, I will definitely complete my promise.” Penny did not give them softcopy but took out printed notes from her bag. “I was worried that you would waste so much time on your screen and hurt your eyes. So I have printed them for you.” She takes out five sets of notes.

Only then did she blink and look at her. But she did not see any happiness in their eyes. As if the notes did not hold much value.

“Thank you!” it was so dry and bland that Penny clenched her hands into a fist as she nodded at them.

They picked up the notes and left her alone. But she could hear whispers behind her. She heard Nora’s name.

A girl walked toward Alisha and passed Penny’s notes to her. Penny wanted to refuse, but she stopped. She wanted Alisha to thank her too. Alisha raised a brow and took the notes. She flipped a few pages before shaking her head and refusing.

“I already have enough notes. I do not need more. I will not have time to study all of them.” She declined politely and opened her notebook. But everyone can see that she was checking Mike’s phone.

“Ha! It is all because Alex wanted to support her. I know that they are dating. I do not care if he wants to protect his girlfriend. But does he need to slander me for that!” Penny could not handle it anymore. She glared at Alisha and then at Mike.

“Who is dating who?” Victor stood up and stared at Penny instead of questioning Nora.

“I have ignored the rumors you and your friends spread on social media since I do not have any proof against you. But if I see you spouting nonsense in the class, then I will take action.” This was the first time they have seen Victor questioning someone coldly.

Most of the time he had a sweet smile on his face. His voice was very gentle. His cold gaze stunned many students. They all stared at the victor with shock.

But Penny only snickered. She had been waiting for this confrontation for a long time. If Nora thought that she could enjoy both of them, then she was a fool.

“Why? Who does not know that Nora spent all the weekends with Alex. Not only that, he had protected her many times. An aloof boy like Alex is caring so much about Nora, and you think it is just friendship? Ha! If you do not believe me, you can ask Mike.” Mike frowned when Penny pointed at him.

He did not want to meddle in Alex’s affairs. But when he noticed Victor’s piercing gaze, he felt like Alex needed support here.

“Who am I to claim it? Ask Nora if she is dating Alex or not!”
