“Do you know him?” Victor noticed Nora was staring at Alric’s leaving back before the elevator started moving again.

“He is Alex’s elder brother. He has shares in the pharma company on the tenth floor in this building. I heard that he comes here often these days.”

“He is the owner of Elites Pharmaceuticals company?” her eyes widened! That company was going to be the top most company after the launch of their new medicines for migraines, headaches and pain relief. In the future, their company would find better treatment for cancer too. She had taken many medicines that belonged to them but she never knew.

“No! He is just a shareholder. The owner of the company is a woman. But no one knew who she was! She always wore a mask and had too much security around her. My father tried to invite her to social gatherings, but she always sent her secretary.” Nora nodded, suddenly losing interest in the conversation.

“Anyways, what did Langdon say about the project?”

“She rejected it!” Nora replied flatly but looking at him nodding, she realized he already knew it.

“Well, there was a meeting on the weekend when you could not make it. Many believe that you have taken all the famous characters from famous games. It would need a lot of compensation for the copyright. If the game failed, it would be a big failure. Langdon had said that she would talk to you about it. I am looking for the solutions too.

But you are right, the game would not make any sense if all the characters were changed. And we need a lot of advertisements too then. Lets see what we can do for now.” he opened the door for her.

As the car started, she noticed that they were not going toward school.

“Where you can relax and we think of solutions.” he raised his brow at her. “Or you do not enjoy my company but only like to go with Alex.” Nora sighed and shook her head.

“Alex is a friend. I have never felt something for him. Neither did he look at me that way. I am just a way to irk his family and he is just a way to protect me from my aunt.” Victor’s grip tightened on the steering wheel.

“In the future, do not borrow the power of others to protect yourself, I will be there to protect you.” Nora flinched at his reply. She closed her eyes to hide her guilt.

She knew his intentions and she felt indebted.

“Nora..”

“Victor! What if I have stolen the game idea from someone else?” Before Victor could say something, she cut his words and asked for it.

“The video game you sold to my family?” he titled his head, not sure about her words or his interpretation of them. “If it is not yours, who does it belong to?”

Nora looked away. Victor stopped the car and looked at her.

“Nora, you need to tell me this. You and my company might face trouble if that person complains.” His voice was still calm but she could feel the storm building in. The road was deserted. It must be too late to run away.

She inhaled a deep breath and faced him.

“He would not. He could not. It is a long story. But the person had not designed the game yet. He had shared the idea with me once. It was his dream and I took it. Yes, I changed a few things here and there but the idea belongs to him completely. It is cheating. In the start, I only took it to help myself financially. But recently, I am feeling more and more indebted.
