Chapter 165: She Is Lucky!

“Jamie! Your fan is here!” a boy pointed at the door when they heard Lucy’s voice. Jamie cursed in his heart but then he noticed the strange reaction on his friend’s face and frowned.

“Holy shit! Is she lucky!” the boy stood up. Jamie turned in confusion when he was cut like that. But his eyes widened and his lips parted. His jaws hit the ground and he started drooling. Looking at the girl.

“Damn! I can not believe that she is wearing the same clothes as me yet she managed to look like that! Is she even Lucy I know!” his friend mumbled with an awestruck look.

Jamie glared at his friend and elbowed his chest.

“She is here for me.” he announced in a proud voice before walking to the door.

“Lucy! You have changed your hairstyle!” not only her hair, but she had changed completely. He could not believe it was her.

“Yes, do you like it? My mother brought me shopping yesterday. And took me to a spa too. We have a lot of fun. It is just bad that you are busy with your exam preparation or we could have gone out to have a cup of coffee. Adam, are you free today?” Lucy looked behind Jamie. Adam, who was warned by Jamie, stood up instantly and nodded.

“You know that I am not that smart when it comes to studying. So I do not spend so much time cramming. I am free whenever you want.” he smiled goofily and ran to Lucy. “I know a perfect place for a hangout if you want to come.” his eyes sparkled with joy when Lucy laughed and nodded.

“Alright, then I will see you after my classes.” she smiled back at Jamie. But when Jamie took a step closer. She looked at her watch.

“Aah! It is already too late. I will see you later at the practice then?” Jamie wanted to say something. But in the end, he only nodded.

But once Lucy left, he glared at Adam. “don’t you dare go out with her. She is my girlfriend.” he warned only for Adam to raise a brow and laugh.

“Dude! Are you serious? Whole team knows that she had liked you for a long time but you never accepted her feelings. Now that she looks so stunning, you want to claim her! Ha! She had asked me out, I will go. Do what you can.” Adam pushed Jamie’s hands away from his shoulders and walked out.

Jamie gritted his teeth and kicked the bench with rage.

“Lucy! How dare you do that!” he glared at the door as if he could still see Lucy standing there.

Lucy did not return to the class where Penny was waiting for her. She did not go to the canteen where Jamie was searching for her.

She went to the washroom and stared at herself in the mirror. It had been such a long time since she had looked like that.

She had forgotten that she was beautiful. Because of that one accident. If Nora is right and Penny is behind. Her hands clenched on her dress.

She would know in a week what is true! She gulped and ignored the fast beating of her heart. It was not the time to feel afraid.

“I am not that young girl anymore!” she whispered to her reflection in the mirror.

When she returned, the recess had ended and it was sports period. When she walked toward the changing room where other cheerleading girls were waiting for her, she heard them whistling.

“Gosh! Lucy, I thought you were so dense that you never realized your bizarre hairstyle and poor dressing sense. Finally, you have learnt some skills.” a girl cheered instantly.

Lucy rolled her eyes and opened her locker when other girls surrounded her too.

“Did you notice how everyone was just looking at you or talking about you? Did they never notice how sexy you look in your cheerleading dress.” a girl wrapped her hand around her shoulders. Others started speaking too when a girl snorted and closed her locker.

“What are you talking about? She looks like a slut in those clothes. Do you need to be a exhibtionist to get attention? I was feeling embarrassed at your expense, Lucy.” The girl looked at Lucy as if she cared about her.

“I know right. Their gazes were hungry as if they were looking at a piece of flesh. Lucy, I thought you are a reserved and elegant girl from a distinguished family. But you surprised me today.” another girl shook her head. They were her friends.

They have been with her for a long time. She stared at them and then the girls who had praised her. They have taken a step away from Lucy. their eyes dimmed and they looked away.

“I am wearing pants, not a short skirt like other girls. What is wrong with my attire? And is it an exhibition not to dye my hair again?” she asked sweetly. The girls would have believed that she was insulting them if not for her innocent look. After all, they were wearing short skirts.

They heard a muffled laughter and glared at the other girl.

“Lucy! Are you targeting us because we care for you? If you do not want to listen to us, then don’t. At least don’t insult us.” They looked away hiding their faces. But inside, they were sneering.

They knew Lucy too well. She was simple and easily believed by others. It was easy to manipulate her. They were lucky that they would apologize to them. But Lucy did not speak.

When they turned to look. Lucy had already taken out her uniform from her locker. And without sparing them another glance, she went to the changing room. They stared at the closed door dumbfounded when they heard another laughter.

“What is it, Mary! Do you want to fight us?” They glared at the provoking girl but Mary only snorted and went to her changing room. The girls looked at each other with a worried expression.

“What do we tell Penny now?”
