Chapter 170: She Was A Monster!

Nora’s eyes narrowed. She took out her phone and walked away. Penny frowned and looked at Nora in confusion. That was not what she was expecting. She had already gathered a crowd. If she would fail now!

“Nora.. you can not hurt me just because Alex knew your truth.” she shouted at the top of her lungs making Nora pause. But the call had already been connected.

“What are you talking about?” Nora realized this was not as simple as a confrontation. But it was already too late.” Penny slapped herself hard and then ran to Nora. she held Nora’s hand and pushed herself to the wall intentionally.

“Nora! I will die this way.” but before she could shout, Nora pulled her hands away and stood too far from Penny.

Her shout had brought a lot of spectators. They looked at the blood coming from Penny’s forehead and her miserable state and then at Nora who was standing too far away. Something was off!

Penny stumbled and fell on the ground. Her knees gave out. She looked miserable. Her hair was disheveled and her forehead was swollen with a little scratch that was bleeding.

“Why did you do this to me?” she wailed with a pitiful look on her face. Many girls ran to her and helped her.

“Are you alright? Come, we will take you to the doctor.” They tried to hold her. But Penny shook her head and struggled.

“No, this fight had been stretching for too long. Nora..” she looked at Nora with a gut wrenching look. Tears spilled from her eyes and her chest heaved. But she wiped them with her sleeves and stared at Nora again. “Tell me! Why do you hate me so much? Just three months ago, we were like best friends. But now, you hate me so much that you want to kill me! Why?” her voice shook in the end. Full of emotions, she looked so vulnerable that more people went to help her.

But still a large crowd was just standing there. As if they were waiting for Nora’s reply before making a decision.

Nora sighed and rolled her eyes. She did not look worried at all but vexed as if she was handling a moody child.

“You mean I hit you on the wall?” Nora laughed mockingly. “Yet, I am standing too far away while you are glued to the wall as if you wanted to be one with it? If I had forced you on the wall, should I not be standing behind you to make sure that you hurt yourself?

And I let you go the moment you hurt yourself? How could it be possible that I ran to such a distance yet you are still sticking to the wall without a hint of struggle or desire to save yourself from the pain?” Nora snickered with a look of disdain.

Many blinked.

“I knew there was something wrong from the start. So, did she hurt herself to frame her sister?” a boy slapped his own thigh in excitement and nodded as if he had finally solved a riddle.

The other looked at the scene and then at Penny with an odd expression.

“She has been doing it for a long time now. I wonder why?

“The sisters are a show, I tell you! You will never get bored around them!”

“But this is! Isn’t it too ruthless? How could someone hurt herself so much?” a few girls gasped.

Soft whispers turned more and more louder as everyone expressed their views. A cold glint flickered in Penny’s eyes when she punched the girl sitting beside her. The dumbfound girl looked at Penny and gulped.

But before anyone noticed, Penny covered her wounds and bit her lips. She looked so vulnerable at that moment. The girl softly gulped and glared at Nora again.

“You are a sprinter. You smashed me on the wall and then ran away before I could catch my balance. And you are accusing me? Do you think i am suicidal! Everyone saw how good you are at sports. No one will believe your bunch of lies.” Penny sniffed and covered her face with her both hands to hide her tears. But her shoulders still quiverd and soft sobs could be heard by everyone. The girl’s stiff body finally relaxed and she covered her arms around Penny to support her and hissed at Nora.

They stared at Nora and then at Penny.

“Ha! She must have run away after hurting her to save herself. Look at Penny’s wound! How could a weak girl like her hurt herself so badly.” the girl supporting Penny hissed as she glared at Nora.

Penny hugged the girl and hid her face on her shoulders.

“Thank you! At least someone still trusts me.” Penny sniffled only for Nora to laugh.

“Yes, because I have not shown the proof yet.” Nora’s eyes flickered when she saw the name on the screen. She had forgotten that she had called him and now he had heard everything.

Without hesitation, she cut the call and opened the recording section.

“I knew something was fishy when you came here. So I have started recording on my phone. I have proof of what happened, Penny.”

“…..” the crowd went silent. Everyone stared at Nora as if she was a monster. The fight must have been intense. How could she get the chance to record anything?

But if she had really recorded, then it meant she had not harmed Penny. Or who would she confess to?

“Good! I knew that my theory could not be wrong. No one can hurt others from such a distance. Show the proof to all of them and shut their mouth at once.” the boy nodded with appreciation and only then Nora noticed who he was.

“Senior!” she was not expecting him to get attracted to this drama. The young man looked embarrassed by being called a senior.

Many turned to look at him in confusion. They were in senior class. How could anyone be senior to them?
