Return Of The Heiress For Revenge - Chapter 173
Chapter 173: Attacked Her
“You bitch! Now that Alex is not here, you are showing your true colors! Are you not shaking with fear anymore?” he stood up and growled at her.
Others stared at her flabbergasted too. Though Mark had lost many times from Alex. He was a person with power. Not even his friends dare to speak arrogantly with him. But she had insulted him directly?
Nora ignored him. She knew he would not reply. She had once followed Alex in that room. He looked flustered at that time.
They noticed she did not reply to them and walked toward the manager’s office.
In his whole life, Mark had never been ignored. He gritted his teeth as he felt humiliated.
“You bitch! Where do you think you are going.”He followed her with hasty steps and placed his hand on her shoulder. But before he could get a better hold of her, she covered his hand with hers. Holding it tightly, she pulled him and flipped him on the ground.
It happened at the speed of lightning. Before anyone could react, Mark was lying on the ground with his back aching. He winced and cursed. His face contorted.
“Next time, do not act unbridled in front of me.” she crouched on the ground and looked into his eyes. “Especially when I am worried about something.” her voice finally broke the spell on others and they finally blinked and ran to Mark. Mark groaned and looked exasperated.
“You! What did you do?” they all glared at her.
“Forget her. Help me.” Mike waved his hand.
“I saw Alex going to the manager’s room an hour ago. Though I am not sure if he is still there. The room had another exit.” Nora blinked. She was not expecting Mark to help her now. After getting beaten.
“Thank you.” She bowed her head gratefully and ran toward the door.
“Why did you help her? This was just her lucky shot. We could have taught her a lesson.” they all looked at Mark in confusion.
Mark shook his head. His eyes trailed at the door.
“We could not harm her enough. She had more abilities. Forget it, we are leaving.” he stood up with their help. But he still felt like his bones were broken.
They did not see it clearly. But he had felt immense power in her small body. She was strong. But could she be stronger than that man?
They all were dumbfounded. But they could only follow Mark when he left.
Nora pulled the door but realized it was locked. It was strange that they had created the ruckus but none of the staff came to stop them.
She took out her pin and tried the door again. Since the time she had returned, training herself in self defense and learning all the ways to learn was her priority.
How much she had worked hard to learn this skill. The door opened in front of her. But she did not pull it at once. She slowly created a crack and peeked.
She frowned when noticed that the room was empty. She could not see anyone. She frowned and opened the door further. The moment she entered, someone attacked her.
Nora crept further into the office, her eyes scanning every shadow, every corner. Something felt off. The silence in the room was suffocating, and she couldn’t shake the sense that she was being watched. She’d barely crossed the threshold when, out of the corner of her eye, she caught the slightest flicker of movement behind the door.
In an instant, two men sprang at her like wolves, their faces hardened and eyes cold. Nora reacted instinctively, ducking under the first man’s outstretched arm. She twisted to the side, slipping just out of reach, her body honed by hours of rigorous training. The second man threw a punch, aiming for her face. She barely dodged it, feeling the rush of air as his fist missed her by mere inches.
She retaliated with a sharp jab to his shoulder, using his momentum against him. He grunted, stumbling back, but his partner was faster, grabbing her arm in a bruising grip. Nora gritted her teeth, twisting her body sharply and breaking free from his hold. They circled her, expressions dark, clearly taken aback by her resilience.
One of the men smirked and taunted, “Not bad, sweetheart. But let’s see how long you can keep this up.”
“Try me,” she shot back, eyes flashing with defiance.
They lunged again, coordinating their attacks in a way that made it hard for her to dodge. She moved fast, slipping past one, then blocking a hit from the other. The larger man grabbed her wrist and yanked her toward him, but she used his momentum, twisting around and landing a hard elbow to his ribs. He staggered, momentarily winded, but it only seemed to anger him more.
The other man closed in on her, reaching for her shoulders to pin her down. Nora pivoted sharply and, with a swift kick to his shin, sent him reeling back. She fought fiercely, her movements quick and calculated, but they were relentless, closing in like predators sensing blood.
As she sidestepped another attack, her eyes fell on a heavy glass vase perched on a side table. She seized it, holding it at the ready. Just as one man lunged at her again, she swung the vase with all her strength, connecting squarely with his face. The impact shattered the vase, and he let out a guttural cry, stumbling back with blood streaming down his face.

The second man, however, was undeterred. While his partner clutched his injured face, he charged at her, tackling her toward the wall. Nora barely had a second to react, bringing her knee up just in time to block his advance. They grappled, each trying to gain the upper hand, but he managed to grab her shoulder, his fingers digging in painfully. He drew a knife, his face twisted with intent.
Nora’s heart pounded, but she forced herself to focus. With one swift motion, she brought her leg up and delivered a sharp kick to his side, causing him to stumble. The knife glinted under the dim light as he regained his footing, and she braced herself, keeping her eyes trained on the blade.
Before she could move again, he lunged, the knife slicing through the air. She twisted, evading the brunt of the attack, but not without a cost. The blade grazed her waist, slicing through fabric and skin. Pain shot through her, and she winced, feeling warmth spread across her side. She staggered back, pressing a hand to her wound as she watched the blood seep through her fingers.
The room felt colder now, and her vision swayed slightly. She met their eyes again, refusing to show weakness, though she knew the injury had slowed her down. The men exchanged a look, sensing her vulnerability, and closed in once more, confident she wouldn’t last much longer.
She stumbled and held the table, afraid that she would fall. They both looked at each other and attacked her together. But just as they walked close, she picked up the vase and then threw it on the one on his forehead. The man started bleeding and fell at once. Before the other could react, she kicked him and then threw the box on his face too.
