Chapter 189: Running Away!

“Are you sure she had run away with Alex?” Megan could not help but ask Penny. She held the phone tightly and whispered in a low voice, afraid that someone might hear her.

Penny was sitting in the spa. Her hair was inside the spa machine while a face mask on her face. She wanted to frown but did not.

“Does it matter? Alex’s family holds power. You can not take his name. Didn’t you write that she had run away with a man? Why bother to take a name? If asked, you can say the man did not belong to the school. Or bribe a cleaner or random worker to testify that she had run away with him. As long as there is money, proofs can be created anytime.” Penny explained in detail. Her anger rose when only silence mocked her in reply.

She sat up properly in her seat. But a girl ran to stop her from moving. Her hair was coming out from the machine. Penny closed her eyes and leaned on the chair again, relaxing the girl.

“Miss Megan, you are the warden here. A woman with power while Nora was just a student. No matter what she does, she could not outpower you. Not to forget that she had indeed been absent from the school for three days. There is nothing she could do to prove her innocence this time as long as you stick to the fact that she had run away. Her character is not good for the other students.

Megan had just finished the call when her phone rang again. Her eyes widened noticing the number. But she hid her shock and picked up the call.

“Sir!”

“Miss Sincliar, I need you in the office. Now.” her heart fell as a foreboding filled her heart.

“Is there something important?” her grip on the phone tightened instinctively when the reply did not come at once.

“It is about a girl, Nora Stone. She is here with a complaint against you. It would be better that you come soon.” The call was cut before she could reply.

Her eyes shot dagger. Her rage was burning her chest.

“That little wench! Since she wanted to play, I will play with her until she dies.” Megan stood up with a dark face. She instantly called a few numbers and found a man to play his part.

“I will offer you a generous sum but you have to reach here in an hour and claim that you have run away with Nora. no matter what the girl or others say, you can not back out. I will handle the rest of the things and promise you that you will be paid generously.” Her words enticed the man immediately.

When she cut the call, her eyes were cold and full of viciousness. Nora was just a young girl. Instead of knowing her place, she decided to challenge her! Now she would regret it.

When Megan arrived at the principal’s office, a few teachers were already looking at her eagerly. Though she had a sore relationship with a few girls, she did not interact with teachers often. But never had anyone complained against her. She has a good image in the staff, so many looked at her worriedly.

Who does not know Nora now? The girl had changed drastically in the past two months. And whoever had tried to insult the girl had regretted it. So they were worried for Megan.

But Megan only smiled at them and nodded. Without saying a word to anyone, she entered the office.

“Miss Sincliar, please sit down.” Kai offered a seat to Megan and nodded. “I heard that you have asked Nora’s head teacher to rusticate her for two weeks and banned her from the dorms under the charge of..” he hesitated and returned Megan’s letter to her.

“You have claimed that her character did not sit well with the norms and she would be a bad influence to others. But can you prove your claim?” her voice did not blame anyone. It gave hope to Megan.

She nodded solemnly.

“Three days earlier, when I was taking a round, I saw Nora running in the hallway. When I called for her, she did not reply. She had a large bag in her hands and in front of my eyes, she ran toward the exit. I followed her thinking that there must be an emergency. But sir, i was stunned to see a man twice her age was waiting for her at the exit. She passed the bag to him and ran away with him in the taxi. I was horrified by the accident.”
