“Sure, go ahead, I am already used to it. But have you thought about what will happen to the precious image of your student?” he mocked. By now, he had realized that there were many flaws in their story.

He was sure that any girl would be flustered by these kinds of allegations and when he would pressure, she would only cry and repeat that she had not done it. But Nora had only stayed calm, she had been so rational that it was baffling.

As if she had known all this from the start. And she had prepared all the questions in advance. She knew that he was going to come! But how? Even he did not know that he was going to come here!!

His eyes narrowed at the girl to intimidate her. But what he saw left shivers down his spine. The girl was looking at him with killing intent.

“I do not care about my reputation. Go on, and call the police.” Nora nodded at the hesitating principal.

“No, that would not be needed. Throw him out of the school and make sure he is never seen in this vicinity. If he is around, call the police for trespassing. Now throw him out.” the man chuckled as if he knew how the principal would react.

Only the girl was a deviant. He turned around and left with a smirk. But Megan was covered in cold sweat.

“You have a lot of explaining to do, Miss Megan or you will lose your job right now.” Megan’s eyes widened. She had already prepared herself for the worst. In her case, it should be scolding or demotion. But getting fired!

“You can do this to me. I have signed a five year contract with the school.” her shrill voice made everyone frown. She did not even have an explanation yet, she claimed she had a contract!

Shameless! Absolutely shameless!

Every teacher looked at her with disgust.

“Then do you want to continue working in the dorms? Accusing every girl for crimes they have never committed?” asked Mr Summer with a glare.

“You.. What does it have to do with you? Why are you taking her side so much? Do not tell me that she had a relationship with you too!”

“Slap!” silence fell in the whole office. Everyone was stunned but not a single person felt pity on Miss Megan who was slapped.

They all nodded at Mr Summers.

“You.. How dare you!” she pointed her finger at him. Tears started to brim in her eyes.

“This is nothing, Miss Megan. If you do not shut up, I will sue you for slandering me and make sure that you pay a huge fine or spend your life in jail.” his cold threat shook Megan.

She had accused and cursed girls so many times that it had been imbibed in her bones. She did not realize that teachers would not be that complacent. After all, they were permanent staff while she was only a contractual warden.

She glared at Nora. It was all her mistake. She had been in absolute power since the start! Things started to go bad since she had come into the dorms. It was all her mistake!

“Drag her out of the school too. We will send her dues and resignation letter to her house. Sign it as soon as you get it, that’s the best I can do for you.” if she would write a resignation, she would apply somewhere else. But if they fired her and stated the reason, she would not be able to find a job anywhere and had to change her career.

But in her age, it would be hard to find a new job too since she had no experience.

“Sir..” she clutched her dress tightly and begged in a quivering voice. Her tear stained and swollen face looked pitiful. But not a single person felt pity for him.

Many only felt disgust that she still had the audacity to bargain.

“Go, before I change my decision.” Principal Kai frowned too. She bit her lips. Knowing that no one would listen to her, she glanced at Nora viciously and left the office.

“Nora!” Many teachers who had been cold to Noa and had misunderstood her, felt embarrassed. They did not know how to beg the girl.

A teacher came forward and bowed her head.

“I apologize for misunderstanding you and behaving coldly to you without knowing the truth. As a teacher, I should not believe in rumors and judge from my experience. I have failed.” her voice was sincere and regretful. Nora blinked.

She had believed that their view for her changed. But she had never expected to receive an apology.

Following that teacher, many came forward. They did not bow their heads. But many apologized to her. Those who did not, could not meet her eyes.

“That is.. Even my family is accusing me. So how can others not believe? No one is at fault.” she spoke with a wry smile and bowed her head instead. “It is me who should apologize. I have shown such a dirty side of me and my family in the school.”

“…” now that she had mentioned it, they all realized that it was Penny and her mother who had painted her image in their minds. From parents’ meetings to annual functions, they have subtly accused Nora for doing many things.

If not for that, would they have been so partial to her. The feeling of being used was never a good one. They all felt insulted to be used this way. Their eyes went cold and their faces looked ugly. Nora gently smiled. The results were much better than she had expected.

Principal Kai felt embarrassed too. Holding the pen tightly, he announced.

“Nora, you should go and prepare for the exam. Since you are injured, i will request them to skip inter school competition and let you take part in the inter provincial exam directly. But after that, only your hard work could take you further.”
