Chapter 212: You Will Fall, Sister!

“Today is your last exam, best of Luck.” the teacher spoke softly with a warm smile on her face. But no one felt at ease when she spoke up. They all were nervous because today, exams were not held one subject after another! It was an exam combined with all subjects!

More than that, it was not a written exam where they could get the chance to pause and think but an oral buzzer round where the speed matters most. It increased a lot of pressure on them.

More than that, each person collected here was an expert in their field. They could ask something that is not exactly in the syllabus.

“We will start from language! Most of you have chosen Germany or French. Translate these words..”

“Correct answer!”

“You are wrong, one more mistake and you will be out.” The sound of the announcers had increased great pressure on everyone. But more than that, everyone was pressured by the presence of Leonora Stone. Either she did not speak, but if she did, her answer was always right and to the point.

Out of thirty questions asked from different subjects, she had given seventeen of them correct. While three consecutive wrong answers had eliminated many of them. Only seven students were left in the game.

Penny was pale but her eyes were spitting fire. Nora should be suffering from ill digestion. She had personally checked if the plates were empty. She had waited till late night to check that Nora did not call for any doctor.

How could she be so calm? If looks could kill, Nora would have died many times already. Alishia looked paler, she had given two wrong answers already. One more and she would be out too.

“Penny, even if you have not given wrong answers, your score is the lowest. So concentrate.” the teacher could not help but remind her. Everyone could see she was only staring at Nora listlessly.

Penny blinked. Her fist tightened. What was there to see, the result was already clear. Nora was taking the lead from ten questions and only twenty were left.

If she gave even ten more answers, she would win but she could not let that happen.

“Nora! Have some water.” She took out her bottle and offered it to her. She did not care if she would be blamed later. She did not have time to make a detailed plan. As long as there was no proof, they could accuse her all they want.

Nora turned to look at Penny. With a smile that pierced Penny’s soul and her hands tightened on the bottle.

“Last night’s soup was enough, My dear sister. I do need more of those medicines.” Penny froze. She gulped with eyes flickering. But then she feigned ignorance.

“Hmm, you meant the brownie?” She knew teachers could hear them. There was no way Nora could prove anything as long as she did not make a mistake. But how? How the hell did she know that?

Nora just smiled and looked away. Her sharp eyes were on the teachers.

“India, it is the fifth largest economy with 5 trillion of GDP.”

“Correct answer again. Well done.” The question had only asked for Name of the country, but Nora had added more details even when she was talking leisurely with Penny. What kind of monster was she?

Even teachers were paying particular attention to her now and smiling at her whenever she offered a right answer.

Partial! They all were partial! Penny gritted her teeth and concentrated on the rest of the questions.

“Suspense account, this is where we transfer the amount if the balance of the debit and credit side did not match.” Penny held her pen tightly as she replied. The teacher smiled and nodded.

“Good work. Correct answer.” Penny smirked. She could win anytime. Why was she wasting her time on playing tricks? Nora could not stand in front of her.

But so she thought. As the intensity of questions increased, Alisha was the first to be out with many other students. Only four of them remained.

“0ne more mistake and you would be out, Pennelope Stone!” The harsh voice made Penny grit her teeth. Nora was still leading with hundred percent accuracy. As if she knew the questions in advance!

She even outperformed the two senior high students who participated in the contest three years ago!

“Wrong answer. Three wrong answers in a row. Pennelope Stone of the Southern Province, out.”

Penny’s face was pale. Without blinking, she stared at Nora who was sitting with nine more students. But the result was already evident.

She eliminated a student easily. When a French teacher asked her questions, she answered like a native French speaker without any pause!

She really could speak French! Damn it! How come Penny had never known that!

Every teacher in presence smiled approvingly… at Nora! Not her, but Nora!

They were smiling at that wicked girl who she had always looked down on!

Her sharp nails pierced into her palms, but Penny did not feel the pain. All she could feel was that Nora was so brilliant standing on that podium. How she wished she could get rid of her!

How could an orphan girl stand here and get the attention of all the teachers and win the appreciation of everyone?!

If not for Nora, she could definitely pass the exam!

It was her! It was the damned Nora who had yaken her attention and she did not concentrate on the contest from the start. If not for her, she would have given more right answers. Nora had given her tremendous pressure, making her fail consequently!

After answering the French teacher, Nora turned to look at the crowd and smiled. It got her a cheer but Penny knew! This wicked girl was looking at her with that smirk. She was rubbing her success on Penny’s face to insult her!

“Nora! She is my idol. How did I never know such a bright girl is your sister, Penny! You must introduce us later.”
