Chapter 218: Penny Is Kidnapped!

Alisha could not sleep till one o’clock because Penny kept talking to someone over the phone. She was not loud, but the room was too silent. And it looked like she was talking to a young man with her words. She blushed a few times and only slept when the call was infally cut.

When she opened her eyes, the room was empty.

“They did not even wake me up before leaving.” her eyes dimmed. Though she had not expected much from Penny, she had thought Nora would count her as a friend now.

Shaking her head, she took out a woolen dress and got ready. When she joined everyone in the dining area, she saw students chatting excitedly. But she could not find Penny or Nora.

She picked up her breakfast and went to Mr Summers.

“Sir, do you know where Penny and Nora are?” Coincidentally, he was going to ask the same question to her. He frowned hearing her.

“Were you not all sharing a room last night? I should be the one asking you. Where are they? Everyone is already here. It would not look good if everyone would be late because of us.”

Looking at Alisha’s worried face, he sighed. He was panicking a bit too much after the accident last night. He softened his voice and asked her again,

“Maybe they were exploring the hotel. Call them if you can not find them.”

Alisha felt she was dumb that she could not think of such a simple thing. She picked up her phone and called Nora. The call was only picked up when it was about to get cut.

“Hello!” the voice came panting.

“Where are you? Are you alright?” Alisha frowned hearing Nora.

“Yes, I am good. I am going to take a bath in the room and join you for breakfast. You are in the dining area. Right?” Alisha frowned. Nora was in the room. But she did not see Nora there.

“Yes, umm Nora. Do you know where Penny is?” there was a long pause on the other side.

“No!” and the call was cut just like that. Alisha looked at her phone and sighed. The conversation felt rather strange.

Reluctantly, she dialed Penny’s number. But the phone was switched off.

“Oh!” she dialed a few times more but each time, the switched off message was received.

The teacher was looking at her closely. He frowned when she kept calling the number.

“Tell me what happened. Is it Penny again?” Looking at his ugly expression, ALisha was sure that he wanted to curse but was controlling hard. She softly nodded her head, feeling his anger.

“This girl! What is it this time?” In his long career, he had never thought that Penny was a troublesome child. But now he was not sure anymore.

“She is not in the room and her phone is switched off.” looking at the face getting darker every second, Alisha felt suffocated standing there. “Shall I go and look for her? Maybe she is with others and I have looked properly.”

“I have looked for all three of you before you have come here. Forget it, let’s all look for her and ask the staff. Do you have her picture on your phone?” The voice sounded so helpless and raging at the same time that Alisha nodded obediently.

Nora came and joined them. But looking at their gloomy faces, she paused.

“You could not find her?” she asked directly, earning a sigh from the teacher.

“Split around and look. If we can not find her before the breakfast ends, we will inform others and ask for help and keep calling her. If you find her, inform me immediately.” The man looked exhausted just thinking about it.

He went and whispered something to the other teacher. Her face paled at once and they both left the dining room together.

“Nora, where were you? I was worried.” Nora looks at the leaving teacher with a dark gleam in her eyes.

“I went to run.” she whispered shortly. “Let’s split and look. You go and ask her friends. I will look in the garden and other areas.” Before Alisha could react, Nora had already left.

With a sigh, Alisha went to ask the students who had been close to Penny yesterday.

“Kane!” She was hoping that Nora would be with him. But he was playing a finger game with a few friends. “Do you know where Penny is? I could not find her.”

The boy raised a brow unhurriedly and smiled. “Perhaps the girl did not want to see you.” many laughed hearing her. Alisha bit her lips and leaned toward Kane, shocking everyone.

“The teachers could not find her either. But they have decided to look first before informing everyone. So do not make a ruckus even if you do not want to help me.” after saying her piece. She looked around.

Kane frowned. He stood up and followed Alisha. They asked a few more students but none of them had seen Penny. They returned to her room to check and then asked a few staff.

It had been an hour and the breakfast ended. The students were collected in front of the bus. They were chatting excitedly while looking at the teachers, asking silently why they were not leaving yet.

The teachers looked grim too. One of them took out her phone and dialed a number. Her impatient and disapproving look scared a few students.

“Where are you, everyone is waiting for your school only!” her voice was stern and cold but her eyes widened hearing the reply.

“What! What did you say?” She looked at the other teachers with uneasiness. “But she was there last night. No?”

The teacher went silent. It was a long pause for everyone.

“She is the same girl who got injured last night. Right?” a helpless sigh escaped her lips. “Alright I understand. Yes, of course we will help. Do not worry, we will find her soon.” The woman cut the call looking gloomier.

“The girl, Penny, who had spilled the soup on herself last night. She is missing and we all have to look for her. Sorry guys, the trekking is canceled.”
