Return Of The Heiress For Revenge - Chapter 233
Chapter 233: A Miracle.
Even when the exam had started, Nora did not react. The teacher took a few rounds in the class before she stood up beside Nora and did not from there for this whole time. As if she was making sure that Nora could not cheat.
A few students frowned looking at the partiality while a few students sneered.
“What is the biggest drawback of Chemotherapy?” she asked at once when she noticed Nora was solving a crucial equation. She knew this was the best time to ask a question.
“The biggest issue is..” but the reply came so smoothly as if she had asked the question to a computer. The reply came in a calm voice with no pause.
“What is..” she continued. She could not believe that a girl from a developing country could be so talented to challenge her thesis.
But no matter how many questions she asked or what context she used, the reply always came in the same tone, same pause and elegance. It was a miracle to see her reply. Many students had paused their exam and only watched the teacher and Nora interact.
But what was surprising was, Nora’s pen did not stop even for a second. She was writing and replying at the same time. Another teacher standing near the board was covered in cold sweat.
She was assigned to note the marks of the students in the oral exam. Nora had so many ten points in front of her name while the teacher had not asked other students a single question.
They started to look impatient. They did not know if the teacher was supporting Nora or trying to harass her.
“Mam, are you going to give us a chance or not? I am going to complain about it.” many others nodded. They did not want to offend the teachers but they wanted marks too.
The teacher was furious. Her face was red and she quivers with rage. Gritting her teeth, she finally left Nora and went to ask questions from other students.
“What is the..”
“Where is the..”
“Explain the concept of..”
“Ring!” Finally the bell rang after three long hours. The teacher had asked a total of hundred and fifty questions with fifty questions given to Nora alone. She had five hundred points while the second student had two hundred points. The gap was too much from the start.
Everyone felt pressed looking at the board.
“It is all because of the teacher.” a few complained as they left. Mrs Jennifer Moore looked at the leaving students coldly.
Amyra was waiting for the woman in the corner of the hallways. When Jennifer noticed Amyra standing there, she passed the collected sheets to the other teachers and whispered something in her ears.
The teacher left with a nod.
“Mam, i am so happy that i got the chance to visit you.” As the other teacher left, Amyra walked toward Jennifer and held her hands with a large smile on her face. Jennifer smiled back. Her face looked much softer now.
“Teacher, I heard that you have been promoted recently for your new research work. Alas, I have made no progress after leaving. I wish I could return and work with you.” her soft voice was full of longing and regret.
The teacher smiled with pride. This was her best student. Together they were looking for better cures for cancer.
“Silly child, you could always return here. But have you chased the boy you have left for?” Amyra blushed instantly. She looked like a young girl in her teens.
“He is too cold to me, teacher, you know he has come here too. He is accompanying Nora. but he did not spare me a second glance. By the way, did you meet Nora stone?” her voice had a hint of hesitation. How could it be escaped from Jennifer’s eyes?
“Ha! The girl who claimed to find cure for cancer in herbs! She is not bad. But how could a young girl like her be so talented!” Jennifer was sure before. But now, her voice was not certain. Perhaps Nora was really a genius. Amyra noticed the uncertainty and her eyes went dark.
“Yes, I have heard that she missed preliminary screening because of her research work. Do you think we should ask her to join us? Perhaps she could help you?” Amyra looked sincere. Her words had nothing wrong. Except.. She knew how proud this woman was!
She would never accept that a child could leave her behind. As expected, her eyes went cold.
“But how could she compare to you, teacher? The team was too lenient and biased when it came to Nora stone. After all, her family had a good name.”
“So that was it. Tch! I will see how she fails here. And then did she still have a face to stand tall and proud. Amyra, you must not be deceived by her. You are doing great.” They exchanged a few more words where Amyra praised the woman for her intellect and slowly manipulated her against Nora.

“You do not need to worry. The next exam would be..” they both laughed and slowly Jennifer parted from Amyra when her phone rang.
Amyra stood there smiling as she waved to her teacher. But the moment the old woman left, her eyes went cold and full of hatred.
“Tch! So she did not fail the first exam.” She turned on her heels. It was easy to find Nora since she never leaves her room.
“Nora..” Amyra called her sweetly. “I heard about your great performance in today’s exam. But you know the exams are only going to be more difficult from here on.” she sighed as if she was worried about the thin girl. “But our country had so many hopes from you. You know, I know the teacher here. She had given me a few hints. If you study them, you would surely gain some extra marks. Here I have marked all the questions for you. Good luck.”
