Chapter 244: Call The Doctor Now

“What is it?” She looked at them coldly with a slight frown of impatience as if she did not understand why they had disturbed her early in the morning.

“I..” director Reid felt flustered. He glared at the teachers behind him. “We heard that there was someone in your room.” he looked at her apologetically as if telling her from his expressions that he wanted to be anywhere but here.

“I do not understand. Someone was in my room and every teacher came to meet me?” she tilted her head and feigned rare ignorance. She spoke loud enough for Alric to hear.

His grip on the door tightened. He closed his eyes and leaned on the door. She was right. If they all come to check her room, he could not hide at such an obvious place. But if Amyra knew that he was here, she would even check beneath the rugs if needed.

If that was the case, what would be the use of hiding?

“That is not the case.” Director Reid shifted at his feet and looked back. A woman standing behind him sighed and spoke first, “girl! Is there someone in your room?” her upfront voice and straightforward look made Nora blink but she nodded instantly.

“Yes, Mr Spencer is in my room.” Alric froze. Even though he had anticipated it, he was still stunned that she announced it to the world. He could have found a way to leave her room unannounced.

The woman was equally stunned. So as the teachers. Even if they knew someone was in her room, they never expected her to accept it.

“Why?” The teacher took a step forward. Nora stopped aside to give them room as if she had nothing to hide. The teachers scanned the room as if they were investigators looking for proof.

Their eyes zoomed on the messy bed and narrowed. The temperature in the room shifted. The air was so heavy that it would be hard to breathe. With so many teachers around her, everyone experienced in their fields had a cold look on their faces and after looking at the room, they all stared at her coldly.

“Where is he now?”

“He is in the washroom. He will be out any minute.” she pointed at the washroom without a finch or nervousness. Her eyes were so clear that it confused a few teachers. She was a merit student who had performed so well in the test that they could not be careless about this incident.

“Why is this here in the first place, Miss Stone?” Director Reid would give her another chance even if others did not agree to him.

“I was worried about today’s test. My health is not good either. My ill health had made me nervous and I wanted someone to help me with last minute notes.

Mr Spencer had offered me help many times and so did Miss Ainston. I called both of them in the morning. Miss Ainston did not pick up. I think she sleeps till late. But Mr Spencer picked it up. He agreed to help me.

But I do not know. After coming to my room. He is sick too and like me, he is spending most of his time in the washroom.” Nora sighed and looked aggrieved.

The teachers exchanged glances.

“You mean he was in a good condition but became sick after coming to your room?” Nora nodded. Alric sighed! This girl! She was much more shrewd than he had expected. He was worried for nothing.

Splashing some water drops on his face, he opened the door and walked out of the room. The laxatives and drugs in his body had placed his face already. He looked like he had puked his guts out.

So even if people noticed his crumpled shirt, they only thought it was because of his ill health. He rubbed his forehead as if it was hard to bear. But then he frowned looking at all of them.

“Teachers!” he nodded at them. “You all are here?” Nora smiled at him but he looked away. This girl was a natural. But he still needs to concentrate to act.

“Mr spencer.” Director Ried looked behind him. They all were equally confused by Nora’s words. “What happened to you?” perhaps Alric could explain better.

His face fell the moment he was asked.

“This girl’s water is spiked!” he spoke through gritted teeth. “When I received a call from her that she was feeling sick and was not sure about today’s exam. I was worried so I decided to give it a look. But who would have thought I would be sick with her.

I have only drank some water. It had an awful taste. But before I could check, i..” he shook his head with an exasperated look. “I can not believe that the students were not safe under the watch of so many teachers. But..” he looked at them again, confused. “I did not know that all of you would come to check it. Or something else had happened too?”

“….” they felt embarrassed. Before they could even inform Nora that a student had accused her of doing adult deeds in her room by calling men, they found out that her water was spiked and she was sick.

“Umm, excuse me.” Before he could find the right words to explain himself, Nora held her stomach tightly and entered the washroom. Alric frowned looking at the closed door? Was she acting? It was such a perfect act? Should he act too? He held his abdomen when the door was closed looking uncomfortable. He groaned looking at the closed door but did not complain.

Teachers looked at each other embarrassed. They understood that he wanted to go instead again but held up because Nora was inside.

“Director Reid, if i did not find a proper answer, i am going to complain about it to higher up. I hope you would not feel unjustified then.”

“I will call the doctor now, Mr Spencer. Your treatment is more important than any other thing.”
